I think that there's a massive flaw with rule 9 (multi-logging).

 

Taken directly from the ::rules thread, the entire purpose of the rule is to prevent unfair advantages over other players in the game. I get it. That's understandable and I support the rule. However, and correct me if I'm wrong, there doesn't seem to be any rationale behind limiting players to a maximum of 3 connections, specifically if 3 of those accounts aren't even able to interact with each other, by game design.

 

It doesn't make a whole lot of sense that I would be risking a bank wipe or other punishment if I wanted to play a solo 3-man (HC)GIM while bank-standing on my main @ ::dz or edge bank or even playing on that account as well. For clarity, the purpose of doing a 3-man vs. a 2-man group would be to be on the highscores. This is just one example, but there are others as well.

 

I know a lot of people don't play this way and because of that it might not garner a lot of support, but I think I bring up a valid point.

I highly doubt any of the admins are sitting there looking at active connections list all day waiting for someone to log on more than 3 accounts at once to bust you.

 

Now, with that being said you will likely only be caught doing this if reported or explicitly telling people you are which in the end means they reported you.

 

Nobody cares if you're going to be skilling on 5 accounts or 20 accounts at the same time, that isnt what this rule is made for.

Yeah the issue really stands when you’re “abusing” multi logging in a sense of gaining something for example in the wilderness or whatever. Nobody’s going to care if you’re fishing on 15 accounts, I even thought about making my own group iron men and having 2 of them fish for days and then have loads of food while the other 2 do other gathering skills, nothing negative would come from that as far as hurting the economy or the game.

I was given a warning about 2 months ago when I was doing a 3-man solo HCGIM and afk bankstanding on my main  Official warning? idk but a staff member did PM and tell me I needed to stop. I was doing exactly what I mentioned in my initial post too. I stopped but kind of took it as a power trip...

 

In typical afk'er fashion, I ended up dying on the HCGIM not long after. But last night I created another 3-man solo team...30 mins in, I realized I was on 4 accounts and got annoyed remembering that "warning" I got, so I typed up this suggestion/feedback.

Here I was thinking that playing one account at a time was already exhausting and this guy is complaining cause he can't play on four.

We have decided to up the limit on how many accounts a single user can log into at once to 5. Important to note that this still means that you can't use more than 3 accounts at the same activity.
