#236323 [Eim 40a] Bank update

Posted by 40a on 19 November 2018 - 05:07 PM

Hey everyone! Just a quick bank update on my elite ironman account (Eim 40a). I'll be updating this thread every once in a while! ****UPDATE 12/05/2018******

#234789 What Sports Do You Follow?

Posted by Immortal Fox on 14 November 2018 - 06:00 PM

NBA, but I mostly just watch highlights. Only time I really invest into watching an entire game is during playoffs. I watch UFC also. That's about it.

@Blackup

Thanks for the write up (and the visuals), I'll try to get all of this into the game in the near future. The delays might also be because of your location (server is based in NA), though I have noticed a delay with casting spells which I'll look into a bit more.

As for the spearing, is the issue simply that the target isn't 'pushed' if they're frozen?

@MADASFUK

I've also taken note of the things you've mentioned and will try to include them in the same update.

#232867 PvP Improvements.

Posted by MADASFUK on 08 November 2018 - 11:44 PM

Just to add to it slightly:

the 1 tick delay isn't just on barrage, it's on (as far as i'm aware/have seen) Every single spell on every single spellbook, This having the largest impact on veng and barrage (1 tick when venging e.g. in a riskfight is a huge difference and has countless times cost me a kill)

Dragon claws STILL need a (slight) accuracy buff. A dds should not be on par/arguably better with a 70m weapon. (When focusing on this server it is literally better to use a DDS since it's overall more DPS.)

None of the things you said should even be classed as "suggestions" apart from perhaps the venom, These are things that simply are wrong and need to be fixed for the servers pvp mechanics to be fixed and "working", especially the 1 tick delays, spearing and multi lines. (I think these 3 things combined drive away every single experienced pker that ever logs onto the game.)

Support, anything that could potentially spark up the PK scene on Alora is a positive in my books. Also, it may help @iron aritus improve his NH skills enough to finally take down@Qodl for once.

#232691 PvP Improvements.

Posted by Blackup on 08 November 2018 - 02:31 PM

After playing this game for three days now, we have noticed some major differences between Alora and OSRS. No, they are not the same game, but these improvements will definitely improve the PVP side of the server and will make the game more appealing to a bigger playerbase.

1. Wrong areas of multi/single combat.

There are a few areas of the wilderness where this is an issue. Mainly near revenant caves.

2. Resource area- Few issues

When in the resource area, high rewards are presented at high risk. With Alora, if there is any semi-decent pker skillers have absolutely no chance in escaping the area if attacked. When logging out on OSRS the player is returned to the entrance where as with Alora a player can remain logged in the area and instantly get a click on the player the same tick they log in, making it inescapable for skillers. The Resource Area should be changed so if players are logged out in the area they are returned to the entrance, to give skillers a chance.

Secondly, the resource area gate is bugged. When a player clicks to leave the gate and is caught in any type of freeze the player is unable to click anything meaning a pker has potentially 20 seconds to put damage into the player free of them eating.

3. Healthbars going full red at sub 3hp.

I'm sure this issue has already been raised so i'll just leave it at that.

4. Venom/ Anti-venom

When entering the wilderness a player should be prepared, with OSRS this usually means bringing an anti-venom but with Alora without this aspect it gives players far too much free roam in the wilderness. Including pkers themselves. This should be included to make the wilderness more dangerous.

5. Spearing

Currently, spears are not working, this is a crucial change that needs to be implemented and will affect both the multi and single scenes, giving players a greater chance to kill higher risking pkers (elysians and so on). I'm sure this is something that players would like to see changed to the game.

6. Delays/1 ticking

As many players know, the delays on Alora are quite significant relative to other servers which eliminates the differentiation between higher tier pkers. Currently you cannot 1 tick barrage on Alora, if this was changed im 100% sure Alora will take many players from competing servers.

Hope you take into account our suggestions so we can continue to play this server and produce some content on our YouTube channels.

#229264 Tradeable donor ranks

Posted by Extremedanny on 29 October 2018 - 01:22 PM

The system is currently made so you can't just keep transferring the benefit from one account to another (which is why it is a one time transfer $250+).

