What is it with alora's forum that makes it so dead, only have the same 5 mods and support responding to posts. There has got to be away to get the forums more active.
I know a lot of people don't like forums but if you look at other rsps servers you will see even when the forum site is not nearly as clean as alora's they are still constantly active.
I hope we can come up with some events on forums to get them more popular. Thanks for your time.
Cheers!

I agree, we have a vibrant player base in game, although, the forums seems to have the same few members who make topics and reply to posts. Personally, I would like to see the forums more active but I guess that's down to each individual player making an effort.

What about a big 2-week contest where people have to post their goals for the 2 weeks and journal their efforts along the way, and you'd pick a winner to receive an ingame reward?

I kind of equate it to a party.  If you have 10 people come to a party 30 minutes apart, they’ll see that nobody is there and then leave. However, if you can get 5 people to show up at the same time, then the next people showing up individually will see how much fun everybody else is having and stick around (reinforcing the decision for the next person to show up to stay, etc.)

Afterwards you could have new challenges every 4 weeks, with constantly adapting rules and goals to make the experience better.

I love the idea of a challenge or forum-wide event every X weeks or so - something for the entire community to look forward to and participate in.

I prefer forums over the actual game.

Sometimes I'll wake up and have 4 notifications and sometimes it'll be 50.

It's weird is all I have to say.

You have any suggestions?

i was hoping to get some ideas towards my contest idea, and @Jace is always there to help lol

I like the idea of a contest, i will come up with some ideas and will have to have more ppl support the events server wise.

Need to have more people showing support on the game for the forums, a lot of people dont even look at the forums to get info cuz they can just ask and get whatever answer they are looking for or a cancer answer from trolls in-game.

I personally think the forums have always been like this, the activity isn't too bad.

There are still a decent amount of people posting on the forums, especially browsing.

This. I've been apart of many forums over the past decade, and the common denominator that I've noticed is that forums aren't everyones cup of tea. This is largely true for private server gaming communities, people prefer to play the game than to post on the forums the game has. Then you also have other messaging services like Skype and Discord that further diminish forum posting because people can strike conversations there rather than here, especially if you just want to talk to a specific person, or group of people.

I fall into the category of people who are always on the forums, I check every post but I never respond. Maybe if there was some incentive to post or something. Would also be good if the forums was more interactive with things like forums based competitions were you have to post achievements or races or best times or something cool for prizes. Just some thoughts

I hope the loyalty program helps the forums. I made a suggestion for "Fourm Ranks" that will make you have some milestones for your post count.

Well the thing is too, you only see the same people posting etc, it's more like a split group of people :/
