Updating with a bunch of League changes/fixes, still more to come as well! Just wanted to get these out sooner than later:

[21/3/24] Fixes:

  • League Changes:
    • League Extension:
      • By popular demand, the League has been extended to be 6 weeks instead of 3 weeks — ending on April 26th rather than April 5th.
        • The Tournament, however will still conclude at the scheduled date, which is April 5th at 7pm Eastern time.
        • This gives players more time to earn points, but also means that the final League point transfer will occur a few weeks later than expected.
    • Bonds and Rank tickets can now be transferred to League accounts.
    • Amy has been added near the Hosidius Player-Owned-House entrance, enabling players to obtain Mahogany Homes Contracts from there.
  • League Fixes:
    • The Mimic can now properly be fought.
    • The "Kill lesser demon" and "Kill a dragon" tasks can now be completed.
    • Tithe Farm can now be entered and interacted with by League players, and will not send you to Edgeville upon logging out.
    • The "Enter your Player Owned House" task can now be completed.
    • Achievement requirements:
      • Leagues players can now cast "Bones to Peaches" without requiring completion of the Varrock Medium achievement diary.
      • The "Create 10 Anti-venom potions on Karmja" task will now auto-complete, since you cannot create Anti-venoms this League (need Zulrah’s scales).
    • Hardcore Harvester now stacks with Arcane courier.
      • This means that when obtaining resources (eg. Chopping wood), the extra 2 resources will also be auto-banked.
      • The additional experience from the extra 2 resources is also properly added when these two relics stack.
    • The "Beserker" relic will now apply your max hit to the first hit on any NPC with full HP (guaranteed hit), even when using Ranged or Magic combat styles (previously only worked with Melee).
    • The instanced Forthos Dungeon Spider’s Den and Sarachnis dungeon are now multi-combat.
    • Harvesting a farming patch with Farmer’s Fortune relic will now give you the proper amount of experience for all of the yielded harvest (rather than just experience for one yield).
    • The "Mine some ore with a Rune pickaxe" task has been fixed.
    • Players with the "Arcane Selection" relic will no longer have their fish banked while in Tempoross.
    • Toktz-xil-ak is now a 4-tick weapon instead of a 6-tick weapon.
    • The "Archer’s Embrace" relic will now properly save 90% of ammo.
    • Fixed a bug where the potato cactus check-health task was completable at the Farming guild.
    • Fixed a bug with the "Catch a lucky impling barehanded" task being completable with a butterfly net.
    • Production Prodigy fixes:
      • The crafting boost now works properly for studded leather.
      • The crafting boost now works properly for creating Slayer rings.
    • Players can now open sandworm packs.
    • Sage’s greaves should now go to Untradable reclaim shop if lost on death, and can be rebought for 50k gp.
    • Fixed a bug where TOA raid level would sometimes go negative in the party management interface.
    • The small net fishing spot near lands end will no longer move around.
    • Fixed the "Chop some logs with a steel axe" league task.
  • Misc. Fixes:
    • You can now enter the instanced Forthos dungeon from the entrance to the West as well (rather than just the East).
    • Players can now get calquat tree seeds from seed packs.
    • Attempting to use a jewellery teleport will no longer use a charge unless the player is actually able to teleport.
    • Players can no longer get the baby chinchompa pet from catching birds.
    • Fixed a bug with TOA chests not working properly.
    • Players can now deposit golovanova fruit tops into their bank.
      • They will also no longer become cabbages when logging out.

#481296 Leagues III Feedback

Posted by Omicron on 18 March 2024 - 12:30 PM

Hello everyone,

With the recent release of our third Alora Leagues tournament, we're really excited to hear everyone's feedback about the mode, what they think about it, and how we can improve your experience. We'd like to hear any feedback you have regarding changes that can be made in any and all ways to improve the League. This includes changes to tasks (Ex: reduce 25 Master clue collection log slots to 15), as well as even adding new tasks that would be a fun challenge for players.

We're also looking to hear your feedback about balancing relics that may be underpowered or overpowered. We've expanded this league to include two new regions (Karamja and Desert), and we want the experience to be as enjoyable as possible, so if there is any content in these areas that is missing to improve the game mode (eg. Perhaps Desert Treasure pyramid access?), let us know and we'll implement it given that it can be done within a reasonable time frame.

