Okay, so this is a really simple idea that I don't think needs a lot of explaining.

 

Possibility of a "thread" NPC, possibly called 'Fred'?

 

What Fred does is open an interface in game that has links to guides, one section for iron man, one section for normal guides, one section for mini-game guides, one section for boss guides and one section for miscellaneous in game guides

 

So under "Normal Guides" you'll be able to click on something like 'Runecrafting guide by F 8 - 2512'  This will take you to his runecrafting guide.

 

 

The idea for this is because Im always seeing people posting asking for thread numbers. I feel like this will stop the hassle of people asking and will increase productivity.

Someone pointed out that some players would be just too damn lazy, theres also the fact that some players might not find the thread theyre looking for on the ingame repository.

 

For this i suggest that there may be a "custom" tab where you add your own thread ID's.

Support, Fred sounds like a cool npc to have and that's a quick way to get guides. But, imo. No matter what, people will be asking for threads because they're lazy, even if we had the npc. Yeah it would stop some from asking but some not. That's just my thought on it.

If the time is spent into this we also mine as well add other links to it and just not guides. Could be a very useful NPC.

Yes it helps, I supported the topic. I agree that having this npc would be good idea. All I was saying is that you sometimes get those people who are lazy and will still ask for topics. Nothing wrong with that. I was just stating my opinion.

I understand, but some players might ask "thread id for so and so?"  then they might learn that 'fred' exists.

 

On the other hand they could also have an option for you to add your own custom thread ID's for your own quicklinks too

Very helpful indeed, good idea. Although there's already::support or ::guides, ::events and stuff but could be a nice feature.
