What is your suggestion?: I’m suggesting to add higher gravestone timers for all accounts

Is this in OSRS?: yes, before deaths office

Has this suggestion been accepted already?: no

How would this benefit Alora?: players would have more time to go and collect stuff from the floor after death

currently the timer to get get items back is 4 min, I'm suggesting we increase this to increments of 10min, 30min and 1 hr

could be bought with gp and will add a gp sink in game, or maybe with donator rank, although I prefer gp as not all players will have high rank.

I know players may think well, 4 min is long enough and we have teleports to make it easier to get back, however this will help new players as not everyone may know teleports.

Also this will primarily help with disconnections, and GDWS returns as 4 min can be way too fast

Please feel free to leave suggestions and comments. Keep in mind final details are up to Omi.

NO SUPPORT

Like you said there's plenty of teleports that arent in OSRS to get to places super easy, and if they were able to get there via teleport they should know how to get back, plus this is one of the very few item sinks we have in this server, unlike OSRS that has a huge player base and Jagex buying items back from players via the G.E. item sink, this would only make it more impossible for items to be removed from the game. The only thing I'd like to happen is if you die when a instance closes the items would be put outside the room, but even then it gives players some self accountability to be mindful of how much time is left and focusing on not dying or just restarting an instance for this exact reason.

TLDR; self accountability is better than making it almost impossible for players to lose items in the game.

I feel as if you're missing the point. Even though it is easy to get back, what if you DC/ or died in godwars and need 30 KC again?

The amount of people that die AND lose items is low like you said so its not much of an item sink. Therefore this will be helpful to new players/ dc issues and I don't really see any negative effects

either way thank you for the feedback!

Neutral on this.

I see your point of view on new players trying out difficult bosses and losing items due to lag or disconnections.

Paying for a longer timer on your gravestone is something few players are going to do. And if you are new to the game i don't think you are going to do this.

I think death's office would be a great update. Make it the same as OSRS where you can put unwanted item's in to pay for your future deaths. This could also help in the item sink you talk about.

A little skeptical on the 30 minutes to an hour time range. A little much there. Maybe with a little more thought and discussion this could be a nice thing.

Death mechanics are part of the game, removing the risk from dying does nothing but make an easy game even easier. If you die, you should have some risk associated with that death

As GIM Tbow , gim crohn*, said and others as well it's part of game, things happen but we also have all of the means of transportation you could think of. I don't believe there's anywhere you could die in the game in which you could not make it to. I do not consent my support unto this suggestion.

I'm definitely in support of increased gravestone timers! :)

Anything beyond 10 minutes I'm not a fan of though! That would absolutely compromise on the risk associated with dying out on the map...
My reason for wanting to increase it from 4 minutes is... Well...
It's honestly just a bit too brutal for those who have yet to become proficient at Aloras teleportation system...
For example: If you die during your Steel Dragon task in Brimhaven Dungeon... And you choose the Dungeons > Brimhaven Dungeon teleport to get back ...
Well.. you don't have much room for mistakes let's put it that way  God forbid you missed bringing your axe, took the wrong path, didn't notice dying straight away... or have low agility level

4 minutes is a short fuse to be pinned against... It can absolutely stunt ones experience with the game...
I remember losing my bank to this in 2016/17(?) <_< I wasn't happy about it

On one hand, the teleport system makes it extremely easy to get back to most places and collect your items. The 4 minute timer is plenty for most of the places you can possibly die in the game.

On the other hand, those who aren't quite familiar with the teleport system can just as easily make a mistake, miss the 4 minute window, and lose all of the items they had on them. Not to mention things like GWD where you need kill-count (keep in mind that non-donors have a much higher kc requirement than everyone else).

support this suggestion, but I do not support adding a system to buy longer death timers. I would rather have a universal extension of the death timer. I'm thinking something along the lines of 7m30s would be a fair increase without removing too much of the risk factor in dying.
