What is your suggestion?:

  1. add the ability to create elemental/catalytic/gold tiaras
  2. add the ability to attune tiaras with the hat of the eye
  3. add all unique/elemental/catalytic talisman functionality at all altars 
  4. allow players to trade in abyssal lanterns for 100 abyssal pearls (edit: @mochiii confirmed this is already in the game)
  5. add the Reward Guardian and intricate bag lootations to the drop searcher
  6. add # of rifts closed to the collection log
  7. add a 5 second delay after reaching 100% guardian charge before closing the rift
  8. add a feature to gamble extra abyssal needles for abyssal dyes
  9. remove the dangerous warning when using the GOTR teleport

How would this benefit Alora?:

 

  1. reduces 1 inventory space when crafting runes
     
  2. allows Raiments of the Eye set effect + same 1 inventory space reduction unknown.png
     
  3. used in conjunction with ring of elements; allows for chaos altar escape from 9 wildy via talisman66fbc7f13e24d0a8d32dc3ad697a34a0.gif
     
  4. allows useless, untradeable dupes to be exchanged for useful pearls
     
  5. helps motivate players to grind; alora rift rates are 1.23x osrs; intricate pouch unlocks 3 uniques (lost bag, tarnished locket/ amulet of the eye)
     
  6. matches up with Wintertodt, Tempoross, and Zalcanomr1vddemz5q81.png?width=960&crop=smart&a 

     Although #6 isn't available on OSRS yet, here's what some Redditors have been suggesting
     
  7. grants participants a longer window to dump all guardian stones before ending round; fixes the issue of the rift suddenly ending before all players get sufficient time to dump last stones.

All these suggestions seem like very nice QoL. Also, would make it more synonymous to OSRS.

This is already possible.

 

 

 

add a 5 second delay after reaching 100% guardian charge before closing the rift

Dont think this is necessary till the bug with the points are fixed, and you no longer needs to hoard and claim together as a group.

 

 

 

add a feature to gamble extra abyssal needles for abyssal dyes

Neutral with this suggestion as the wiki for osrs does not state you can gamble for other items/rolls/pearls. Just trade in dyes for other color which is already possible.

 

 

 

 

Support the rest of QOL. especially the log count + rl tracker.

Big Support to all besides maybe #8.  Although I wouldn't mind dupe needles being able to be traded for pearls or removed from the drop table entirely assuming you have already gotten one, as on OSRS as if you destroy the abyssal needle you can always use a regular needle on the guardian to get it back (which I assume might need to be implemented on here).

8. not sure I support this one, as the dyes are a rare drop on their own, maybe trade all extras for pearls if you cant already

 

7. what would the 5 sec delay be for? not sure if you can deposit after 100% and I guess just makes it a bit slower

Alan's explanation on #8.  Why I would not recommend exchanging "abyssal needle" for "abyssal pearls"

 

Alora uses OSRS rates then multiplies those rates by 1.23x, but pearl shop prices are kept the same -> this causes an excess of pearls 

 

If you're going for log completion, you will definitely run a surplus of pearls.  If pet is 1/3,250, by the time you hit 2k rolls, there will be nothing for you to spend your pearls on.  You will already have enough pearls for Raiment of the Eye sets, ring of elements, and guardian's the eye–everything in the pearl shop.  Plus, there's no point buying blood talisman when you already have catalytic talismans from the rewards guardian -> So pearls become basically useless.

Here's what 2k rolls got me, and what it will probably get you.

 

 

One way we can make pearls more useful -> incentivize collecting multiple Raiment of the Eye sets (storable in poh) -> how can we do this? -> by giving out more dyes -> how do we do that? -> by allowing players to gamble needles for dyes

 

You got an issue with giving out more dyes?  They're supposed to be a rare drop?

 

Well, they're purely cosmetic, untradeable, and provide 0 benefit alone -> so making them more accessible does little harm -> like coloring blade of saeldor or bofa 

 

Once you've already gotten 1 dye.  You've got all 3 in your log.  You can exchange it at the rewards guardian for any of the other dye colors.  Then talk to the collector to get the log unlock.  

 

In a nutshell, this isn't a situation like cerberus where you need to collect all 3 unique rares to upgrade your boots.  The dyes colors are not unique and can be exchanged any time.

 

OSRS does not allow you to exchange 'abyssal needles' for 'abyssal pearls' + dyes are more of a limiting factor on Alora than pearls + it's completely reasonable for cosmetics/fashionscape to be more accessible on a RSPS -> this is why I suggested #8 allowing abyssal needles to be gambled for dyes.

 

As for #7 @Spudmo 

 

It's easiest to explain this in terms of blast furnace.  The hopper there has a maximum capacity of 28, but you can get around it by dumping 2 inventories of 27.  

 

The same strategy can be utilized in guardian of the rift duos.  If 1-100% is 500 stones in a duo, both players can maximize points by dumping 420 stones each (like 2 inventories of 27).

 

However, in a trio, the math is different.  1-100% is 750 stones in a trio.  If 2 players dumped 420, the game would end.  If player 3 dumps 1 tick late after player 2, player 3's points won't be counted.  @Arosa loves it when this happens.  

 

We can easily fix this by adding that 5 sec delay, so all players get sufficient time to dump.  Does that answer your question, @Spudmo?
