[06/09/25] Bug Fixes: Many messages in the totem fletching minigame have been categorized as spam. The gemstone crab is now immune to venom/poison. Fixed a bug where the loot key interface was not working properly. Fixed a bug where Ent trails were not working properly. Fixed a bug where players could activate prayers even if they were out of prayer points. The gemstone crab now has a killcount tracker. This will only track kills for players who were eligible to mine the loot. Hello everyone, Today’s update is primarily focused the large expansion to Varlamore, which includes a new mini-game (Auburnvale Totem Fletching), new dungeons & caverns (with new slayer monsters & rewards), and the new Gemstone crab boss ("AFK" training method). In addition to this, we've also made improvements to server performance for EU players, and have added many quality of life changes and bug fixes. There's plenty to explore in this new update, so we'll let you dive right in below! In other news, we are also nearly done with the Doom of Mokhaiotl (Delve boss), but since this boss is fairly complex, we wanted to spend some more time with it to make sure that everything feels accurate and is working as intended. It will be available in the near future (within the next couple of weeks), so stay tuned for that! Ping Improvement: Sometimes (particularly for EU players) when logging in you would accidentally be routed through an NA server leading to higher than usual ping. This should no longer happen, and you will always be routed to the lowest ping server possible based on your location. Varlamore Expansion: Auburnvale Totem Fletching Minigame: Players with at least 20 fletching can now participate in the Auburnvale fletching activity. This mini game requires that players run from totem site to totem site, building up and decorating the totems for the wandering Ents. There are 8 totem sites in total. Players can build/decorate totems made out of oak/willow/maple/yew/magic/redwood logs. Oak totems require level 20 fletching to build. Willow totems require level 35 fletching to build. Maple totems require level 50 fletching to build. Yew totems require level 65 fletching to build. Magic totems require level 80 fletching to build. Redwood totems require level 90 fletching to build. Building higher tier totems/decorating them with higher tier decorations will provide more experience, and make the totems more durable. Totems have a durability of 1-7 (depending on a bit of RNG and which type of log is used), and will lose 1 durability each time an ent passes through and admires the totem. Each time an ent admires a totem, players will earn more offerings. When it loses all durability, it will break and need to be rebuilt. When building a totem, players will be asked to carve 3 specific animals into the totem. There are 5 total animals to choose from, but players should carve the 3 spirit animals that are around the totem site into the totem to maximize their rewards. The ents will also leave ent trails behind as they pass from site to site, and stepping on the 2 trails they leave behind will give players increased experience/rewards for a short period of time. Gameplay loop: The idea of this minigame will be to quickly move from site to site, making sure you build a totem and decorate it at every site you visit. Along the way, it’s a good idea to fletch logs into decorations to put on the totems. Most items that you obtain from fletching a log can be used to decorate the totems (unstrung short/longbows, shields, etc…) There is also a new item players can fletch from redwood logs, called the redwood hiking staff. This is a cosmetic item requires 90 fletching, and provides 11 base fletching experience. Totem Fletching Plugin: The Runelite client offers a plugin which helps with all aspects of this minigame. This allows players to highlight the chatbox carving options, shows totem overlays, points overlays, and highlights ent trails. Rewards: When an ent admires your totem, they will leave behind vale offerings. These offerings can be collected from the totem sites, and players can rummage through them to obtain rewards. Players will be rewarded seeds, feathers, anima bark, birds nest, as well as a few new rewards: Bale of Flax: A stackable item that can be opened into 25 un-noted flax. Ent Branch: An item that can be fletched into atlatl dart shafts, or used to make greenman carvings/statues. Dirty arrowtips: Arrowtips that can be cleaned to provide a random assortment of arrowtips. The tier of arrowtips provided is better at higher levels. For example, cleaning these at level 40 will mostly provide steel arrowtips, with a rare chance to provide rune arrows, while at level 90, it will mostly provide adamant/mithril arrowtips, with a common chance to also get rune/dragon arrowtips. Bow string spool This is an item that can store bow strings in it. Players can use bow strings on the spool, or they will be automatically inserted into it when the player is turning flax into bowstrings. The initial capacity is 250 bowstrings, however players can add a duplicate bow string spool to their existing bow string spool to increase its capacity. This can be done up to 5 times, and increases rapidly the more spools you add. No spools added: 250 bowstrings 1 spool added: 500 bowstrings 2 spools added: 2,000 bowstrings 3 spools added: 5,000 bowstrings 4 spools added: 10,000 bowstrings 5 spools added: 100,000 bowstrings Fletching Knife: This is an equippable version of a knife, which goes in the offhand slot. It can also be used as a regular knife for fletching when in the player’s inventory, but it also has a 50% chance to increase the fletching speed by 1 tick. This normally should be a 100% chance, however on Alora, most fletching actions are a 2-tick action rather than a 3-tick action, so the speed up is only a 50% chance rather than being