[Unguided]

Hey, I was wondering. Are there any discussions about resetting a game mode like HCIM, Elite, or any other? Just for the rush of competition? Or maybe making Elite Ironman 2, Hardcore 2, etc.? I am sure I am not the only one who would love the chance to race to the leaderboard and to just have fun while fulfilling that competitive side of one self.

Cant say im supporting the reset of current gamemodes but isnt this what leagues is all about?

I do not think the team has any talks of resetting any gamemodes. It would be pointless to add a new gamemode because later on it will die out. If you are asking about seasonal content then it's what Satan Smash said. We get leagues every year.

I don't really see a reason to reset an entire game mode when we have yearly Leagues

i 100% agree with this post, even for someone like myself theres just no reason/push to properly play and have the 'care factor' beyond general gaming for the sake of it/out of routine.

its why ive always preached prestige, where its a purely cosmetic competitive highscores for those who have finished 200m all and want to continue competing or having a general sense of progression 24-7.

AND im not sure if @Omicron cares, but its also a hella good way to increase reason to go beyond for dono ranks than whats currently incentivised and as a methodology of cleaning out the economy in resources which pairs nicely with the item-cosumer he implemented. (which has done a great job in keeping gear items fresh and relevant

(i was talking to mod ryan from jagex and they said theyre looking at implementing prestige to runescape 3 to compensate for all the backlog of xp/items over 25 years and a way to give 'reason' to play beyond just pvming)

I completely +1 @Mtam, couldn't have said it better myself. It definitely helps creating that neverending endgame if you like. Overall player retention without having dozens of alts.

Yeah we do not have any talks about game mode resets, but prestige sounds really cool. Suggest it up on forums!!

this seems like it would require a lot of dev time but maybe it could be done well, just seems pointless IMO though
