What is your suggestion?:

Give the skilling pets a use to encourage us to have them out instead of storing in bank instantly. I wouldn't want it anything major, few examples of perks:

Beaver -> Chops extra log every once in awhile (similar to donator perk but not as common)

Heron -> Catches an extra fish every once in awhile.

Rift Guardian -> Essence not used up upon runecraft on a lowish chance

Rock Golem -> X% chance to mine an extra ore (similar to varrock armoud 4)

Squirrel -> Double agility xp drop on an odd chance

Rocky -> Steal twice on one thieve (low chance)

Tangleroot -> Chance for seed to be planted on 2nd growth stage (?)

Baby Chin -> Attracts a chin to your box (?)

These perks could obviously be changed to something else to better fit the pet.

Is this in OSRS?:

No

Has this suggestion been accepted already?:

I don't believe so

How would this benefit Alora?:

This would give people more of an incentive to skill with pets instead of storing in bank as soon as you get them or even go for them just to have the perk. Would need to have the perks on a low or very low chance so its not needed to actually have the pet to grind out a skill. It would also justify spending 10M coins to insure the pet. If this was introduced I'd like to see skilling pets harder to obtain.

I can see this being classed as a custom so I would not be against it if it was declined as I like how similar to osrs Omi has kept us.

No support. Sorry sounds kind of like summoning skill on rs3. Also would like to keep the integrity of the pets were they are just cosmetics.

No support, just because I don’t think it’s worth the development time.

No support, I collect pets just cause its fun and gives me incentive to grind the skill. Doesn't need any extra benefit.

No support.

I’ll pass on the custom, RS3-esque scape every time.

@EIM GRND I like where you are going with this suggestion. Personally and a lot others can agree, some of the perks you suggested seem to op or "custom" if you wanna call it that. I agree that adding a small benefit or make pets (looking at skilling pets) harder to obtain. Each of the pets would be a nice addition to as you stated add more personal value to a pet someone has achieved. The fact that OSRS hasn't even touched on this as majority of pets are strictly cosmetic, possibly resetting some pets such as herons, beavers, and or rock golems and decrease the chance of getting them significantly. To put it into perspective doing 1-200m mining xp on a NORMIE account got me roughly 40 golems, 200m fishing ~30 herons. These pets are pretty much useless to all and have no meaning behind them. If there is a way to somehow combat this problem, you'd get my support. For now, I'm neutral and for the suggestion purposes, I don't support any of these suggested, Sorry.

no support, they're cosmetic. Even though the boosts you suggested aren't overpowered at all, I don't think it'll be a good idea.