We are also open to the idea of extending the League game mode access for longer, so let us know if that is something you'd be interested, and how long you'd like the League to last for. We would still very likely end the tournament on April 5th (since we have already made a commitment to doing so), but the game mode itself can potentially remain accessible for longer if a majority of players are interested in continuing to play. The only thing to keep in mind is that League point transfers occur at the very end of the League, so the further we extend it, the longer it takes for all players to access their points.

We hope you're enjoying our third Leagues iteration, and we're looking forward to hearing your feedback!

Best Regards,
Omicron

  • What can I do with points?
    • At the end of the tournament, points will be transferred to your main account and then they can be spent in the Leagues Reward Shop. This shop includes all of the Trailblazer Reloaded rewards from OSRS (and previous League rewards), including:
      • Leagues Trophies
      • Trailblazer Reloaded Banner
      • Trailblazer Reloaded Relic Hunter Sets

      • Trailblazer Reloaded Death Scroll
      • Trailblazer Reloaded Rejuventation Pool Scroll
      • Trailblazer Reloaded Vengeance Scroll
  • How can I see who has the most points?
    • There is a Scoreboard right at the League player spawn point in Kourend, which will list the top 30 players based on points.
  • What is the experience rate?
    • The experience rate is 8x, but increases to 12x once you have selected your tier 4 relic.
      • There are also numerous relics that will effective double your experience in certain skills, so you can get up to 24x potentially if you choose the right relic.
  • Can I trade other players?
    • Trading is disabled. You can not trade players at all (or pick up their items), and if you die nobody can loot your items.
      • Drop-trading to main accounts is also not allowed, and items will simply disappear off of the ground if you attempt to do so.
        • This is due to the increased drop rate on League accounts.
  • Can I go to Edgeville/Wilderness/Etc?
    • League players are locked to Zeah initially, but can unlock Karamja region at Tier 3 and Desert region at Tier 5. If you are able to escape these areas, you will simply be teleported back home.
  • Do I start at level 3?
    • Yes, you will start on a fresh level 3 account and select the option to sign up for Leagues in the tutorial.
      • You will start with level 3 Herblore and level 15 Agility, but all other stats are level 1.
  • Will I see other non-league players?
    • You will see normal players as well, but we have instanced a few key dungeons to allow for more space to train. We want to allow players to interact on the same world without splitting the player base.
  • Where can I bank?
    • There are numerous banking locations in Zeah, but the most important one will be upstairs in Kourend castle, right next to your home teleport.
  • Can I train construction?
    • Certainly! You can purchase a house from the Estate agent south of the Kourend Castle for a reduced rate of 2.5m coins (usually 10m).
    • You can even do Mahogany Homes contracts from Angelo, right next to the Estate Agent.
  • Can I train Slayer?
    • You can train Slayer via Konar, who will allow you to start far earlier than normal accounts (only requires level 5 combat). You will only received tasks that are in Kourend & Kebos.
  • Can I donate for items?
    • League players cannot donate for items in the store.
  • Can I donate for rank?
    • You may donate to obtain rank benefits, but this is capped at Extreme donator. After this tier, you will no longer obtain the higher rank benefits (eg. Legendary and onwards) to reduce the advantage that donator ranks give. All donator ranks will be auto-transferred to your main account (which you link when you first create your League account) at the end of the tournament.
  • Can I transfer bonds or boosters to my account?
    • You cannot transfer bonds, vote books or boosters to your account.
  • Can I use a booster on my account?
    • No, boosters have been disabled on League accounts.
  • Can vote books be used on League accounts?
    • You can open vote books on League accounts, but the bonus experience rates are reduced to 25% instead of 50%. The 5% Raids bonus still applies, as does the Slayer point bonus.
    • You must claim the auth directly on the League account, as you cannot transfer vote books from your main.
  • Will the Well of Goodwill and other XP boosts work on League accounts?
    • Most experience boosts are disabled for League players, including the Well of Goodwill, Skill of the Day, and other event experience bonuses.
  • What happens to my account at the end of the tournament?
    • Your account becomes locked, and you will be kicked out of the game within a few seconds after you log in. Essentially, the account is wiped and can no longer be played on. Your points and donator rank are immediately transferred to your main account.
  • When can I spend my points?
    • Points can be spent at the end of the tournament, at 7pm Eastern Time on April 5th, 2024.

          • 3 minute cooldown between uses, which is removed when the player actually dies.
          • Dying with the effect active will not count towards death penalties in raids.
        • Executioner
          • Players are given the Sage's axe, which allows them to instantly kill targets who have less than 15% of their HP remaining.
          • The axe's attack range is 5 tiles (7 tiles on longrange).