guaranteed with each fletch. Greenman mask: This is a cosmetic reward, but it can also be used with ent branches to make the POH decorations. Players can change the style of this mask to various other styles, such as normal, oak, willow, maple, yew, and magic styles. Players will also be given vale research points when rummaging through the offerings. These can be used in the Vale Research Exchange, run by Ranulph, to purchase the bow string spool, fletching knife, greenman mask, and ent branch. All of the items in this shop will also be obtainable from the vale offerings. POH decorations: Players can use the ent branches obtained from the Totem fletching activity to make the following decorations: Greenman Carving: This requires level 79 fletching, and provides 70 base fletching experience. It can be made with 5 ent branches, 1 greenman mask, and some yew logs. In can be built in various rooms, including the dining room, combat room, or throne room. Greenman statue: This requires level 53 fletching, and provides 55 base fletching experience. It can be made with 5 ent branches, 1 greenman mask, and some maple logs It can be built in the player’s formal/normal gardens. Custodia Stalker Den: This is a new dungeon near Auburnvale that houses a new type of slayer monster. This dungeon can be accessed from various entrances near Auburnvale, or using the teleport wizard. New Rewards: Broken Antler: These are common drops that can be fletched into atlatl dart tips. This requires level 74 fletching, and provides 10 base fletching experience. Cutting 1 broken antler provides 100 atlatl dart tips. Antler Guard: This is a tribrid shield item that requires level 50 Prayer to wield. It has stats that place it somewhere between an adamant and rune defender for melee, between an unholy book/book of law for ranged, and between an elemental tome/book of darkness for magic. Alchemist’s Signet: These signets can be used to open a chest in the Alchemical society’s headquarters (where the Mixology mini game takes place). Opening the chest guarantees 1 noted aldarium, and has a chance to provide various noted herbs, seeds, and noted secondaries. Custodian Stalkers: There are 4 types of custodian stalkers: Juvenile custodian stalker: Requires 54 slayer to kill and is level 93 combat. Notable drops: Broken Antler Mature custodian stalker: Requires 67 slayer to kill and is level 117 combat. Notable drops: Broken Antler, Antler Guard. Elder custodian stalker: Requires 76 slayer to kill and is level 142 combat. Notable drops: Broken Antler, Antler Guard, Alchemist’s signet. Ancient custodian stalker: These are a superior variant of the elder custodian stalker. Requires 76 slayer to kill and is level 239 combat. Notable drops: Broken Antler, Antler Guard, Alchemist’s signet. Atlatl dart fletching: Players can now fletch atlatl darts. To do so, players must use atlatl dart tips on headless atlatl darts. This requires level 74 fletching to do. Atlatl dart tips can be obtained from chiseling broken antlers. Headless atlatl darts can be made from using atlatl dart shafts on feathers, the former of which can be made at level 74 fletching by cutting ent branches, Gemstone Crab: Players can now fight the Gemstone crab in the Tlatli rainforest. This is a multi-combat boss that has a unique healthbar mechanic. Its healthbar works on a timer, rather than a hitpoint basis, allowing players to continuously attack the boss until it burrows away to one of the other locations. It can spawn in a total of 3 different areas, and there is a cave entrance at each area which will take the player directly to the crab boss if they enter. The timer lasts for 10 minutes at a time before the gemstone crab burrows away. When it burrows away, the 16 players who did the most damage will be able to mine the crab’s shell 3 gems. This requires a pickaxe, but does not provide any experience, and does not have any mining requirements. Any gems obtained will go into the gem back if possible. This boss only provides 87.5% of the normal combat experience, but is a superior afk training method at higher levels, since the gemstone crab cannot be killed faster by dealing more damage. The Gemstone crab is immune to bolt special effects. Tonali cavern: Players can now enter the Tonali Cavern, containing Grimy Lizards, Moss Giants, Skeletons, Giant rock crabs, Rockslugs, and Earthen Naguas. Players can get there by entering through the Tlatli rainforest entrances, or using the teleport wizard option. Earthen Nagua: These are a new level 128 enemy that requires 48 slayer to kill. These nagua have a special mechanic, where upon reaching 60% hitpoints, they enter a reinforced form, making themselves more resistant to slash and less resistant to crush. Hitting the nagua with a crush special attack while in this state will cause their armor to shatter and weaken them, reducing their defences. These nagua drop the Earthbound tecpatl, which are similar to the Glacial temotli/Sulphur blades, but for the stab attack style. Quetzal transportation and the Pendant of Ates have been expanded to include this new part of Varlamore. The shops and shortcuts in the new towns have all been mapped out, as well as the new farming patches (a few of which have been added to the farmer’s blessing). The teleport wizard can also take players to Auburnvale, the stalker den, and the Tonali cavern. Warriors Guild Shops: Players can now use the warrior’s guild food and potion shops. These are individually stocked for ironmen. Quality of Life: Event zone changes: Npc’s spawned during boss mass events will now distribute loot in a fairer way. Any players who dealt 5% or more of the boss’ total hitpoints will now have a chance to get the loot when the boss dies. This means that all players who are able to contribute a bit to the fight will have a fair chance, rather than just a small handful of players