As it would be unfair to keep giving the same advantage to multiple accounts from donating on a singular account, no support.

Plus very easy to get Master Donator for free ;)

Well first off. I think the donor rank shouldnt be attached to a account but rather a person since its that person that spend their moneys. with group ironman coming and me already having 1 account iwth master and 1 with uber I really dont feel like spending another year salary. And how is this easy free master donor?

#227730 Ultimate Ironman guide / tips, 2018

Posted by Bhaal on 23 October 2018 - 10:26 PM

Hey guys,

I'm going to list information / tips here that are unique to Ultimate Ironmen (UIM) only - so this guide assumes that you already know how to complete these things on a regular / elite Ironman account, but might not be sure how to do it on an Ultimate Ironman account with the banking restriction.

UIM xp rates are the same as regular Ironman (40x for non-cb skills).

These are my opinions and other UIM's may have better or more efficient ways of doing things, so keep an open mind :). I'll update the thread as I think of things. Alternatively jump into the ICE clan chat to ask any other questions, as there are usually a few UIM's hanging out there.

Index:

1. Looting Bag

2. Noting / Unnoting Items

3. Saving Inventory Space

4. Transferring Items to a Main Account

5. Using Store Tokens

6. Pets

7. Wilderness Activities

8. Skilling

9. Raids 1 (Chamber of Xeric)

10. The Inferno

1. Looting Bag

          a. Function: This is an item that you carry in your inventory and can hold up to 28 items. Effectively it functions as a second inventory, although it can only hold tradable items (untradable items cannot be stored in it). However, when you put items into the bag it will be hassle to get them back out, so only put in items that you won't need in the immediate future (such as supplies).

                             4c90349c09c6026a13dc7f290507c7c2.png                   d53dd19723c0286fa633f25416109dc2.png

          b. Getting a looting bag: To obtain a looting bag, kill any creature in the wilderness. 'Thugs' in level 1 wilderness in the Edgeville dungeon are ideal. The drop rate is roughly 1/30.

          c. Depositing items: You can only deposit items into the looting bag in the wilderness. I use the teleport: PVP > Varrock (multi-combat) and then run north and jump the Wildy ditch, as this area is less crowded than running north of Edgeville. Be wary of bounty hunter opponents teleporting to you. Tip: it can be helpful to note PvM drops (that you plan on transferring to a main account), as you may subsequently get a second drop of the same item and you'll save space if they are noted.

          d. Retrieving items: This can only be done by "Suiciding". Teleport to the Kourend Catacombs and die to the 'Dark Beasts' there. Once dead, your items will drop to the ground, separate from the looting bag. Go back to the Kourend Catacombs, pray melee, and grab your stuff (including your looting bag). The death timer for UIM is 60 minutes and your items will not appear to anyone else for this full duration, giving you plenty of time. The looting bag does not get destroyed when you die (unlike OSRS) - instead it just drops on the ground and empty's all of the items that were in it.

88747dc2787bd259ad335684d253a589.png  e5648f6d3257fd2feb3a5056a4ea9a0c.png

2. Noting / Unnoting Items

          a. Use items on bank tellers in order to note or unnote them.

3. Saving Inventory Space

          a. Untradable Items: Many items that are untradable will be stored with the "Lost item manager" (south of edgeville bank) when you die and they can be re-purchased for gold - anywhere from 200k to 1 million gp, depending on the specific item. Use this to save space when you don't need the items. Items that are stored at the Untradable shop include: Anything purchased from the achievement shop (Shayzien armour, cooking gloves, etc), skill / max capes, elite void, crystal halberd, imbued rings, slayer mask, dragon defender... and more.

Note 1: Making items untradable by adding ornamental kits does not always (or ever) work. E.g. adding dark infinity re-colour to infinity robes does not make them go to the Untradable shop, instead they just drop on the ground like they usually would. However, imbuing rings does work. So it's item specific.

Note  2: 'Dropping' untradable items does not work (they won't go to the untradable store, they'll just disappear) - you have to actually die with them in your inventory for them to go to the untradable store.