We've also release some bug fixes / QoL updates along with the Leagues launch:

  • Blackjacking:
    • Players can now blackjack certain npc’s in Pollnivneach.
      • The following npc’s can be blackjacked:
        • Villagers:
          • Pickpocketing villagers while knocked out will provide no thieving experience/coins.
        • Bandits (bearded):
          • These bandits require level 45 thieving to pickpocket, and will provide 65 thieving experience, and 375-425 coins for doing so.
        • Bandits (no beard):
          • These bandits require level 55 thieving to pickpocket, and will provide 84 thieving experience, and 475-525 coins for doing so.
        • Menaphite thugs:
          • These thugs require level 65 thieving to pickpocket, and will provide 138 thieving experience, and 575-625 coins for doing so.
      • A knocked out npc will remain knocked out for 4 game ticks, allowing players to pickpocket them twice in this time, and then quickly knock them out again, and repeat the process.
    • To knock out an NPC, they must be out of line of sight from any nearby npc’s, so players will need to lure these npc’s to an area where no other npc’s can see them, where they can then knock them out.
      • Knocked out npc’s cannot be attacked.
      • This process may fail, in which case the player will take some damage for being caught.
        • The rate of success is based on the following equation:
          • SuccessPercentage = 31 + ((thievingLevel-1)*0.64)
            • So for example, at level 99, players will have a 93.75% chance of success, while at 45 they will only have a 59.16% chance of success.
    • Players must have a blackjack equipped to knock out an npc.
      • Blackjacks can be purchased from the general store in Pollnivneach.
  • Player-owned house locations:
    • Players can now speak to the estate agent to move their house location for a small fee.
      • Players can move their house to Edgeville, Hosidius, Rimmington, Taverley, Brimhaven, Pollnivneach, Yanille, Relleka, or Prifddinas.
  • Quality of Life:
    • The hardwood grove quick pay option now properly works.
    • The key remapping plugin now supports an option to set a key to toggle the chatbox visibility on resizeable.
    • Players must now have their protect from magic prayer up on the same tick Ket-Zek/Jal-Zek’s magic projectile hits them.
    • The “Check” option on the magic skullcaps will now let players know how many spellbook swaps they have left.
    • Ancient wyverns have had their respawn time reduced to 9 seconds.
    • Players can now select a 15% tithe farm/giants foundry point/reputation bonus from vote books.
    • Players can now obtain brimstone keys from boss tasks given by Konar.
    • The volume of the lowest 2 notches for sound effects has been reduced, so that they are a bit quieter.
    • Players can now cast bloom using the blisterwood flail.
    • The Amulet of the eye/lost bag have been added to the Guardians of the rift collection log tab.
      • Players can use these items or their variants to fill the log slots by speaking to the Collector with the items in their inventory.
    • The Warped sceptre has been added to the Miscellaneous collection log.
  • Bug Fixes:
    • Granite boots now have the correct defensive stats.
    • Fixed a bug with the quest icon being too large when using the 2008 gameframe.
    • Fixed a bug with the positioning of some gloves while wearing the torva platebody on 2010 mode.
    • Players can no longer move while chiseling dense essence.
    • Fixed a bug where karambwans could not be used as combo food.

