Hello Alorians, I would love as much feedback as possible on this. I'm not necessarily suggesting this but more wanting to see what other players think. Depending on the feedback, I believe it could be implemented as a official suggestion. 

 

The Alora Way: Currently a player can purchase a rune defender on the first floor of the warriors guild.

An NPC in the animation room sell's one for 400 tokens. That player would then have to go upstairs for a chance at a Dragon.

 

The Issue: No where does it display information letting players know that rune defenders are available on the first floor.

7 times out of 10, a player is just gathering tokens and then going upstairs trying to get a Bronze, Iron, Steel, Mithril, Adamant, Rune, and then dragon defender and wondering why in the world they're not receiving drops. Once they find out that you could purchase a rune defender, they're completely out of hope.

 

The 07 Way: Basically making it to where the NPC on the first floor does not sell defenders. A player would have to stack their tokens and then proceed upstairs to obtain in order bronze-dragon defender. (This would take longer, I understand. However, this is the correct way)

 

Solutions: Now we could add a text that displays when a player teleports to the Warriors Guild something like 'You can purchase rune defenders first on the bottom floor'

Or adding the 07 Way.

I have over 30 days playtime and I never knew this -.- luckely I got my defender from kourend cyclops. My alt was less Lucky though.

Currently (from my point of view) the way you obtain a defender is somewhat confusing & silly. I guess it can be beneficial that there is an option to buy a Rune defender with tokens how-ever most users that join Alora on a daily basis aren't aware of the fact you can buy one. & when they do, they are confused as to why the Cylop's are still dropping the same defender they have just purchased. In my eyes, it should be exactly like Runescape. That way it would save confusion & not only that but it would be keeping it original as to how you go about getting defenders.

It would be nice to have the WG work as it does on 07, i made the misstake myself to spend about 1 hour trying to get a bronze defender before someone told me i could just buy a rune one. Support

tbh I feel like this just adds time to something that really isn't that helpful, maybe make it so that ironman have to do all to add to the challenge, but for normies I think buying it is fine

I fully SUPPORT this idea. When I first started Alora, I had to buy Rune Defender (after getting 3 bronze defenders in a row from the top floor) then had to get Dragon Defender from Kourend Catacombs. I know this is fixed, but just recently I tried getting a second dragon defender and kept getting random defenders (bronze, iron, mithril, black).

Making this work the same as in OSRS would make it much more simple and clear up any confusion. If this is going to be fixed, may as well make the attack cape worl as well.

Im with Bloo... the Dragon Defender is pretty tedious to get anyway so having to grind out the rest is just a liberty.