                                            fe5288ca8e757f3b3733263003f2a31b.png

          b. Inventory Storage Items: The Rune Pouch, Herb Sack and Seed Box can all be used to save space (see para 5a for more details).

          c. Thanks @UIM Dummy for this tip: you can use barrows armour sets on the trading post to turn them into one item.

Note: The Zulrah banking method (in OSRS) does not work on Alora. Additionally, the POH costume room does not work - it can be built, but you can't store any items there.

4. Transferring Items to a Main Account

          a. Description: It can be useful to transfer duplicate PvM drops to a main account, as you can then sell them.

          b. Method: Firstly, be wary of transferring your cash, as this can be a little crippling when trying to buy back untradable items or insuring pets. Secondly, your main account will need to either be the same combat level, or very close, in order to do this with the least amount of risk possible.

So the method; Suicide in the Kourend Catacombs (see para 1d), but before you die make sure that you type in ;;skull, so that you become skulled and don't keep your best 3 items. Once dead, run back to Kourend Catacombs. You may have to pick up half your items and suicide again on a different tile, as you may have too many items on 1 pile to selectively pick them up. Note: This does not cause your first pile of items to disappear - you can die as many times as you want within the next hour and each pile of your dropped items will have its own independent 60 minute timer.

Grab ONLY the items that you want to transfer to your main, and teleport back to PvP > Varrock (multi-combat). Type in ;;skull again and then let your main account kill you in level 3 wildy. There's always going to be some risk to this (e.g. a bounty hunter opponent could teleport to one of your accounts and steal the kill), so be ready to flee back into safety if this happens.

          c. Getting Bonds on UIM: You can buy in game Bonds on your main account, "Revert" them for 5m gp, and then "Use" them on your UIM.

Note: Drop trading items on a UIM account does not work.

5. Using Store Tokens

          a. Priority items for Saving Space: With store / donator tokens, consider buying a Rune Pouch, Seed Box and Herb Sack. Not only do these items save you space, but they will also go to the Untradable store when you die, so they can be stored themselves later on if you don't need them at that moment. Alternatively, the Rune Pouch can be gained as a PvM drop from Wildy bosses, the Herb Sack can be purchased with 7.5k slayer points and the Seed Box can be obtained from the Daily Task Rewards for 350 points.

                          54ab10df864a58a7337611e0b7d70aaf.png               0111fad8779453b4e7179309e1e23914.png               aa246cabf63b9d6a3efccc0fc823f1fe.png

Note: Thanks @UIM Ymmud for this tip: If you die with the seed box in your inventory, you will lose all seeds that are stored in it.

          b. Other Useful Items: Like on regular, HC and EIM Ironman, other useful items include: Imbue scrolls, Imbued Heart, Magic Stones (if going for Nature Pet house)... etc.

6. Pets

There are a couple of ways to store pets on UIM.

          a. Pet House: A Nature Pet house can be constructed at 92 construction, however this requires 2 magic stones (very rarely dropped by monsters or obtained through the ;;store). Additionally you need a total of 22 free inventory spots (20 build items, + a saw and hammer) to hold all of the items required for its construction. The Nature Pet House holds 8 pets only (unlike on OSRS). Lower tiered pet houses hold smaller amounts (e.g. Oak houses hold 2, Teak 3... etc).

                                                                                                           3c68383dd72639824a423e6a61facce0.png

          b. Probita: She is an NPC just south west of Edgeville bank. She will insure each pet for 10m gp, and you will need to pay 1m gp if you want to recover a pet. By right clicking "Check" on her, you can see all of your insured pets in a nice concise list. This is a more permanent way to store your pets if you decide to start pet hunting (for more than 8 pets for example). Once insured, you can suicide to lose a pet so that it doesn't take up space in your inventory.

Note: If you die with a pet in your inventory, it will drop to the ground as an item. Do not leave it to dissapear, as Probita will not realise that this pet is 'lost' and you won't be able to recover it later (although it will stay on her list of insured pets). Make sure that you die with your pet following you, as this will then classify it as being 'lost'.