    • Fixed a bug where players could cross the stepping stone in the scabaras puzzle room before completing the first two puzzles.
    • The house advertisement objects near other house portals now work correctly.
    • Fixed a bug where thralls would get stuck in a wall in some cases.
    • Players will now be unfrozen when teleporting out of the nightmare battle while caught by the husks.
    • The wiki lookup functionality now works in the bank.
    • There is now a short cooldown players must wait before performing another emote.
    • Players can no longer attack the thermonuclear smoke devil while on a dust devil task.
    • Fixed a bug where the drop searcher would show boosted pet drop rates when players were using a drop booster, but not a pet booster.
      • This was only a visual bug, and the actual drop mechanics were working correctly.
    • Jewelled crabs no longer trigger vengeance.
    • Fixed a bug where the Bellator ring's bonuses were incorrect.
    • Players will no longer be able to select other tabs when the tears of guthix/bank interface are open.
    • The trident of the swamp (e) now properly inflicts venom.
    • Fixed a bug where players could carry over liquid adrenaline/smelling salt boosts to their next Tombs of Amascut run.
    • Fixed a bug where players could get extra ranged strength when using the blowpipe by equipping bone bolts.
    • Awakened Desert treasure II bosses no longer count towards the slayer tasks.
    • Player's spellbooks will no longer change when entering the Gauntlet.
    • Fixed a bug where the incorrect tier of the combat achievements was being announced as completed sometimes.
    • Fixed a bug where the Lovada npc had been changed to an npc named "Noah".
    • Phantom muspah's shockwave attack will no longer deal damage if it is dead/dying.
    • Fixed a bug where the magic shortbow special attack would provide experience drops even if it hit 2 zeroes.
    • Fixed a bug where the escape crystal's auto-escape feature would not work above level 20 wilderness.
    • Fixed a bug where players could smuggle a previewed skin color from the vote shop.
      • This bug only showed the skin color for the player who smuggled the skin color.
    • Fixed a bug where the scroll of redirection prifddinas option was not working correctly.
    • Fixed a bug where larger npc's would not draw if they were on the same tiles.
      • This would lead to issues like the one experience at Vardorvis, where if an axe was flying through vardorvis, it would momentarily disappear.
    • Fixed a bug where Vardorvis would sometimes not be clickable while the axes where on top of It.
    • Fixed a bug that would cause extra GP in the Well of Goodwill to be wiped in certain cases:
      • If you donate an item to the well worth 300m, it would run the well twice, back to back. (Normal functionality)
      • If you donate an item worth 250m to the well, it would run the well once, and then the extra GP would get wiped (rather than keeping 100m towards the 150m). This will no longer occur, and the well will remember how much excess GP was in it previously.
    • Awakener's orbs can now be noted.
    • Fixed a bug where leaving the Zalcano area would sometimes keep the hint icon active.
    • Fixed a bug where the tears of guthix interface wouldn't be removed after collecting tears on mobile.
    • Players will now have their leftover coins returned to them when converting all of their gold to platinum tokens.
    • Fixed a bug where Jal-Imkot would not burrow to get to a player during the Inferno if they were up against the edge of the arena.
    • Fixed a typo when cooking/burning karambwans.
    • Fixed a bug where the scythe of vitur could kill gargoyles without requiring a rock hammer.
    • Leaving/failing the fight caves/inferno while on a slayer task will now reduce the killcount by 1, rather than fail the entire task.
    • Fixed a bug where in rare circumstances, vardorvis' axes could still deal damage after he has died.
    • Fixed a pathing bug with the broken wall at the barbarian agility course.
    • Fixed a bug where the ancient sceptre was not properly increasing the bind time of the ancient ice spells.
    • Duke Sucellus' supply drops will now drop super combat potions instead of ranging potions.
    • Fixed a typo with the slayer master adding two periods to the end of a new task assignment.
    • Fixed a bug where the slayer cape task repeat perk was not working correctly.
    • Fixed a bug where thralls would get stuck behind the pillars during the fight against Duke sucellus.
    • Desert treasure II bosses are no immune to poison/venom.
    • Fixed a bug where the Whisperer would not spawn a middle (40 hp) health column in extremely rare cases.
    • Fixed a bug where the dragon med helm sell price was incorrect.
    • Fixed a bug where players would get a message indicating their inventory was full when chopping kindling, even though they had kindling in their inventory.

#480517 Alora Leagues 3.0 (Launching March 15th) - IRL & In-game Prizes!

Alora League 3.0 Information

Hello everyone,

Another league event is on the horizon! We're excited to announce that we're hosting our 3rd Alora League in just a few days! This League event introduces two new regions, Karamja & the Desert, and brings with it all-new in-game rewards. If you did not participate in either of the previous Leagues, here's the rundown:

On March 15th at 7pm Eastern Time, starting on fresh accounts that are locked to Zeah (with Desert and Karamja now unlockable), you'll be able to complete tasks and collect points. The players who have accumulated the most points by the end of the tournament will be awarded with some juicy prizes, including a PlayStation 5 for the top prize! There are also many other token prizes that can be won for the first players to accomplish certain tasks, such as obtaining Ranger boots. At the end of the tournament, players can spend their points on new, unique items from the Leagues reward shop.

