How would this benefit Alora?:Right now to get rogues outfit it costs 2000 vote points.

 

This is how many vote points im getting per book @ immortal rank + bonus vote points is on. 

So this means at 52 vote points per book it would take me approx 39 vote books to get this entire set.

 

People usually sell vote books at ~8m per book thats 312m for a untradeable set that is really only used in 1 place (blood shards)

 

Currently on trading post i could buy the following items for 276m

Bandos Chestplate, Bandos Tassets, Arma Chestplate, Arma chainskirt, arma helmet, ahrim top, ahrim bottom, ahrim hood, trident of the swamp, tentacle whip, blowpipe, pegasian boots, primordial boots, eternal boots, occult, fury, and mage's book.

 

It is very unreasonable that a untradeable set that is used for 1 thing should cost more than the amount of pvm gear that i just listed that can do 99% of the content on the server.

 

 

 

Edit: Also this is at immortal rank, this set would cost so much more for others that have less rank and dont have books stacked for 1.5x vote book pts.

Don't think it makes sense that a skilling outfit should cost the same as high tier gear.

price should lower or be added to another shop(daily points maybe).

Big support, currently for my rank it would cost 800m to buy vote books to get rogues. That's nearly $60/70 worth of bonds lol.

I'd rather do rogues den minigame and have it be 1/100 per piece instead honestly

No support, the number of bonus blood shards/enhanced crystals you get on the way to 200m thieving far outweighs the cost of the outfit, extremely useful especially for ironmen.

Not against moving it to another moving it to another shop which would require an equivalent amount of effort to obtain

Big support on this topic rogue outfit is kinda expensive at this moment, I did 200m thieving on my eim with full rogues outfit and never gotten a single double bloodshard so no the cost doesn't outweigh the benefits.

200m's should not be brought up in this topic. Not everyone goes for 200ms and most people want the set so they can get 2x instead of 1x when they go for the drop. Yes its really insane for people going for 200m thieving but again not everyone goes for 200m skills.

Actually, you know what lets bring up 200ms as well.

 

Blood Shard from pickpocketing 1/5k  this is from 99 (13m xp) to 200m xp. 11,390 pickpockets. So you would get 4 blood shards (2 +2 from double drop). 37m x 4 =148m. Not op you wouldnt even make your money back if you were immortal/eternal! imagine how much you'd lose on the set if u werent this high of rank.

 

So thats normie/ironman rate.

 

 

HCIM:   14 blood shards =518m. You'd make youre money back if you were immortal/eternal but not other ranks

 

GIM: 20 blood shards = 740m. still you would not be making your money back (based off extreme donor saying he would need 800m to buy the set)

 

also these are ironman accounts, not everyone drop trades wealth.

Can't really argue with the math there. Has my support, been a long time proponent of reducing the price of that outfit despite being in the group with reduced price. Thanks for doing the math for us.

I guess for eim and gim its 999 vote points for the set rather than 2k? I'd be happy with set costing 1k tbh but it costs 2k :/

Huge support, anyone against this would have no common sense about mathematical equations and return on investments.

Agreed.. no support , on the way to 200M I have collected enough resources & don’t think this change will be necessary .

Maybe just lower it a little for the easier game modes, the harder game modes its not that many. Also helps promote voting which is how we stay as a top 3 server every month.

That's like 5 minutes of daily work for a little over 1 month...   Under 1 month for sure if you've got a phone with a data plan to vote twice.  

Plus, you're rewarded with 39 hours of bonus xp.  The vote points are just a side perk. 

 

What's my point?

 

To find the true cost of rogues outfit, you have to subtract the value of 39 hours of bxp from the 312m cost for rogue's outfit vote books.  

 

312m in vote books = 39 hours of bxp + 2,000 vote points for rogues outfit 

 

Therefor... 

 

rogues outfit cost = 312m - value of 39 hours of bxp

 

Saying 'full rogue outfit costs 312m' and then jumping to conclusions with 'it doesn't yield enough return to be worth the 312m cost' is be both misleading and inaccurate.

 

Why?  You forgot to factor in the value of 39 hours of bxp.  How do you find that value?

 

With that 39 hours of bxp -> you shorten your grind time -> and the time you saved  -> has an opportunity cost -> aka the amount of gp you can make with the time saved -> that is your value of 39 hours of bxp

 

You'd have to subtract that number from 312m to get an accurate estimate of rogues outfit cost.  

 

But that's a lil too complicated... Here's how I'd estimate the true cost of rogue's outfit

 

5 min x 39 times = 195 min of your life = 3.25 hours of work. 

 

Do I think 3.25 hours of work is too much to ask for permanent double pickpocketing loot?  Absolutely not.   Just keeping it real.

Do you know the amount of progress an account can make in 1 month of time ? I can tell you its FAR more than just being able to get double loot from pickpocketing. Lets be real here since you want to keep it real.

I agree its a great incentive to vote, but i promise you this set is not the item that keeps people voting each month, it might be one of the reasons but i promise you people are spending vote points for other things way more often

Sorry 5*39/60 was too much for you to handle.  A 5 minute activity done 39 times takes 3.25 hours.  Wow math.

You can get far more than double loot from pickpocketing in a month, so what?  How does that justify your case to reduce the cost of rogue's outfit?

A 300m investment for a skilling outfit that only pays off(not every time) if you go for 200m experience in a skill is quite ridiculous in my opinion.

 

You can get this set in 30 minutes with little requirements on OSRS and you passively get it from pickpocketing on most other servers while on Alora the only source for this set is the vote shop, so I'd like to see the cost reduced AND an in-game source added for this set ( https://www.alora.io...native-options/ )