who can afford the best gear. The amount of crystal shards obtained from The Gauntlet and The Corrupted Gauntlet has been increased from 3-7 to 5-9, and 5-9 to 7-12 respectively. EIM/GIM/Realism players can now trade in emblems/relics for their full value. Previously EIM/GIM players would get half the gp, and realism players would get 1/3 the full amount. Players will now be notified that they’ve failed the “Let it seep in” combat achievement just before the fight with Araxxor begins if they have a poison/venom immunity or a serpentine helm equipped. The Helmet of the Moon is now a 1/100 drop from the Moon chest, rather than 1/300. Catching Dashing kebbits through Falconry will now provide raw dashing kebbit meat. This can be cooked at level 83 cooking, providing 215 cooking experience. When eaten, it will immediately heal 13 hitpoints, and then 10 more 7 ticks later. Added many new sounds to the Leviathan battle. When a Manticore sees a player and targets them for the first time, it will now wait 6 ticks before charging up it’s first attack. Removed the combination warning when adding the 2 moon key halves together. Bloats falling flesh attack will now begin 2 ticks later than usual after he stomps. Players can now purchase empty cups from the Culinaromancer's chest. The blue moon spear now has +5% magic damage. Added some more sounds to the Vardo Bug fixes: Players can no longer use the Wilderness slayer cave shortcuts while they are frozen. Fixed a bug where the gypsy’s table in Varrock had a broken animation on HD. Fixed a bug where some shop items would be sold for their sell back price (for example escape crystals were being sold for 20k rather than 250k each). This issue has been fixed for all shop items. Bloats stomp animation will now have a higher priority. Fixed a bug where the royal titans hiscore plugin killcount was not showing properly. The moon key tooth/loop halves are no longer tradable. Fixed a bug with Verzik's phase 2 acid pools using the incorrect object id. This would sometimes cause the tiles to turn black. Fixed a bug where the sound of xarpus firing poison projectiles at the beginning of the hardmode fight would play many times over. It will now only be sent once. Sotetseg will no longer deal any damage if it is dead/dying. Fixed a bug where tanning noted hides while already having a stack of the same noted tanned hides would create 2 separate stacks in the player's inventory. Fixed a bug where Masori armour wasn’t properly increasing max ranged hits. The molten sand pools/crystals will now appear slightly sooner during Sol Heredit phase transitions. Sol Heredit will now continue pursuing players while he is changing phases. The nightmare UI will now update more responsively. Health/totem charge status will now be updated every game tick. Parasites and Husks will no longer spawn underneath the nightmare if it is avoidable. Fixed a bug where dragon claws would alch for over 2m. They will now high alch 123k, and low alch for 82k. Fixed a bug where players could not exit the kephri/Ba-ba boss rooms. Sulphur naguas will now drain 5 prayer when using their special attack, rather than 5 damage. Fixed a bug where the Eclipse moon would sometimes cause the player to remain frozen if it was killed during the shadow clones phase. Fixed a bug where any text after a “<“ symbol when typing in the clan chat would be invisible. Zuk will no longer rotate with the player's movements. This was causing un-wanted animation glitches during the final wave. Multiple players can no longer attack Singles plus bosses (artio, spindel, cal'varion) at the same time. The banana peel in the Ba-ba fight will no longer be affected by the Raid damage modifiers, which would sometimes lead bananas destroying players for 67+ damage, Phantom Muspah now uses the correct attack sounds for range/mage attacks. Muspah will only play 1 sound when a spike spawns during the fight. Fixed a bug where removing a bench in the POH when the player had 2 of the same types of bench built would cause both to be removed. Nightmare parasites will no longer drop any loot. Fixed a bug where falador ranger guards would attack using melee. The Phase 2 warden's max hit through prayer has been reduced for range attacks. Fixed a bug where feathers were costing 0 gp from the ironman shop. Fixed a bug where players could not buy the 5-year vetaran cape from Hans. Adjusted the Tumeken's shadow start graphic to be at the correct height. Fixed a typo when casting the upgraded death charge spell. Fixed a bug where players would sometimes be attackable before entering the boss room in the Tombs of Amascut. Fixed a bug where Zebak/Baba’s attacks would sometimes hit players after/as the boss was dying. Fixed a bug where the Yama divine severance contract wouldn't always turn overhead prayers off after 2 ticks. Fixed a bug where Yama would not follow the player closely in Phase 3 when the Contract of Sensory clouding was active. Players can no longer deal damage to yama with magic when the Glyphic attenuation contract is active. Players can no longer skip the enrage phase of the Whisperer with a thrall. Eternal donators now have a cap on how many duke supplies they can collect. They can still collect enough to make 40 potions at once. Fixed an issue on mobile where clicking the "Walk-here" option through the dropdown menu would path players to the incorrect tile. The sounds of molten sand spawning during the Colosseum will no longer play multiple sounds at once. Only one sound will be heard, even when multiple sand objects spawn within a short window. Adjusted the timing of the sounds of the crystals in the fight with sol heredit. They should no play a sound right when a crystal spawns, and then also play another sound if the player takes damage from the attack. The mager in the Colosseum will now check if the player's prayer is up 2 ticks