Start date: March 15th, 7pm EST (Midnight server time)
End date: April 5th, 7pm EST (Midnight server time)

How does it work?
On March 15th, you'll be able to create a fresh account to participate in Leagues. This account will be wiped on April 5th and no items can be transferred off of it to a normal account, due to the increased drop rates on this game mode and other perks. Certain areas will be instanced, such as the Kourend Catacombs, to allow players to have a bit more space to train and compete. We are also instancing bosses such as Sarachnis to prevent overcrowding. While donator ranks do apply on these accounts, due to the account being permanently locked at the end of the tournament, at that point you will need to put in a request to transfer the total spent to one of your main Alora accounts -- no minimum amount applies on these transfers and the lowest donation rank can be transferred.

Top Alora cash prizes:

  • PlayStation 5
  • AirPods Pro
  • Logitech G935 Gaming Headset
  • Logitech G502 Gaming Mouse

Top Alora Token prizes:

  • First Twisted bow: 1,000 tokens
  • First Tumeken's shadow: 1,000 tokens
  • First to obtain Infernal cape: 1,000 tokens
  • First to 200m exp in any skill: 1,000 tokens
  • First 1,000-level Tombs of Amascut completion: 750 tokens
  • First to obtain a Phoenix pet from Wintertodt: 750 tokens
  • First to obtain a Tempoross pet: 750 tokens
  • First to obtain any boss pet: 750 tokens
  • First to obtain any 3rd age piece: 750 tokens
  • First to complete a Master difficulty task: 500 tokens
  • First to complete a collection log entry: 250 tokens

Even if you don't receive one of the big cash prizes, there are plenty of reasons to play leagues! If you're feeling lucky, try your hand at a specific token prize, such as obtaining a Phoenix pet. You'll also have the ability to spend your points on many different in-game prizes at the end of the tournament, including previous League rewards and new alike, such as:

  • Leagues Trophies
  • Trailblazer Reloaded Banner
  • Trailblazer Reloaded Relic Hunter Sets
  • Trailblazer Reloaded Ornament Kits for the following items:
    • Blowpipe
    • Dinh's Bulwark
  • Trailblazer Reloaded Home Teleport Scroll
  • Trailblazer Reloaded Alchemy Scroll
  • Trailblazer Reloaded Death Scroll
  • Trailblazer Reloaded Rejuventation Pool Scroll
  • Trailblazer Reloaded Vengeance Scroll

Notes:

  • The rules and prizes are subject to change based on availability.
  • If a cash prize is unavailable in your country, an equivalent prize or amount via PayPal may be substituted.
  • Winners of cash prizes can choose to receive Alora tokens and can receive 50% more by doing so.

We'll have more detailed information of this tournament on release day, but this thread should give you a basic outline of what's to come. We hope you guys are just as excited for the start of our third Alora League!

#480191 March Vote Competition[March 1st - March 21st]

Posted by Omicron on 01 March 2024 - 11:01 AM

Hey everyone, I would once again like to announce the Vote Competition for the month of March. Your votes will begin being counted on March 1st, 12 am GMT, so be ready, because every vote counts!

What will the rewards be?
The top 5 voters will receive the following rewards in order of highest(#1) to lowest(#5) ranked voters, and the rewards will be as follows:
1st - 1
x $100 Bond

2nd - 1 x $50 Bond

3rd - 3 x $10 Bond
4th - 2 x $10 Bond
5th - 1 x $10 Bond

FAQ
Q:
What constitutes a "vote"?
A: Everytime a player votes and receives an auth, this will count as a vote, and player with the most votes wins!

Q: How do I vote?
A: You must simply follow this link http://www.alora.io/vote/ to the vote page, click and vote on all of the links, and then use the auth you get at the vote manager in-game to claim your vote book!

Q: When will the winners be declared?
A: The winners of the competition will be declared after the 21st of March (1-5 days after)!

We hope to spark a bit of healthy competition and get more players voting to help get Alora's name out there a bit more so that we can continue to grow in the future!

IMPORTANT: Ironmen, Realism, Hardcore Ironmen, and Ultimate Ironmen will not be able to claim the rewards DIRECTLY onto their accounts unless they are cosmetic, however they may claim the items onto an alternate account that is not an Ironman.

Additional Note: The vote competition is structured in such a way that any player with 30 or more votes will be entered into a random draw, where one will be chosen as the winner, giving multiple players a fair chance to win.

#479845 Farming Snape Grass

Posted by Omicron on 23 February 2024 - 11:58 AM

@ Throwed This is not exactly the issue that it's made out to be. While players do get more snape grass on OSRS, it also requires 3 seeds per allotment rather than the 1 seed on Alora, which is why it's like that. I can make the yield higher but require that players plant 3 seeds instead, which I feel would be a more appropriate balancing change, since players will get more utility per allotmetn.

