Let me preface this - I love the 2010 graphics and would definitely use them over the 2007 version.

 

However, why on Earth is this graphics update prioritized over the multitude of fixes that we've seen promised in previous dev blogs? No Raids revamp yet, no TOB fixes, no LMS, etc.

@Sassafras I completely understand your concern. There are numerous reasons why this is being prioritized, and it does not mean that those other updates are not being worked on, just that this one is also being worked on. We have multiple developers, I've been primarily working on this update for a few weeks while Chad works on server related updates (such as the ones you've mentioned), and another developer is working on fixing up RuneLite bugs that arise. We also wanted to wrap up the client updates with this piece of content that we think really sets us apart from other RSPS, there are no others that offer HD + 2010 style graphics + RuneLite simultaneously. Nonetheless, we are still working on server updates simultaneously :)

 

 

@Extremedanny OSRS areas (eg. the Zulrah map and boss) will look exactly how the do on Alora right now. The only difference is your character / items will look different in that area.

This brings back those RSHD times. I remember those first 508 servers which I was really a fan of. So I’m really looking forward how this will be and hopefully this will prove those crybabies above the wrong.

I FUCKING loved the HD look back in 2010, this will actually get me back into the game, good work brother!!!

In that case, maybe it's not too late for Omicron to just completely scrap the idea...

 

OT: Love it or hate it, some people will enjoy it, maybe the infernal cape won't be black on this view :)

We know you’re all working hard on reworks etc, this is something super nice for in the meantime, you’ve just smashed out runelite and I am happy for something not a priority like this to be added, people are really going to enjoy it, 2010 was one of the better years of Runescape. This looks like it will be a very nice update for the players who are interested in HD. I personally will be sticking to the older graphics as thats what i like playing on.