                                                                                              339be98dacd9a5b889338d7ebcf0f836.png

7. Wilderness Activities

          a. Fortunately, the 60 minutes death timer for UIM provides plenty of opportunity to complete wilderness activities whilst your items lie on the ground in relative safety. Be aware that Power Cuts or Internet Outages can really screw you over here, so try be careful. Also bear in mind that items that would go to the Untradable store on death will continue to go there even if you get killed by another player, regardless of what level Wildy you're in. So for example, this makes the Crystal Halberd and Elite Void ideal for PvM'ing in the Wildy, as you can never lose them (you just need to pay gp to get them back).

          b. UIM's keep 3 items when they die (unlike OSRS), or 4 if using the Protect Item prayer. Below is an example of a Wildy PvM set up:

             736681b67417b176153659793c12901f.png

Note 1: You could supplement your protected 3 (or 4) items with untradable gear (such as elite void), but make sure that the untradable items are the ones that will be lost on death - not the normal tradable items (like my bandos armour in the above pic). You can check this by clicking on the "Worn Equipment" tab, and then the "View items kept on death" tab.

Note 2: Instead of keeping noted food in your inventory (and risking it in the Wildy), you can thieve one item at ;;thieve, sell it to the trader there and then buy a fishing item (e.g. harpoon) to fish an inventory of food. In the above set up, I have the cooking cape as my 4th item (99 cooking req, or alternatively cooking gloves are good). It only costs 100k and is useful for cooking high tier food without burning it - thereby slightly increasing the amount of time you have in the Wildy to PvM before needing to pick your items back up.

8. Skilling

For the most part I'm not going to describe how to skill - there are plenty of other guides out there for these, so I'll only comment where your skilling method might need to be adjusted in light of the fact that you're a UIM account.

          a. Inventory space: For some skills inventory space is a priority, so it's best to store as many items as possible in your looting bag and wear the remainder. If you have too many items to do this, it's going to make your skilling of some skills less efficient. Try not to jump between skills too much. It's an unfortunate downside of UIM that camping 1 skill to level 99 at a time is the most efficient way to play.

          b. Prayer: You could use the chaos altar, or if you can't be bothered using the suicide method to enter the wildy (or don't want to risk your bones), you can instead use them on an altar in someone else's player owned house, and then tele back home and unnote them on the bank teller to get another inventory. If you have your own gilded altar then you can use this (only need a tinderbox) for quite a lot more xp. Unfortunately the demonic butler won't unnote bones.

          c. Runecrafting: The runecrafting pouches from the Aubury npc at ;;shops are very useful. Don't be afraid to drop your pouches after you're finished a runecrafting session, as you accumulate a lot of runecrafting points and there's nothing better to spend them on anyway (so you can just drop your pouches, re-buy them, drop them again... so on).

          d. Construction: Zulrah drops Mahogany planks and Kraken drops Oak planks. Making planks from logs is workable, but quite tedious. Use a demonic butler to speed up the process, as he will unnote items in your inventory for a small fee. Alternatively for best xp, you can make Incense burners at level 69 con (in a chapel room) out of 2x Steel bars and 2x Bolts of cloth. Steel bars can be gained from Gargoyals, or easily from Steel dragons (especially once you've completed Dragon Slayer 2 and can get them noted). Bolts of cloth can be purchased for gp from the Construction guy outside the POH.

          e. Herblore: These herbs are good to keep: Irits, Kwuarms, Cadantines (for xp), Toadflax, Snapdragons, Ranarrs and Lantadymes. The first 3 herbs all have easy to obtain secondaries, and are useful for boosting your stats whilst slaying / PvM'ing. The last 4 are useful. Personally I don't collect Ranarrs or Lantadymes anymore, but you may find these helpful early on. For secondaries, Eyes of Newts can be purchased from Paul, Limpwurt roots and White berries can be quickly obtained from Kurasks (I collect these only as needed - they don't have a permanent spot in my bag), Birds nests from the GIant Mole, Red spiders eggs from Venenatis (drops 500 at a time so only really need once, use the suicide method first so you don't risk your stuff).

