What is your suggestion?: Wilderness Scrolls

How would this benefit Alora?:

Okay so I have been trying to think of sugestions that would benefit all players ie PVM and PKERS and come up with an idea that provides new PVM content and also further increases wilderness activity as I see the lack of wilderness activity being brought up a lot in game and on discord etc. Now this is just a rough idea I came up with at 4am last night and will need tweaking and such and all drop rates I mention are obviously just a rough idea and would need looking into properly but here we go:

 

What is a wilderness scroll?

A wilderness scroll is a scroll dropped by monsters within the wilderness - Thorough thought would need to go into what monsters or if all monsters dropped these scrolls however I had an idea on this:

 

Wilderness Scroll Level 1

 

This scroll would be dropped by wilderness monsters combat level 1-70 (1/300)

 

 

Wilderness Scroll Level 2

 

This scroll would be dropped by monsters combat level 70+ (1/200)

 

 

Wilderness Scroll Level 3

 

This scroll would be dropped by wilderness bosses only (1/100)

 

I have a scroll, now what?

Upon obtaining a Wilderness Scroll the player must read the scroll and will be directed to an area of the wilderness they must go to and dig, location ideas:

Demonic Ruins

 

 

Chaos Temple

Upon digging in the required location I have two idea, the first is that you just get the reward, however instead of just getting the reward my other idea is a small fight, now I am unsure what NPC would fit this best, I was thinking maybe a Brassican Mage or a variation of the mage, I feel it would also be better if each level of wilderness scroll had a different boss, or they rotated at random to add the final bit of unpredictability but I do feel that the higer level scroll must have a stronger fight at the end.

 

 

 

Rewards

This is where some thought needs to go into this suggestion by the staff to ensure balancing etc, the scrolls need to have a reward that makes it worth while to first hunt down a scroll and then complete it but at the same time they should be balanced to ensure they are not too OP.

 

Each scroll would have a 100% chance at dropping a set ammont of GP, this should reflect the level of scroll completed. And then each scroll could have its own drop table or there could be a global drop table but then drops from a global table would need to be weighted to again reflect the level of scroll that has been completed.

 

Items on the drop table(s) could include:

 

GP

Random Noted Ores

Random Noted Bars

Seeds

Herbs

Random Gems

Noted Dark Crabs

Noted Angler Fish

Noted Mahogany Planks

Noted Potions (Super Attack/Strength/Defence/Prayer/Brews/Restore/Super Combat)

 

Rare loot:

 

(This needs to be looked at to ensure balancing but just throwing ideas out there)

 

Uncut Onyx (Weighted depending on scroll level)

Zenyte (Weighted depending on scroll level)

Pet?

 

(Unsure what else could really go into this rare loot table, any ideas?)