earlier (as it previously was). Tier 1 prayers (the first 5) will now last a lot longer (36 seconds). Fixed a bug where the Combat Achievement bosses overview interface was showing the incorrect number of tasks. Callisto cub (retro) will now be hidden properly when using the Entity hider plugin with "Hide other players’ pets" setting enabled. This means at 1 hp, players will hit their normal max hit every time. Fixed a bug where the crawling hand item did not have a bank placeholder. Fixed an issue where the Dreadborn araxyte was using it's special attack too often. The dreadborn araxyte will no longer use its special attack if the player has a serpentine helm equipped. The "you pick a mushroom" chat message during the Duke Sucellus fight is now categorized as spam. Removed the granite helmet from the Collection log, as it is not currently obtainable. Fixed an issue with the Collection log overview being misaligned. Godwars dungeon minions/bosses will no longer try to target players after they’ve left the room. Vials of water now cost 50 gp each from the ironman shop. Fixed a bug where slayer helmets with shop ornament kits on them were protecting over more valuable items. Unlike other valuable untradalbe items, when a player dies in PvP, they do not lose the ornament kits attached to these helmets. As always, with updates of this scale, there are bound to be some bugs -- please report them in the bug report section as soon as possible so that we may fix them promptly. We hope you enjoy this update! Regards, Omicron
[10/08/25] Fixes: Yama Changes: Void flares spawning during the Yama fight will now have a sound effect. Contract of Bloodied Blows: Players will no longer take damage when activating a fire glyph when the Contract of Bloodied blows is active. Adjusted the way the “Wretched strength” modifier works. Rather than increasing the player’s maximum hit (similar ot the “Wretched strength” effect of the Dharok armour set), this effect will now increase the player’s minimum damage Quality of Life: Colosseum Sounds: The following interactions now have sounds during the Colosseum fight. Molten lava spawning Volatility explosions Javelin Colossus attacks The correct music will now play in the Ancient Guthixian Temple. Player’s ears’ will no longer be graced with the sound of the “Ground Scape” song when fighting tormented demons. Players are now always guaranteed to catch the following birds at the given hunter level: Ferrets at 70 hunter. Crimson swifts at 49 hunter. Golden Warblers at 53 hunter. Copper long tails at 56 hunter. Cerulean Twitches at 58 hunter. Tropical Wagtails at 61 hunter. Players can now make extended anti-venom+ potions by using torstol potions (unf) on anti-venom (4) potions. Adjusted the crystal beam attack sound in the Colosseum. A setting has been added to toggle the friendly player attack options. Previously, if a player was in your clan or wearing your team cape, the left-click “Attack” option would be de-prioritized. This will now be prioritized by default (following the player’s attack priorities). Players can disable the friendly attack options in the Gameplay tab of the settings interface to revert this to how it was previously. Added sound effects for Mark of Darkness and Death Charge. Prayer timing for a lot of older/generic npcs that use magic/range will now be delayed to when the hit is registered, rather than at the beginning of the animation. This will mainly effect the npc’s in the fight caves (jad remains unchanged), so that players can turn on their prayer later (about when the projectile reaches them), rather than needing to do it at the start of the animation. The baby mimic is now in the “All pets” collection log section. Players who already have the pet speak to the collector to log it, as long as the pet is in the play Bug fixes: Increased the drop rate of elite clue scrolls from Tormented demons. Adjusted the item value of shark lures to 10 gp each. Players can now attack Tekton while he is walking to the hammer if they were not already in combat with him. Fixed a bug where players could not dismantle a salamander net trap by clicking on the tree. Fixed a bug with salamander net trap resetting not locking the player for long enough, causing de-synchronization with the runelite hunter plugin. Fixed an issue where releasing pets with probita would not make them re-purchasable from her. Spell icons will now always be the same size in the edgeville PvP instance. The shark fishing spot in south-east varlamore no longer moves around. Players can now attack dragons in the brimhaven task only area when on a metal dragons task. Adjusted the pvp protection value of most PvP equipment. The contract of divine severance will now only turn off protection prayers. Fixed a bug where thralls could hit energy siphons during the warden final phase fight. The gauntlet plugin will no longer tick down the player's attacks if the Hunllef protected against the attack. Fixed an issue where player body parts would sometimes be invisible. Araxxor's acid drip attack will now cover every tile the player pathed over. Previously this would skip every other tile if the player was running. Fixed an issue where Preserve/Rigour/Augury were using the incorrect sounds. Npc's in the wilderness slayer cave that are not normally aggressive will no longer be aggressive to players. Added stronghold of security spawns for Catablepons and flesh crawlers. Players can access the lower levers by using the portal in the stronghold of security. Catablepons will now drop the top of sceptre piece. Fixed a bug where the timers setting on mobile was conflicting with the Timers and Buffs plugin. Fixed a bug with the collection log positioning. Fixed a bug with the spellbook re-ordering plugin not working. Fixed a bug where players using the native HD mode could not left-click walk in the barrows crypt. [29/7/25] Fixes: Fixed a bug where spell book filtering was not working correctly. Players can now kill Minotaurs in the Stronghold of security. Players can now decant guthix rests. Fixed an issue with the skill guide alignment. Fixed a bug where the Eclipse moon would heal when doing it's shadow clone attack. Fixed a bug where players would sometimes return invisible from the judge phase of Yama. Fixed a bug where Kephri’s swarms would heal it infinitely. Fixed a bug where the Revenant weapons would not apply their damage bonus to the Revenant combat dummy. Fixed an issue where some player’s completionist capes in their reclaimables shop became null items. Overhead prayers are now turned off when starting the fight with Yama if the Contract of Divine severance is active. Fixed a bug where inventory presets that had completionist capes were showing null items in the cape slot. The contract of divine severance will now longer spawn an extra void flare that has full hitpoints in phase 3. The contract of bloodied blows will now longer spawn 2 extra void flares in phase 3. Hello everyone, Today’s update is a bit smaller content-wise than our usual, but mighty nonetheless! We’ve added a number of updates that have been on the back burner for far too long, such as the Telekinetic grab spell, Skull scepter crafting, and adding many missing items to the Collection log. Aside from these, we’ve applied some Yama fixes, and a bunch of other bug fixes / QoL. More below: Mobile fix: Many parts of the mobile client felt "choppy", for example Olm’s animations, or the Dwarf multi-cannon would flicker back and forth. This should now be fixed. Chiselling Arterfacts: Players can now use a chisel on ancient artefacts to break them down into revenant ether. Ancient emblems break down into 1,000 ether. Ancient totems break down in 2,000 ether. Ancient statuettes break down into 4,000 ether. Ancient Medallions break down into 8,000 ether. Ancient Effigies break down into 16,000 ether. Ancient Relics break down into 32,000 ether. World Map Hotkey: Players can now open the world map with the ctrl/cmd + m hotkey. This setting can be disabled in the settings interface. Ornate Combat Dummy: Players can now build an ornate combat dummy in their player-owned house game room. This requires level 58 construction, 5 teak planks, 1 black mask, 1 gold leaf, and 4 bolts of cloth to create, and provides 300 base construction experience. This dummy spawns as a regular combat dummy, but can be swapped to various types of combat dummies. All variants, including the regular one will apply the slayer helm bonuses when attacked with a slayer helmet/black mask equipped. Undead Dummy: This dummy acts as an undead npc, as well as a demon-type npc. Revenant Dummy: This dummy acts as a revenant npc (including being undead). Kalphite Dummy: This dummy has the “kalphite” attribute. Kurask Dummy: This dummy has the “Leafy” attribute. Vampyre dummy: This dummy has the “Vampyre” attribute. Vorkath Dummy: This dummy has the draconic attribute, as well as being undead. Skull Sceptre: Players can now create the skull sceptre (I) by combining all 4 of the skull sceptre pieces. This staff can be equipped at level 1, and has a built-in teleport to barbarian village. This teleport has unlimited charges. This staff can only auto-cast from the Arceuus spell book, or crumble undead from the normal spellbook. Collection Log Additions: Chambers of Xeric: Torn prayer scroll Dark Relic Onyx Tombs of Amascut: Jewel of Amascut Slayer: Granite longsword Granite boots Granite helm Granite Legs Bronze boots Iron boots Steel boots Black boots Mithril boots Adamant boots Rune Boots Helmet of the Moon Miscellaneous All of the items added to this category can be instantly obtained if the player has the item by speaking to the collector in Edgeville. Big Shark Big Bass Big Swordfish Broken zombie helm Right skull half Left skull half Top of sceptre Bottom of sceptre Yama Fixes/Adjustments: Contract of Bloodied blows fix: The “Wretched Strength” boost from this contract will now also increase the player’s minimum damage. The player’s minimum damage will now be equal to the player’s max hit multiplied by the boost from wretched strength. So if the player’s max hit is 78, and their wretched strength boost is 0.9 (90%) from having low hitpoints, the damage will be 70. The “Wretched Strength” boost will now be applied to the damage later in the damage calculations, leading to the overall boost to the player’s damage being quite a bit higher. It should now be far easier to one-hit the void flares with half-health. Yama will no longer spawn void flares in phase 1/2 unless the next attack is a shadow-based special attack. Yama glyphs will now last 10 ticks instead of 9. Pet Loss: Pets will no longer be lost on death. Players will still need to pay any fees to reclaim pets that are stored with probita (that were there before, or that were/are emptied). Previously, when a player died, they would lose their pet and need to pay a fee to reclaim it from Probita. The pet will now continue to follow the player after their death, regardless of if it’s a PvM or PvP death. If the pet is in the player’s inventory, it will be lost similar to before, and will need to be reclaimed from Probita. Guthix Rests: Players with level at least 18 herblore can now make Guthix Rests. They can be made by combining 2 Guams, 1 harralander and 1 marrentill into a cup of hot water. Players must have all ingredients in their inventory at the time of creation. Creating the rest will provide 59 base Herblore experience. Cups of hot water can be acquired by heating up a cup of water on a range, or heating up a bowl on a range and then transferring the hot water to an empty cup. This provides no cooking experience, but is a much faster process than cooking food. Slayer Changes: Individual Slayer Master Block Lists: Instead