Note: Birds Nests can be obtained by trading in your mole skins and claws to the farmer in Falador park, BUT when you trade him noted skins / claws he will give you back UNNOTED nests. Don't be a pleb like me and trade him a giant stack of skins and claws, as you cannot hold all of the birds nests he gives you and you'll lose most of them on the ground. The best way to do this is to unnote an inventory of claws / skins at Falador East bank (make sure you have a Pestle and Mortar), drop your main noted pile on the ground, re-note the 20 or so unnoted ones and drop these on a different pile. Depending on whether you have claws or skins, do this 2 or 3 times. Then run the smaller noted pile to the Farmer to unnote for birds nests, and then run back to Falador East bank to pick up the larger pile.

                                               8cbf8793b7da02110fee41257a501da2.png

          f. Crafting: Although you can do this by cutting gems, by far the easiest method is to collect flax from Zulrah (drops 1,000 at a time) and use the "Spin Flax" lunar spell to quickly spin them. You'll need Astral runes, Nature runes and an Air Staff. Although this is slow, it's faster / easier to collect supplies in comparison to other crafting methods. Fortunately UIM's still enjoy a 40x xp rate, so it doesn't take 'too' long.

          g. Fletching: You can fletch the abundance of magic logs that you get from bosses / wc, or alternatively buy both broad bolts components from the slayer master (feathers not required) and add them together - this is a cool method as it isn't affected by having limited inventory space available.

          h. Smithing: Crystal keys will get you a lot of rune bars, so if you do slayer first this will go a lot easier. Collect adamant bars from Zulrah / Skeletal Wyverns. With the introduction of the blast furnace, you could utilise both noted runite ore and coal (both dropped by Zulrah and other bosses) to make extra bars.

Note: Thanks @Elite Sheets for this tip: making gold bars at the blast furnace (with goldsmithing gauntlets) is the quickest way to level up. Avoiding having to use coal for smelting is also super helpful for UIM accounts, due to the limited inventory space. Additionally gold ore is dropped by a few monsters (such as Gargoyals) and so can be collected passively whilst slaying, or can just be obtained and kept whilst training mining. Gargoyals also drop steel bars and mithril bars, which can be useful for lower level smithing xp.

          i. Farming: Definitely plant as many herb seeds as you can for herbs, you can Note grimy herbs on tool lephrechauns, and additionally they will hold onto your farming equipment so that you don't have to constantly re-buy them from Paul (or carry them around). If you're trying to rush for 99 farming, I'd suggest camping Lizardman Shamans as they drop both yew and magic seeds fairly commonly (plus you could get a dragon warhammer), and these only take 90 minutes to grow.

9. Raids 1 (Chamber of Xeric)

          a. Inventory: The set up is the same for normal / elite Ironmen accounts, except with 3 additions - your looting bag, zulrah scales and noted saradomin brews (optional). It's completely fine to not bring any super restores as they're easy to loot inside a raid (and you generally only need to loot a couple). It's also possible to just bring cooked fish instead of brews, although your team mates might not like you looting a tonne of Xeric's Aids. Use the bronze axe spawn in the Ice Demon room (instead of bringing a dragon axe) and don't worry too much about super potions (you can often loot them within the raid anyway).

        b. Switches: Elite void is great, as this saves on the amount of switches you need to make. You can get away with only switching out your void helmets and weapons, although to be a little extra effective it's not a bad idea to also switch amulets / necklaces. You don't have to bring a crossbow + rubies (blowpipe is fine by itself). Additionally if you want to save on darts, consider bringing a trident + mage void switch for Olm's right hand, as it does a good amount of damage with the latest Olm update.

10. The Inferno

          a. Method: This is basically the same as completing the Inferno on other account types. However, be mindful that you'll have at least 1 or 2 less inventory slots. Blood barrages / blitz's can save you taking too many brews. Consider not bringing a crossbow + rubies, as your toxic blowpipe can be used on the final boss (unlike OSRS). The crystal halberd can save you having to bring a shield slot - if you do bring a shield (for tanking when maging), wear it when you go in so that you can have a full inventory and then drop, pick up and re-drop a prayer potion in between waves (until you've got enough space to hold it).

          b. Supplies: It's a good idea to plant ranarr weeds or snapdragons in your herb patches, so that it is quick to restock on potions if you die inside the inferno, without having to waste time killing monsters for the herbs. Soul runes (for blood barrage) and super restores (if you can't make them) can both be obtained as drops from Cerberus.