#479350 Rogues Equipment

Posted by Omicron on 12 February 2024 - 06:22 PM

The set intentionally gives a reduced chance at getting double gold (instead of the guaranteed amount on OSRS), this is mostly because we give a much larger amount of gold than they do, and a change such as this would bring a lot more gp into the economy.

Hello everyone,

Desert Treasure II is finally here! We took a bit more time than anticipated to iron out bugs, as the four new bosses are some of the most complex that we’ve coded for Alora. Nevertheless, we’re certain you’re in for quite a challenge with this update, but a good challenge doesn’t come without a good reward — and we’ve got many for you! Whether it’s the juicy Blood Torva ornament kit, the Virtus robes, the Soulreaper axe or one of the new rings, you’ll have plenty to choose from to fill that collection log. Speaking of collection logs, we’ve added a Collection Log section to our hiscores which will slowly start to populate as players log in, make sure to check it out to see how you stack up!

In other news, our next update will include Mobile RuneLite plugins, and we’ve got some very exciting updates coming soon after that which we’ll outline in a dev blog in the near future :)

  • Desert Treasure II:
    • Quest:
      • In order to begin the quest, you must meet the following requirements:
        • 75 Firemaking, 75 Magic, 70 Thieving, 62 Herblore, 60 Runecraft, 60 Construction
        • Completion of Desert Treasure
      • You may begin the quest by speaking to Asgarnia Smith, who is located just south of the Duel Arena’s teleport location.
        • Asgarnia will tell you about a newly uncovered treasure that he is in pursuit of, and if you meet the requirements, he’ll recruit you to help him on his expedition.
    • Once players have completed the Desert Treasure II quest, they can access 4 new bosses.
      • Players can get to these new bosses by accessing a teleport through the teleport wizard menu.
        • These teleports will take players a short walk away from the new bosses.
          • Players can teleport even closer to these new bosses by using the Ring of shadows teleports, though these must first be unlocked.
      • Vardorvis:
        • Players can begin the fight by attacking Vardorvis while standing within the area enclosed by the pillars.
          • The fight will not begin unless the player is in this area, and their damage will always be 0.
        • Vardorvis uses melee as his primary attack, and using Protect from melee will reduce this damage by 75%.
        • Special Attacks:
          • Axes:
            • Vardorvis will regularly spawn 1-3 swinging axes that fly across the arena, which hit players if they are in the 3x3 area of the axe.
              • If hit by an axe, the player will take damage, and be inflicted with a bleed effect that hits them for 3 damage every few ticks, lasting for a few seconds.
          • Head Gaze:
            • A head will appear from out of the ground near Vardorvis, and launch a projectile at the player which will disable their protection prayers temporarily if the player does not correctly pray against the incoming projectile.
          • Strangle (CAPTCHA):
            • Vardorvis will strangle the player, and the player must click all of the vessels that appear on their screen before the time runs out, otherwise they will take damage.
          • Darting Spikes:
            • Vardorvis will dart around 1-3 times, summoning spikes near/on the player which will deal damage if the player is standing on the tile they rise out of.
      • Duke Sucellus:
        • This fight begins with the Duke asleep, and he must be awakened by creating a poison and using a few vials on him (2 for the regular form, 3 when awakened).
          • Players can collect Arder/Musca mushrooms on the platforms on either side of the duke, and the Salax salt can be mined at the rocks near the centre of the arena.
            • One of each of these 3 components will be needed to make a potion.
              • Once the components are acquired, players must grind the arder/musca mushrooms into powder, and put the components in the nearby fermentation vats to create the poison, which can then be used on the duke.
          • To the left and right of the asylum upon entering it, there is a pestle and mortar and iron pickaxe on the walls that players can take.
        • Once Duke Sucellus has been awakened, he will begin to attack the player using either a magic or melee attack, occasionally using one of his two special attacks.
          • Freezing Gaze:
            • Every fifth auto-attack, he focuses his gaze on the player, which will deal up to 95 damage if the player is not behind a pillar after a few seconds.
          • Gas Flare: The Duke will launch a gas flare from his mouth to a vent near the player, leaving a plume of poison gas there fore a few seconds. This is the same gas that players encounter at the beginning of the fight.
            • As he gets weaker, he will  begin to launch more than one flare at a time.
      • The Whisperer:
        • Players must have a Blackstone fragment in their inventory to fight the whisperer, as this will give them access to the shadow realm.