of having one block list for all slayer tasks/maters, there will now be 3 different block lists. Normal slayer tasks (primarily obtained from niece). Wilderness slayer tasks (only obtained from Krystilia). Location-base slayer tasks (only obtained from Konar). Player’s existing block lists have been wiped, and their points have been refunded for the blocked tasks. Any tasks blocked will only apply to the tasks obtained from that specific type of slayer (normal, wilderness, location-based). The same goes for blocked boss tasks. The task storage permanent unlocking now costs 500 slayer points rather than 1,000. Players who paid 1,000 will be refunded the extra 500 points upon logging in. Unlock price changes: Ring bling will now cost 150 slayer points rather than 300. Bigger and Badder will now cost 50 slayer points rather than 150. Slug Salter will now cost 10 slayer points rather than 80. Players who have already paid the old price to unlock these perks will be refunded the difference upon logging in. Unlock/Extension Changes: I hope you mith me: This has been replaced with “Warped reality”, unlocking warped creatures as a task. The points for this unlock have been refunded to players who had it. Pedal to the Medals: This now applies to the generic “metal dragons” tasks, except for the lithkren metal dragons assigned by Konar. This will increase metal dragon task amounts from 20-40 to 150-200. I really mith you: This has been replaced with the “Oh Brother” extension, which extends barrows tasks to 90-130 kills per task. The points for I really mith you have been refunded to players who had it unlocked. Ada’mind some more: This extension has been replaced with the “Harder than mithril” extension, extending lithkren dragons from Konar from 3-7 to 20-40. The points will be refunded to players who had this extension. RUUUUUUNE: This has been replaced with the “More at stake” extension, extending vampire tasks to 200-250 assigned. The points will be refunded to players who had this extension. Duo Slayer Improvements: Partnering process: The player who is requesting to partner with another player will now have clearer indications of the status of their request. If the player who they want to partner with logs off, walks away, declines, etc.. The requesting player will be notified right away, whereas previously they would not be. Cancellation process: If the partner doesn’t have a slayer streak, they will no longer need to go through any confirmation interfaces when their partner cancels a slayer task using free skips. Fixed a bug where it was possible to keep your partner, but have different tasks, leading to unintended partner behaviour. The Slayer plugin has been updated to be a lot more consistent. It should now properly track all tasks extremely accurately (even location based tracking), and be able to pickup where it left off after a player logs out and logs back in again. Individual Shop Stocks: Ironmen now have individual shop stocks for various different types of shops: This includes all rune shops and trading post shops, as well as Ordan’s ores, and a few of the range shops that stock arrows. This means that ironman shop quantities for these shops will remain unaffected by purchases made by other players, so if a player hasn’t opened a shop in a while, it should always be fully stocked. We’ve also split the realism/normal player stocks. New Spells: Players with level 42 magic or higher can now cast the monster inspect spell in the normal spell book. This costs 2 body runes and 2 mind runes to cast, and works like the monster examine spell lunar spell. It provides 31 base experience per cast. Players with level 33 magic or higher can now cast Telekinetic Grab on the normal spell book. This spell lets players pickup items from a max distance of 10 tiles away at the cost of 1 air and 1 law rune. This spell provides 43 base magic experience per cast, and picks up 1 item at a time, or an entire stack if the item is stackable. Steel Ring: The Deranged Archeologist now drops the "Steel ring" at a 1/43 drop rate. This ring provides +24 slash/stab/crush defence. Keris Partisan of Amascut: This is a new Keris partisan variant that, similar to the Keris partisan of corruption and Keris partisan of the sun, can only be used in the Tombs of Amascut. This Keris boasts a much higher stab bonus than the other Keris partisan variants, at +108. It also provides the damage/accuracy boost against Kalphites/scarabs, but only 15% rather than 33%. The 1/51 chance to deal triple damage still remains. This weapon can be made by combining the Jewel of Amascut with the Keris Partisan. This jewel is obtained the same way as the other Tombs of Amascut jewels, and will be the next jewel that players obtain if they’ve already obtained the other 3 jewels. Shark Lure: Players can now obtain shark lures from the following sources: Zulrah Vorkath Phantom Muspah Grotesque Guardians Drakes Thermonuclear Smoke Devil Larran’s Chest Konar's Chest These lures can be used when fishing sharks to speed up fishing by quite a bit, Players can configure the lures to be used in quantities of 1/3/5 at a time. Higher quantities speed up catch speed but reduce experience earned. 1 lure used reduces experience to 27.5 base fishing experience per shark. 3 lures used reduces experience to 22 base fishing experience per shark. 