#223443 [8/10/18] PvP Armour and Weapons, Soul Runecrafting, Lunar spells & more...

Posted by Omicron on 08 October 2018 - 05:11 AM

Hello everyone,

Today’s update includes a number of bug fixes, and plenty of QOL and small content updates… But more importantly, following the Ancient armour poll which seemed to get a very positive response from the community for the most part, we’ve decided to roll out PvP armour and weapons! Statius, Vesta, Zuriel and Morrigan’s armours and weapons are now available in the wilderness, more details below. We’ve also got some cool Halloween updates coming soon, as well as plenty of 2nd Anniversary events right around the corner ;)

Note: PvP Armours and Weapons will not be allowed in the upcoming Elite Ironman tournament ($1000 prize tourney).

WARNING: You MUST be on the latest client to fully take part in the new content provided in this update. If you are on an old client, you may have issues viewing Ancient equipment that is dropped on the ground. Most of your clients will automatically update if you are using the launcher, but if not (ZIP file), please manually re-download the latest client.

  • Blast Furnace updates:
    • A cap of 100 bars has been added to the dispenser.
      • This means that if you have more ores in the melting pot, but have 100 unclaimed bars, no more bars will be made until you remove the unclaimed ones.
    • Ordan will now present a confirmation box before spending money on more hours in the Blast Furnace. He will list the total hours and final cost and ask you to confirm.
    • Steel bars fixed:
      • Previously, any Iron ores deposited into the Blast furnace would be turned into Iron bars (no coal required), and Steel bars could never be created.
        • The furnace will now prioritize steel, so that if you have at least 1 coal, Steel bars will be created. Simply do not add any coal if you would like to create Iron bars.
  • Clue scroll changes:
    • Your clue completion count is now counted (as of this update) for each type of clue.
      • Clues completed before this update will not be counted.
      • The # you’ve completed will be displayed after every clue.
    • Sack of scrolls:
      • A clue completionist reward which is available after completing at least 150 clues in total (of any type)
        • This item can be purchased from the Skillcape shop for 1,000,000 GP.
  • Goldsmith gauntlets added:
    • Goldsmith gauntlets can now be purchased from the Loyalty Point Exchange for 50,000 points.
      • These gauntlets allow you to obtain 2.5x the usual experience when smelting Gold bars.
        • This applied to: Normal smelting, Blast furnace XP, and Superheat spell.
  • Ahrim’s staff update:
    • Ahrim’s staff can now be used to autocast spells.
  • Ignore list upgrade:
    • Ignore list capacity has been upgraded from 100 to 200 maximum names. You must update your client to have the updated list, and if not, your list will have the old maximum (100) but will send you a warning that you are using an outdated client.
  • Lunar spell updates:
    • Humidify spell can now be casted:
      • Casting this spell requires level 68 Magic and 1 Soul rune, 1 Fire rune, and 3 Water runes, and provides 65 Magic experience (before any multipliers based on your game mode).
        • This spell can humidify your water-containing vessels (empty buckets, jugs, and vials) and can also be used to soften clay.
    • Monster examine:
      • You can now use the Monster examine spell to get more details on any attackable NPC.
    • Tan leather:
      • You can now tan up to 5 hides with this spell, assuming you have level 78 Magic and 2 Soul runes, 1 Nature rune, and 5 Fire runes.
        • Hides that may be tanned:
          • Green, blue, red and black dragonhide
          • Cowhide
          • Snakeskin
  • Outdated client warning:
    • We try to keep our old clients as compatible as possible, but it is always best to be on the latest clients. Some players choose to play with the ZIP file rather than the launcher, and may not know when client updates occur.
      • To prevent this, players on old clients will now receive a warning on login that their client is outdated and may not be supported in the future.
  • Miscellaneous:
    • Amounts on the NPC drop table interface are now formatted.
    • Fixed a bug which caused quest tab dialogues to display “Line1” rather than the intended text.
