Today I am suggesting that we see a new chat option added (chat option such as toggle donation logo on/off). This option would make us able to toggle on/off the item drop messages from the chat. These messages are O.K, but I feel like it kinda ruins the fun of dropping an item for me as I see it in the chat, before i see the item on the floor, and when i see it i'm like, ah, I already know its w/e. I might be the only one who feels this way, But I think it would be great to just, have an option to turn them off, just in case some people feel the same way. I would really enjoy them, and I would feel more hype when dropping an item, or a wanted pet. 

 

                                                                                   Is it in OSRS ?

 

Well the drop messages are not, so I would say yes. I prefer the way item drops are shown in chat in OSRS.

I know this is a RSPS and most RSPS's do it that way, and quite frankly, I have no idea why. 

 

It will make alora look even more like OSRS because we will get an even more realistic chat :) 

 

Not a very important change, but it would be a nice one. Maybe not to everyone, but surely some people.

Having the option isn't bad but it is a good community interaction for people to see and kind of fun especially for bigger drops. Neutral.

I personally enjoy the broadcast messages and has informed me on drops I didn't even know I got but to each there own I guess. Currently If you go into the settings you can already hide donator icons. Neutral I don't see how it would hurt adding this.

Ehh, if you really don't want to see the drops just toggle your game chat to filtered, simple as that, NO SUPPORT

To add to this, filtering your game chat also makes you appear offline. If anything, I support fixing the game filter feature so that you stay online on the friends list when the game chat gets filtered. If you want to appear offline to everyone or just appear online to friends, that is what the private chat feature is for.