5 lures used reduces experience to 18 base fishing experience per shark. Share Lures can be stored in the tackle box. Shop Changes: The Edgeville/varrock general shopkeepers will now open individual general stores for ironmen. The minimum general store sell price will now be 20% of the items alch value (this is up from about 7-8%). So it will now start at low-alch (unless it’s a Karamja general store with Karamja gloves), and the sell price will reduce as stock builds back up, down to 20% of the items value. Paul, the ironman shopkeeper, will now buy all items at 20% of their value. This is increased to 25% with the Varrock hard diaries, and 30% with the Varrock Elite diaries. Drop Changes: The rate of the tooth half of moon key has been greatly increased from all mobs in the Ruins of Tepoyauik. Adamant dragons, fossil Island wyverns, basilisk knights, and lizardman shamans now drop un-noted herbs rather than noted herbs. Quality of Life: Yama's shadow crash attack will now begin after yama snaps his fingers. Added attack sounds to the hunllef fight. The hunllefs damage will now be calculated at the start of the animation, rather than when the damage is registered. Players will now receive a confirmation dialogue when using an imbuement scroll. The rats spawned by scurries will now be instantly killed in one hit, even if the player’s max hit is less than 15. Scurrius’ mage/range projectile attacks are now delayed by 1 extra game tick. Players will now be told the total number of barrows points they have after each barrows run. The silver jewelry creation options will now appear when left-clicking a furnace if the player has silver bars instead of gold bars. Uncut onyx in the TzHaar Gem Store will now cost 260,000 Tokkul instead of 300,000 if you are wearing any pair of Karamja gloves. Damage from the nightmare will now be calculated 1 tick later. This will give players more time to protect from the auto-attacks with prayer. Players can now use the skull skip technique to avoid taking damage from the Warden’s energy siphon attack in phase 3 of the Tombs of Amascut final room. Scarab swarms no longer drop bones. The UFO attack during the Wardens phase 1 fight now has safe spots on the edge of the arena. Completionist capes and hoods/monkey variants can now be stored in the POH cape rack. Npc death animations will now play a few ticks earlier to make the death process smoother. Dragon hunter weaponry damage bonuses will now be applied at the very end of the damage calculations. Previously it was factoring the bonus damage on the original damage roll, rather than the damage roll after applying boosts such as the slayer helmet boost. Armoured Zombies now drop the broken zombie helmet. Players with 70 smithing can use repair it on an anvil. The helmet requires level 50 defence and strength to equip. The Crystals during the Colosseum final wave will now play a sound when charging up their lasers. The Javelin Colossus’ special attack will now get the player’s location 2 ticks after the animation starts, rather than right as the animation starts. Players can now reclaim any max or completionist cape hood by using the cape on Mac. This process is free of charge. Baby mimic inventory icon now looks like the pet (instead of just a silver box). "Stoking" the Tormy pet will now have the player do an animation. The left-click "teleport" option on the portal nexus will now correspond to the default teleport set in the "Configuration" menu, rather than the last location teleported to. Players can also toggle the “left-click” box in the configuration interface to disable the left-click functionality entirely. Bug fixes: Fixed a bug where the special counter plugin would not clear specials after some npc's died (in raids usually). The special counters will now be cleared after a player leaves a raid, so it will no longer linger until they restart the client or the plugin. Fixed a bug where the Venator bow's ricochet projectile was using the Echo venator bow projectile. Fixed a bug where the guaranteed spell hits against the Nylocas Matomenos were not working properly. The guthan's set effect will no longer trigger against Vampyres. Clan chat names can now only contain letters/digits, no symbols. Hitsplats against jewelled crabs will now be blue if they were blocked. Fixed a bug where quickly typing your password and hitting the enter key to login would sometimes tell you your password was incorrect if you were too fast. Fixed a bug where if the player hit enter to login and typed a letter, it would show up in their username when they logged in-game. Fixed a bug where the higher lever mage baboons were spawning in wave 3 rather than wave 5, and vice versa. Ironmen can no longer sell items back to Ali Morrisane that are not already in the shop. Players can now create the Trident of the Swamp (e) by using the magic fang on the trident of the seas (e). Akkha's shadow will now display a runelite health overlay when attacked. Fixed a bug where the login screen plugin would cause crashes when logging out with Alora’s native HD active. Tormy no longer plays sounds when moving/being stoked. Players will now roll the "uncommon" table from the intricate pouch more frequently. Fixed a bug where the key master clue scroll step was still broken for master clue scrolls. Fixed a bug with the clown outfit placeholders causing some clients to crash. Players can no longer enter the chompy bird cave. Players in PvP will now make sure to always move within the 11 tile maximum freeze distance when in PvP. Previously, at some angles, players would stop pathing towards their target while being 12 tiles away, which would mean they could catch the freeze and them immediately their target would be unfrozen because they were too far away. Players will no longer receive duplicate huntsman kit's from hunter loot sacks. Fixed a bug where the Guardians of the Rift drop table was showing a nature house instead of a Nature talisman. Fixed a bug where players could not click on the parts of the game scene when the world map was open, even if they had the "Click outside interface" setting enabled. Fixed a bug where the key remapping plugin wouldn’t allow players to move the camera with WASD when the world map was open. Fixed a bug where 117HD was sometimes causing crashes upon entering the Corrupted gauntlet. In Path of Crondis puzzle room of ToA, the health of the Palm of Resourcefulness was not properly scaling and was always 124 HP higher than intended. Solo teams will now scale it to 200hp, Duos to 325hp, and so on (125hp for every extra player, not including the first player). You can no longer get glitched on the Gauntlet boss entrance barrier by spam-clicking elsewhere when entering. Fixed a bug where the bank deposit box amount depositing wasn't working correctly for non-stackable items. Alchemical Hydra's enraged phase (grey) will now attack every 4 ticks rather than 6. We hope you enjoy this update! Best, Omicron