    • Fixed the bug which caused the “Trust this computer for 31 days?” dialogue to appear when speaking to other npcs.
    • Scorpia safespot fixed.
    • Tournament cup updated with August’s King of the Skill event winner (Sololite)
  • Clan chat changes:
    • The clan chat member list will now be sorted alphabetically rather than by rank. (to match OSRS update)
  • Runecrafting updates:
    • Soul runecrafting:
      • Soul runes can now be crafted!
        • The way that these are crafted is quite different from other runes, and you’ll need to have the following stats:
          • 38+ Mining
          • 38+ Crafting
          • 90+ Runecrafting
          • (Recommended) 73+ Agility
        • How to craft Soul runes:
          • First, you’ll need to teleport to the Arceuus essence mine. Here, you’ll be able to mine Dense essence blocks.  You can access this area through the teleport wizard, on the skilling menu.
          • Once mined, you can take these to the Dark altar to the west and convert the blocks into Dark essence blocks.
            • Using essence blocks on the altar reduces Prayer points by 1 point per block, but also provides 2.5 Runecrafting experience per block.
          • These dark essence blocks can then be used with a chisel and crushed into Dark essence fragments. Each block can be broken down into 4 fragments.
          • Finally, you can head to the Soul altar east of the mines to turn these fragments into Soul runes.
        • Note:
          • You can only have a maximum of 108 Dark essence fragments in your inventory. Therefore, it is advisable to mine a full inventory, break them down, then mine another full inventory to take to the Soul altar but only break them done after you’ve converted the first 108 fragments into runes.
    • Runecrafting pouches -> Untradable reclaim:
      • If you die with your Runecrafting pouches, you can now reclaim them for the Lost items manager at the following costs:
        • Small pouch - 100k
        • Medium pouch - 200k
        • Large pouch - 400k
        • Giant pouch - 800k
  • Combat changes:
    • Opal bolt special attack fixed:
      • Opal bolts (e) and Opal dragon bolts (e) can now trigger the bolt special “Lucky Lightning” which has a 5% chance and deals extra damage on your target based on your visible ranged level.
        • Formula:
          • (visible ranged level * 10%)
            • Eg. At 112 ranged level (boosted), the extra damage is 11.
    • Dwarf cannon change:
      • The Dwarf cannon can now hit enemies up to 9 steps away rather than the previous 6 step maximum.
    • Javelin bug:
      • Javelins were providing too much Ranged attack bonus (Should only be Ranged strength). Affected Javelins have been fixed.
      • Additionally, the Ranged strength of each of these javelins was too high as of a recent OSRS update. They have been updated (slightly lowered) to match OSRS bonuses.
  • Theatre of Blood reward changes:
      • We’ve increased the number of rune drops from ToB, specifically for Ironmen as many blood runes are used in the Theatre.
        • Blood rune:
          • Old range: 40-400 runes
          • New range: 250-1200 runes
        • Death rune:
          • Old range: 50-500 runes
          • New range: 300-1300 runes
  • Pet changes:
    • Pets will now follow you as soon as you log in rather than going to your inventory every time, assuming there is enough room around you for your pet to appear.
  • Zulrah loot dismantling:
    • Tanzanite fang, Magic fang and Serpentine visage can now all be dismantled for 20,000 Zulrah scales for each item.
      • This is useful for Ironmen who have multiple drops of the same kind and no need for duplicates.
      • A warning dialogue will be displayed to ensure that dismantling is what you would like to do.
  • Thermonuclear Smoke Devil Redesign:
    • The Thermonuclear smoke devil has been graphically reworked.
      • Additionally, the Pet smoke devil has been changed to match and given a transform option, allowing it to switch between the boss and regular Smoke devil models.
  • Ancient PvP Armour and Weaponry:
    • PvP armour/weapons are finally here! These powerful pieces of equipments are ancient artifacts in the Wilderness and can be obtained by rare chance from killing any monster over level 50 combat.
      • Equipment:
        • Statius’s Warhammer, full helm, chest plate and platelegs.
          • Statius's warhammer special attack, Smash, costs 35% of the wielder's special attack energy. Upon a successful hit it will deal anywhere between 25% and 125% of the wielder's standard max hit, any successful hit will lower the opponents defence level by 30%.
        • Vesta’s longsword, spear, platebody, plateskirt.
          • The Vesta's longsword special attack costs 25% special energy and will deal anywhere between 20% and 120% of the wielder's standard max hit, the accuracy of this special attack is rolled against 25% of the opponent's defence.
          • The Vesta’s spear special attack costs 50% of the wielder's special attack energy. Upon use the spear will damage all targets within 8 tiles surrounding the player. Outside of multicombat zones, only one target is damaged. This special attack can hit a maximum of 16 targets at once.
        • Morrigan’s javelin, throwing axe, leather top and chaps.
        • Zuriel’s staff, hood, robe top and robe bottom.
          • The staff provides a 10% magic damage boost.
    • Binding:
      • When received, these items are tradable, but NOT equipable. To make them equipable, you must bind the item to your account (right-click option), which makes it become untradable. Once you have binded the item, there is no going back. It is locked to your account until it crumbles to dust.
        • A warning is displayed before binding.
    • Degradation:
      • These items, unlike any other items in Alora, will degrade after a number of uses in combat. All of the items have 5,000 uses before degrading. A “use” is defined by you attacking another enemy. Each combat action is 1 use.
    • Balancing:
      • Outside of the wilderness, the bonuses from these pieces of equipment have been nerfed 20%. This does not apply to PvM within the wilderness, as these are primarily intended to be used for PvP and wilderness PvM.
    • Formula to hit the drop table for these items is as follows:
      • Assuming the monster is at least level 50 combat:
        • Step 1.
          • Denominator = 20,000 - ((npcCombatLevel - 50) * 150)
            • Level 50 combat: 1 out of 20,000 chance
            • Level 100 combat: 1 out of 12,500 chance
            • Level 150+ combat (same rate after 150 combat): 1/5,000 chance
        • Step 2: (Wilderness level)
          • Reduce denominator by wilderness level * 50.
            • If the monster is level 150, the rate is 1/5,000. Assuming we are in level 50 wilderness, reduce this by (50 * 50), bringing our rate down to 1/2,500.
        • Step 3: (Hotspot)
          • If you are in a hotspot, an additional 10% reduction will be applied to your rate.
            • Carrying over the example above at level 50 wilderness with a level 150 combat enemy (1/2,500 chance), if we are also in a hotzone, this is reduced to 1/2,250.
        • Step 4: (Multiplier)
          • This rate is applied at the very end, and the final denominator is simply divided by the multiplier. The multiplier is currently set at 1.5, though we can change this for events and/or if the armours are appearing too commonly.
            • 2,250 / 1.5 = 1,500. Final chance is 1/1,500
      • Once you hit the drop table, some items are rarer than others (eg. Javelins and thrown axes are more common than Statius’s warhammer).
    • Other notes:
      • If you kill another player who has a piece of PvP equipment that is degraded, you will receive 250 PK points (per piece of equipment) assuming you are eligible for PKP. (not suspected to be farming)
      • All of the equipment requires 78 defence to wear, and the weaponry requires 78 in whichever skill it is based in. (eg. Zuriel’s staff requires 78 Magic)

  • Store:
    • Mithril seeds can now be purchased by Ironmen and Classics.
    • Imbued hearts can now be purchased by Ironmen and Classics.
    • Coal bag has been added to the store, and can also be purchased by Ironmen/Classics.
    • PvP Mystery Box:
      • A new mystery box, the PvP mystery box, is now available in the store! At a cost of 350 tokens, it has a guaranteed chance of any piece of the new Ancient PvP equipment.
        • Note:
          • The rewards include Morrigan’s javelins and throwing axes to balance out the loot.
          • Additionally, weapons are more rare to obtain than equipment.
