This was from November 24th 2019's update "[23/11/19] Theatre of Blood pets, Jewelry Decanting, Autocast saving & more!"

 

The following staffs now provide unlimited water runes:

• Trident of the swamp
• Trident of the seas
• Trident of the swamp (e)
• Trident of the seas (e)

 

 

I can't find anything anywhere about this being reverted or anything, but I just tried both versions of the staff (not the enchanted versions) and neither provides water runes. Does anyone know what happened with this update?

if i had to guess.. they removed.. i mean it sounds ridiculous to allow those staff  to have infinite water runes when the trident is already OP.. since you really only need zulrah scales instead of runes.

It got reverted 2 or 3 days after that update, it was way too OP and not coded in OSRS.

Can understand why it was reverted, sounded pretty OP.