Hello all, We are glad to announce something that we've rarely done on Alora, and that is release a brand new rank, Respected. The Respected role is a prestigious rank given to carefully selected members of our community that have contributed significantly to shape Alora into what it is today. These players have went out of their way to make Alora a better place, whether that be through content creation, accomplishing impressive feats, moderation or community interaction, and we would like to reward these players with a highly exclusive rank as a way of saying thank you. The rank has no distinct requirements, but a multitude of criteria will be considered by the administrative team before a player is selected. Over the coming weeks, you will hear from us as we will announce several players that are worthy of this rank, past and present. Respected members First wave of Respected members @[member="Blank"] Alora's first Community Manager, responsible for laying the foundation for Alora's success. Many of Blanks ideas have survived to this day that the staff team use. @[member="Lowkey"] Alora's second, and longest serving Community Manager. Part of Alora since before its inception. Took over the role of Community Manager and excelled at it for several years, all while entertaining the community with his iconic livestreams. @[member="Moe"] Do we even need to explain this inclusion? Without a doubt Alora's most respected member, bringing unmatched energy every time he logs in. @[member="uTorrent"] Alora's first Event Manager, the brains behind many of the events that we still host to this day. @[member="Elsa"] One of Alora's very first players, with a registration date four(!) months before release, and still sticking around a decade later. It would be a struggle to find a player that has a negative word to say. @[member="Phanny phart"] One of Alora's most dedicated players ever and within touching distance of achieving Alora's most incredible accomplishment; max experience on realism mode. And this is not even mentioning how helpful he is to new realism players. @[member="mochiii"], @[member="eimcastionix"] & @[member="miq"] Not many players can say they have completed most content and gathered the very best items along the way, but these three can. Occupying the top 3 on the hiscores for collection log slots completed respectively, they have shown immense dedication to the game over the years. @[member="gim hellish"] For those that have been around for a while, you'll know what impact Hellish has had on the server. The list goes on and on, from bringing the community together as an event manager, to keeping the server in order as an administrator, to several impactful stints as a staff member, and last but not least being one of the owners of the longest-standing clan in the game, there's not much that has to be said. Second wave of Respected members @[member="Sassafras"] - If you think of the Ultimate Ironman game mode, one player springs to mind. Sassafras has been playing the game mode for the majority of its lifespan, being one of a select few to achieve max experience on UIM. Other notable contributions include helping out with staff duties as a Global moderator, and giving a helping hand with clans. @[member="Sagacious"] - One of the most dedicated players of recent times. One look at his account tells you everything you need to know. Max experience, rank 3 in collection log slots, over 5000 completed raids, tens of thousands of boss kills, the list goes on. You may also have come across a post or two of his, being one of our most active users on forums. @[member="Dante"] - also known as Xuf, for those that don't know him - was an administrator that contributed greatly to the staff team. Those that interacted with him in the past will have nothing but fond memories of his humour and larger than life personality. @[member="adex"] - Adex is a longtime Alora player that most new players have never heard of, but the older community know him very well. He contributed with various staff duties as an Administrator, and to top it all of, he was the first player to achieve max experience on two separate accounts, which just shows the immense dedication Adex had on Alora. @[member="Dumbshit"] - If you've browsed our forums over the years, there's a chance you came across Dumbshit's incredible work. He has contributed greatly in making the forums visually pleasing for the community. Some of his work includes the redesign of our userbars, community award images, and update post graphics. @[member="God"] - Also known as Josh, was a long time staff member, whose work back in the days was crucial in maintaining a positive environment and active community in Alora. During his time, the content and action in the wilderness was at its peak, and many players may remember him from the Juggernaut event. @[member="Noobair"] - One of the most dedicated players on Alora, he is most known for being the first player to achieve max experience on an elite ironman account. Many players since then have been inspired by Noobair. @[member="Real Beer"] - One of the longest standing Realism players, Real Beer is known for being a leading role model in the realism community, going out of his way to help any player get involved in the game mode. Kind regards, Alora Staff Team
