Whenever you create a new account to play a game, the first step is to create a username. Sometimes, a name can be just simply a name. Sometimes, some folks have a deeper and stronger meaning behind why they choose to best respresemt themselves as a certain name.

On Alora, I see a variety of different names in the game, in the forums, and in the Discord. So I ask, what is the meaning behind your username?


For me, it all started in community college when I was taking an introductory philosophy course as a computer science major. I was learning about John Locke and René Descartes, and a concept was brought up about “moral truth.” This really opened my mind and changed my perspective on life. This got me thinking about a lot of things. Is there a true way of morality? Are morals subjective? Is there a way we’re supposed to go through in life that best affects the people around us in a positive way? Several more questions besides these came to mind, and then it hit me to use “Moral Truth” as my username. I wanted to have a name that has meaning and can be resonated with myself and others. Seeing that phrase as my name is a daily reminder for me to walk the path of goodness and positivity. Later on, I finally changed my major to philosophy, graduated from community college, and I’m currently pursuing philosophy as my major in university. I love learning about life’s different concepts/ideas from different perspectives, as well as learning how to construct/analyze arguments properly. Philosophy does require to have an open mind, and that’s what I’ve learned to do. :)

Hello, I was talking around the community and saw that not many players are going for 200m stats I know it may take time but I was wondering what the rewards would be for something like that and it seems you only receive a rank on forums called "geek" I think for something that takes up most of our time it would be great to maybe also receive a certain pet or cosmetic set for the so-called overachiever that grinds for something like this. example Max cape you grind all 99s for it and basically just sit at raids all day or gamble it would be awesome if you put in that time for another achievement that not many have, 

 

Example of cosmetics / pets.

 

- Overachiever Set (untradeable): Overachiever Phat/Hween or equivalent. Overachiever Trousers/Skirt, Overachiever Shirt/Top, Overachiever Gloves, Overachiever shoes/boots, Overachiever Pet, Overachiever Cape (redesign of a 200m cape or so).  

- Requirements: 200m in all Combat and Skilling stats and Achievements, tasks, quests Done

 

- Expedition Set (untradeable): Expedition Mask, Expedition Gloves, Expedition boots, Expedition Cane, Expedition Top, Expedition Bottoms, Expedition Pet, Expeditioner Cape (redesign of a 200m cape or so).

- Requirements: 200m in all Skilling stats excluding slayer, Achievements/tasks/quests done up to the point where you don't have to kill anything or have combat level for.

 

- These are all just examples and ideas may be discussed among the staff and community if they would love to see this added it would be a great way for a new grind and advancements to the server :)
