If possible, I think there should be a lower xp rate option without having to be an hc ironman. The current xp rates are so high it doesn't exactly feel rewarding to get 99's and I understand that there is a reason for that but having the option I think would be amazing.

I agree with this suggestion. Having to get 99's in 1 almost 2 hours depending on the skill doesnt seem rewarding enough.
If there were options to choose our EXP rate, it might satisfy those like myself and @ Cheeseblast for wanting to get our 99's a bit slower.
In my eyes, I'd rather see a ton of items from a certain skill lined up in my bank and not even have 99 of it yet, instead of barely nothing and at 99.
I 100% hold myself to this idea. I like it.

Or just go for 200m...?

Or you could understand that some people just want a slower time leveling, I understand that once you get to 99 it slows down a lot but that isn't the point of this topic.

I disagree with this one. The reason for this is because getting max for all content in game shouldn't be something that takes months to do. If you want an accomplishment that shows that, go for 200m.

There is nothing really that special about 99 other than it means you can do all relevant content in that skill.

Longer 99s means longer time until end game content, and for those people playing solely for the content, the current xp rates are  great.

There are also pets you can grind for if you want to see the supplies stack in your bank. Nothing stops your from mining tin, copper, iron, silver, coal, gold etc etc, or shrimp, trout, salmon, tuna. etc.

Nothing is stopping you from having a cool looking bank if that is all your interest.

I mean more like an option for people to have lower exp rates, not for everyone to be set to one single xp rate.

That's the entire point. You want to accomplish something with slower exp rates, then go for 200m. The mechanic is already in the game.

Exactly the mechanic is already there in the form of HCIM have 8x xp rate, I'm asking if its possible that we can get the same xp rate without being ironman as an option. I know its in the game as a mechanic but since this is a suggestion I was just seeing if it was possible.

I play HCIM because of the slow xp and the feel of accomplishment without needing to spend a year of my life. The slower xp rate is perfect and allows me to enjoy the game without feeling like I'm going from goblins to bandos in an hour.

I see no problem with @ Omicron adding a "realistic" game mode account option where its like x5 runescape rates, or something quite enjoyable for some people who seek the challenge.

Another solid account option for players seeking such

Could be another thing that makes Alora that little more attractive for people. 5 game modes in total, would be good.

I personally just enjoy the thought of going for 200m in all skills, but I see no harm in a new game mode.

I support this, I remember another server what was quite the same, you can choose what xp rate you get and you'll get a title with it, so I'd support it if you can just choose an Xp rate without the title though.

As someone that have been going for 200m all since the release, and now have maxed a HCIM, this is something I would love to see, the longer grind for maxed was amazing, so much fun. I get asked alot why not just play OSRS? Simply because it isn't Alora, the way it's setup plus the community.

This mode would be amazing for the skilling economy, the amount of supplies needed for the 99s/200ms would be insane.

What exp rate are you thinking this harder mode would have?

I play on another sever with 2x xp rate, that's probably too low for most people but anything under 6x would be fantastic.

Edit: It just seems like you want the recognition of an HCIM without the risk. If you really were just about the "grind" as you said in response to "just get 200M", then you would simply... "just get 200M" :P Really what's the difference? You waste the same amount of time... you get the same announcement... I don't see the logic here but...

I would support it if they aren't given any extra symbol/acknowledgement of their status if it is purely for the grind. I would like to see how many people choose this mode if no one knows they use lower rates, because all I'm smelling right now is the need for acknowledgement without the commitment to the HCIM lifestyle.

Seen a few servers have the option to toggle your XP lower in the quest tab. Just for the people who enjoy a more grindier grind, it comes with no benefits apart from having slower XP than most. I wouldn't mind seeing this, it will literally do no harm, if anything, will help people sell some more supply items as these people will need more supplies due to wanting to play on lower xp.

As numerous people have already stated just go for 200m, another thing that in my opinion is not really needed atm. I get that you want the challenge/longer grind but surely 200m on all skills is enough?

I just don't see the point of people wasting time with things that only a handful of people would really use when there are much more important things that need addressing

No support from me