        • Players will begin this fight with 100% sanity, which will drain for various reasons throughout the fight, and if their sanity drains to 0%, they will go insane, causing them to take damage every few ticks, which continually increases.
          • Being in the shadow realm, and being hit by certain attacks will drain sanity.
          • Being in the normal realm (except for during the awakened fight) will slowly recover sanity.
            • Players may also regain sanity in some cases from certain special attacks.
        • The Whisperer’s auto attack fires 3 range/mage projectiles, and then summons tentacles around the player which will damage them and drain their sanity by 20% if the player is hit by their shockwave.
        • Special attacks:
          • Shadow Leeches:
            • The Whisperer teleports to the centre of the arena and summons corrupted seeds around her. Players must step on all of the light green seeds to stop the attack.
              • The seeds will all appear the same in the normal realm, so players must use the Blackstone fragment to enter the shadow realm to see the real seed colours.
                • If all seeds are stepped on, players will regain 15% of their Sanity, otherwise they will lose sanity and take damage.
          • Soul siphon:
            • The Whisperer will summon souls around her, which players will need to kill to disrupt her chant.
              • The souls will all appear to be the same in the normal realm, so players will need to enter the shadow realm to see the true nature of the souls.
              • Players must kill all of a specific type of soul to disrupt a specific word  in her chant.
            • Her chant has 4 specific words, “Vita!”, “Oratio!”, “Sanitas!”, “Mors!”, and disrupting each word will provide the player with a specific benefit.
              • If no words are disturbed, the player will take huge damage and lose a lot of sanity.
          • Screech:
            • The Whisperer will teleport to the back of the arena and summon pillars in front of her which the player must hide behind to avoid her screech.
              • Each screech will deal 20 damage to the pillars, and will instantly destroy the pillar that the player is standing behind.
                • The pillars will have different health, which can only be seen in the shadow realm, so players must decide which order to stand behind the pillars in to survive the screeches.
      • The Leviathan:
        • The Leviathan is a giant sea serpent which resides in The Scar; players can begin this fight by boarding a small boat that is in the scar.
        • The Leviathan’s standard form has 900 hitpoints, and can only be attacked with range/mage.
          • The leviathan uses rapid auto attacks of all 3 styles, which can be fully protected using the correct prayer.
            • The leviathan also has 2 special attacks:
              • Lightning Barrage:
                • The leviathan will track the player and send barrages of lightning towards them, dealing massive damage if not dodged.
              • Smoke Blast:
                • The leviathan will fire debris at the player which does not disappear until after the fight; if players are hit by the debris, they will be knocked back and take damage.
                  • After it fires the debris, then it will send a smoke blast throughout the entire arena, which can only be avoided by taking cover behind the debris.
          • The Leviathan takes 33% less damage while using it’s special attacks.
          • Special attacks are triggered by using a shadow spell on the Leviathan to stun it, and then hitting it in its weak spot, which is located on its back.
      • Enrage Mechanic:
        • Upon reaching a certain hitpoint threshold (20-30% hitpoints), the boss will become enraged, making the fight quite a bit more difficult.
      • Each of these bosses drops awakener’s orbs, which can be used to fight the awakened form of these bosses, which provides a much more difficult version of the fight.
        • The awakened bosses will be disabled for now, to give players time to get accustomed to the bosses, and make sure that everything works exactly as we expect.
      • There are no penalties for dying during these boss fights.
        • Players will be teleported to edgeville upon dying, but no items will be lost.
      • Improved common drop table:
        • Each of these bosses has an improved common loot table, which provides an increase in the amount of loot dropped from the non-unique drop tables.
          • To access this table, players must defeat the bosses perfectly, that is, they take no unavoidable damage throughout the fight.
    • Uniques:
      • Ancient Blood Ornament Kit:
        • This kit will be dropped when players have defeat each of the awakened boss variants at least once.
          • After killing the last of the 4 bosses, the kit will drop for the player.
            • This ornament kit can be used to modify Torva equipment to become Blood Torva.
              • The kit is re-usable, so will not be consumed when used, however if players do lose it, they will have to kill one of the 4 awakened bosses again to re-obtain it.
      • Virtus Robes:
        • These robes require level 78 magic and 75 defence to equip, and can be obtained from all 4 of the bosses.
          • Each piece provides a 1% magic damage bonus, which is boosted to 4% if the player is casting an ancient magicks spell.
      • Soulreaper Axe:
        • This Axe is a 2-handed weapon which requires level 80 attack and strength to equip.
          • To create it, players must combine 4 unique components, each obtained from one of the bosses, along with 2,000 blood runes.
          • The axe has a special effect, which damages the wielder for 8 hitpoints whenever they attack, giving them a “soul stack” for each hit, capping at 5 soul stacks, after which hitpoints will not be drained for subsequent attacks.
            • Each soul stack provides a 6% boost to their strength level.
              • If the player does not attack for 10 ticks, they will lose a soul stack, and unequipping the axe will remove all the soul stacks.
          • Special attack:
            • This special attack will increase the player’s accuracy/strength by 6%, and heal them for 8 hitpoints, for each soul stack they have.
              • Players will have the hitpoints restored regardless of if the hit is successful or not.
      • Ring upgrades:
        • Players will be able to use drops from each of the new bosses to upgrade a specific Dagannoth king ring.
          • While the rings are tradable, you must have killed the boss associated with the ring at least once to be able to wear it (Eg. Bellator ring, must kill The Whisperer once).
        • To create the new rings, players will first need to turn the original Dagannoth king rings into icons, which can be done by using a chisel on the ring (cannot be imbued).
          • Players can then use the unique vestige, along with 500 blood runes, on the icon to combine them.
            • The new icon can then be brought to a furnace, alongside three chromium ingots, and a ring mould, to craft the new ring.
              • The entire process requires level 90 magic and 80 crafting, which can be boosted.
              • Chromium ingots are rare drops that are dropped by all four of the new bosses.
        • Venator ring:
          • This ring is an upgrade to the Archer’s ring; the vestige for the upgrade is dropped by The Leviathan.
        • Magus ring:
          • This ring is an upgrade to the Seers’ ring; the vestige for the upgrade is dropped by Duke Sucellus.
        • Belator ring:
          • This ring is an upgrade to the Warrior ring; the vestige for the upgrade is dropped by The Whisperer.
        • Ultor ring:
          • This ring is an upgrade to the Berserker ring; the vestige for the upgrade is dropped by Vardorvis.
        • These vestiges have a unique drop mechanic, which works as follows:
          • To receive any given vestige, the player must roll an invisible drop on the tradeable unique table. The first two rolls will cause a standard, non-unique drop to appear and increment a hidden variable; when the third such roll occurs, the vestige is dropped and the variable is reset.
      • Quartz:
        • Each boss drops a specific type of quartz, which can be used to upgrade the ancient sceptre.
          • There are 4 types of quartz that can be used:
            • Blood Quartz
            • Shadow Quartz
            • Smoke Quartz
            • Ice Quartz
          • Players can also use these quartz to open a chest within the ancient vault, which can be accessed by using the teleport on the ring of shadows.
      • Tablets:
        • Each boss drops a type of tablet, which can be used on the Ring of shadows to unlock a teleport that will take the player very close to the boss entrance.
  • Collection Log Hiscores:
    • The Hiscores have been updated to include an option to view the total number of items in one’s collection log!
      • You can now compare how many items you’ve logged and how you stack up against others in your game mode.
      • NOTE: This will only update for players who have recently logged in, so you’ll have to log in at least once after this update for it to start tracking the number of items in your collection log.
  • Jiminua’s Jungle Store and Karamja General Store:
    • Players can now buy/sell items from Jiminua on Karamja, as well as the Karamja general store.
      • These stores work similar to most other general stores, with the exception that players who have the Karamja gloves 3/4 equipped will be able to sell their items to them for high alch price, rather than low alch price.
  • Poison Waste:
    • Players can now access the dungeon in the Poison Waste.
      • This dungeon contains many Warped Tortoise and Warped Terrorbird spawns.
        • These creatures require 56 slayer to fight.
      • A notable drop from the creatures in this dungeon is the Warped Sceptre, a mid-game staff with a built in spell, similar to a trident, but not quite as strong.
        • This sceptre is charged with 2 chaos runes and 5 earth runes per cast, and requires level 62 magic to equip.
          • The max hit of this staff is calculated as follows:
            • Max = (magicLvl * 8 + 96)/37
    • Players can access this area by taking a spirit tree to the poison waste location, and entering the nearby sewer.
