Zulrah and HCIM Mode

Make it so that dying to Zulrah on HCIM mode is classed as a dangerous death, since the game mode is supposed to be challenging. Not only is it like this on OSRS, but other instanced bosses on here such as Cerberus are also dangerous deaths, so I feel that Zulrah should be as well. By dangerous death, I mean that a HCIM would lose their HC status.

 

How would those that don't support the above suggestion feel about having 1 safe death per day at Zulrah? This is currently the case on OSRS after you've completed a certain achievement diary, I believe, and would obviously protect your status if you were to disconnect or make a mistake.

I support, make it like how OSRS has it. What you said it will be more challenging since the gamemode is suppose to be challenging. Hopefully this gets changed! ;)

I support this, Zulrah is a wealth of gear and resources so it should have some risk involved.

Agreed, or put some diary req into it like, do so many achievements for 1x resurrection a week possibly.


No longer playing 'ill max soon' my focus is on maxing my Classic.

I think this is a fair change. Late game gear comes from Cerberus and Zulrah. Safe deaths should remain for minigames but should be changed for bossing. Good idea!

I appreciate you making great suggestions towards alora, but this suggestion is just pointless, a lot of HCIM have Dced/died at zulrah, can they get their status back?

 

You're an ironman, your xp rates are different compared to ours, i understand you still got to grind, but imagine putting in a lot of effort and Disconnecting/lagging out and losing your status.

 

Alora will never be exactly the same to osrs, why aren't you suggesting to nerf the drops to same as osrs?

 

Make suggestions that are more useful next time towards the ironman community in general so everyone could benefit from, don't look at a different game mode thinking how to make it worse.

 

Sorry for the negativity, but this is how i feel about this suggestion.

I mean zulrah in her mage phase can hit up to 40s if not protected, you can easily get combo'd by that mage attack + snakelings who hit up to 10, up to 15s, so i mean you can just get 1 shot. considering that HCIM is x8 normal xp, getting zulrah stats is pretty big grind, and then you lose it because your internet dropped, or you couldn't eat in time. i understand HCIM must be challenging, but in this server zulrah (for me atleast) hits like a freaking train. I think zulrah should be as it is now

I support, zulrah's loot table is really good for skilling resources and shouldn't be counted as a safe death for HCIM. Especially [like you said] since other bosses such as cerb and kraken aren't safe,

The rewards from this boss are huge, there should be some sort of risk for HCIM that want to use it, like on OSRS.

Harambe does have a good point however, its quite a grind on HCIM to get to zulrah, and to just get combo'd into oblivion and losing HCIM status is probably not what private server players, who generally want a faster/easier game experience value.

It gives an unfair advantage to the HCIM before who died and got their gear (like bp, crystal seed, etc.) without fear of loosing hcim status.

Nah, no support.

 

Zulrah would be only worth the risk to grind as a HCIM when having sharks + brews to safe up(having brews + super restores as HCIM is painful). As said previously in this topic, you cannot pray when he mages since he attacks in both ways(range and mage) you get lots of unexpected 40s + snaklings hitting you up to 15 it's TOO risky for not that much of a worth boss. A little bit of lag you die, FIRST you gotta be an HCIM to understand..

 

And I understand the fact that it is supposed to be challenging playing as HCIM, but to be honest there are some there that just want the 8x rate so they can grind a little more, and don't like the fact that dying you just lose everything(from the xp rate POV).

 

That's just my opinion, feel free to disagree.

Firstly, you can pray switch on the blue phase, you just have to be standing a certain distance away. In response to the rest of what you said, that's the whole point of being a HCIM, don't play the game mode if you don't want any risk. It defeats the whole purpose to just be able to camp a safe boss for most of your supplies. However, I wasn't expecting any of you HCIM to support this since your views are biased anyway.

This server tries to be as similar to OSRS as possible, so the drop rates are only very slightly different. Also, see my above response.

The PKP shop was completely removed from the game for all ironmen a while back, yet the ones who did buy from it before that update didn't have the items removed. I also supported that update, even thought I never bought from the shop, as it was a better option than just leaving the game as it was.

Support only if they fix Zulrah ticks on switches so they're more accurate and perhaps nerf the mage phase a bit, cause yeah accidents happen.

Have to kind of agree with this one, worst case scenario make 1 safe death per day but considering how big part it is for HC ironmen, hard to change it now. 

Also if it were to be changed, the first day like 3-6 hardcore ironmen would die from it, no matter how hard it was led attention to.
