I've been wondering if in-game playtime is accurate or not? Right now I have around 45 days played spread throughout my accounts and I'm 99% sure I've played a lot more than that.

I believe there was an update maybe a year or so ago when playtime was "fixed", but I don't think it's still completely accurate.

 

What are your thoughts, is it accurate and would any of you like to see your true playtime?

I am sure it's not 100% accurate, but still close to that. However don't think any of us can tell whatever it is or not as we can't see the code behind it.  You need to remain some kind of activity to keep it running and like you already mentioned in the thread it was bugged or whatever happened with it on the begin. Personally don't really care if it's not 100% accurate or not as you don't play for the sake of the playtime.

It’s probably not 100% accurate, but it’s nice to see that playtime add up to 50d, especially for the veteran rank hunters.

The playtime is relatively accurate, but it stops counting if you’re AFK after a few minutes. For all intents and purposes though, it’s pretty accurate to gauge how much time you’ve spent in-game.

it is pretty close to accurate. sometimes i even look at it and am like well.. i know i played more than that lol. but it is pretty close.

i belive its close i have over 83 days logged

Shows only 2 days gametime for me knowing I've been logged on for more than that. Doesn't bother me tho, I don't really pay attention to it.
