Hello everyone,
We realize that there's been a lack of information regarding updates recently, and that we've taken a bit longer than usual on the most recent update. This is because we have some huge ongoing projects in the pipeline, and today we're excited to share some of them with you! For the past few weeks/months, we've been working on multiple projects, including the GPU plugin, the World Map, the new OSRS interface that includes spellbook filtering and other features, Theatre of Blood hard mode and much more. We're hoping to bring all of these changes to the live server soon, and we're working extremely hard to make sure that happens!
World Map
Players can expect to see this come within the next week or two, and we're heavily focusing on finishing this project at the moment.
GPU Plugin
This is one of our more long term projects which we've been working on for a few months, however we hope to bring it to Alora sometime this summer.
Spellbook Filtering
Along with (hopefully) the World Map, players can expect this in the coming weeks!
Some extensive work was required to bring some of these newer OSRS interfaces to Alora, but the good news is that the time we've invested in adding support for OSRS interfaces will allow us to easily import interfaces whenever they update without spending time to remake them. Previously, any interface that we wanted to add would need to be hand built by us, which is a very time consuming process in most cases. Adding this support to the client means that we can easily use any of OSRS's interfaces, past or present, which should make a lot more content possible and within an easier reach. We're happy to say this also opens up the possibility for the Clans update, which included many new and complex interfaces (however this isn't in our scope yet).
Theatre of Blood - Hard Mode
Recently released on OSRS, we've been working on bringing the ToB Hard Mode to Alora! With all the new rewards, and a new challenge, we're sure that those of you who are into raiding will love this update. This should be released within the next couple of weeks if all goes well.
We hope you've enjoyed this development blog, and we look forward to bringing this updates to Alora very shortly.
Best,
Omicron & Chad

Collection Log NPC
This is a simple NPC to update the collection log for users who received an item/pet before the log came out, and instead of needing to go and repeat a grind what ever it may be they simply use the said item/pet on the NPC and it updates their collection log.
This will be specifically for untradeable items to avoid the ability to trade/buy from other players to update your own log without achieving it yourself.
List of Suggested items:
This list is comprised of items looked over Alora's Collection log for example, i may or may not be 100% accurate but this suggestion would probably make it easier for those that work towards filling their collection log and have achieved some items prior to the log being updated. This can also work towards the future when updates are released and the collection log isn't updated right away but a player receives that item in the first few weeks before the developers get around to having it activate, they can come a later time and use this NPC to update their log on untradeable items

Hello everyone,
This update is just a small clarification to the previous accuracy rework. A few days ago, we significantly boosted the accuracy over the original OSRS formula according to player feedback (without a server reboot). Since adjusting this, we haven't heard too many complaints, but we've worked out a precise formula and a way to check what your accuracy is (while in combat) and be able to compare it directly with what it would be in OSRS. We hope that this information will help players to better understand accuracy with different weapons, and the advantage that they have on Alora as compared to OSRS. In most cases, as players have already noticed, it will be more difficult to hit monsters if you're not using the correct style.
With that being said, we feel that we've given purpose to many neglected weapons, and using different styles on certain bosses (including popular ones, such as Zulrah) now actually matters, which is something that we think will benefit the game longterm and provide a more interesting gameplay for our community. Still, we've given a significant boost to the original OSRS accuracy, and we've made that transparent with the ;;maxhit command. Here's a table to show an approximation of what you can expect from the new accuracy formula:
Of course, the easiest way to see the difference is to type ;;maxhit while in combat with an NPC. You can also then see what weapons provide higher accuracy, and how much of an effect different potions & prayers have on your accuracy. One thing to keep in mind is that at the moment, your special attack accuracy boost is not factored into the ;;maxhit command. Certain special attacks, such as the Armadyl godsword, provide a huge accuracy boost (Double accuracy for the AGS), so you will have to take that into account manually for the time being. A few examples of this command printing out your accuracy depending on your combat style:
For those of you who are interested in the nitty-gritty of it, we start with the exact OSRS accuracy formula (tested against multiple online calculators/sources) and we perform the following modifications on your chance to hit:
Hopefully this thread was able to shed some light on the new changes, and also to provide some accurate in-game information to help you set up your loadout when PvMing.
Regards,
Omicron & Chad

I wasn't going to make one of these, but I've been MIA for a while now so I think I owe it to this lovely community. I've been going through a lot IRL recently, and on top of this I do not really have a passion for RS at the moment. I just wanted to thank each and every one of you for making my experience that much more enjoyable. Thank you to everyone who has added value to Alora through their presence, and a special thank you to our staff team who work very hard in keeping everything a float. Also I want to thank all our previous staff members for all the effort and time they have put in as well, as I've worked alongside a lot of you. I also want to apologize to anyone I may have upset/wronged, and I hope that you can forgive me. It was a real pleasure, and I hope that Alora continues to thrive! Thank you to our lovely developers Chad & Dan who work day and night on improving our lovely home known as Alora. Most of all, thank you to @
Take care everyone, and best of luck!
