What is your suggestion?:
So I understand that there is a GIM Removal ticket in the ::store but I thought it would be a fair thing to be able to remove GIM members if they don't log in or maybe any other reasons.  It is a feature in OSRS as you can have someone that doesn't get on with the other members, might steal from the shared bank or even just is not active.

For example, my current group has 5 people in but one of them hasn't been active for around a week and no longer logs into Discord.

Even if it isn't automated and we have to put a request through to the staff team for them to remove them if there is a good enough reason. I believe the only way to do it is only allowing new members of the game to join GIM groups, otherwise you don't want people to abuse it and end up with a group of 20 people that just keep rotating.

Is this in OSRS?: Yes. You can leave groups and you can kick people from groups. But only (NEW) ironmen can join current groups.

Has this suggestion been accepted already?: Not that I am aware of.

How would this benefit Alora?: Would make the GIM community happy and in general I believe it is a great way to update and make the GIM experience more entertaining without having to worry as much about people becoming inactive.

i strongly support a time-wise removal option, would make the GIM community more active and aware of their group members!

big support :)

This seems really problematic. Specifically the "only new gims can join groups" cause what this will look like is if you take a break (idk the time period your thinking, maybe 30 days?) which isnt unrealistic for most player, life  happens, then you will be removed from your group and unable to join a new group because of this time limitation. Now your GIM is a 6x rate ironman w/ no ability to rejoin. But I also hate the "GIM is a normie with extra steps" meta so I dont fully not support. I think the best course of action would just be starting a group with people that you trust/are irl friends with if possible and make it to where you cannot leave groups (how the game mode was released originally)

Not unrealistic to go away for a few weeks or a month but you'd think that being in a group they would let at least 1 of the 5 members know they're going away surely?

The game mode was released originally on OSRS with the capability of removing people from the group and adding new people if needed. So that is how it was designed. Just Alora added the extra having to pay $25 to remove someone which OSRS doesn't have.

@GIM JC  When i said "originally released" i meant on alora (which was before osrs), where it launched without the removal feature.

Don’t support this.
You are aware at the beginning that you need to only had people you trust and not 2-3 random..
Also gim removal ticket already exist for those who made that mistake , sad to pay for it but that part of the game

No support.

GIM removal tickets serve as an important barrier that limits free trade between high level GIM groups. Removing the paywall would make gim items cheaper, more obtainable, and devalue the gamemode even more than it already is.

Personally I have 0 swaps left because like others say life happens, I left an inactive group, I became inactive, etc. It really isn't *that* difficult to make 300M for a removal ticket and a strong team member is worth much more than 300M/$25.

It's unfortunate that lower level players have to struggle but it forces you to better your own account independently while you wait, which is the point of IM modes.

No support,

as a comped GIM i don't feel good about only new low lvl GIM to join the party... seems untrusty worthy and you would like players that have the same shit as you... gives a sort of safety net, because they put already a lot of hours in the account and items and would not risking it of losing it or quit after a month.
