I havent really seen unagro bosses/monsters before but i have seen alot of lag if the client hits a 6 or 7 day mark, so support for this!

Support. Would be cool for players to know ahead of time when the server resets.

I support this. Weekly at a set time would be a plus in my books.

Support, Server restart can be a great idea to reduce lag/bug.

i do support, because it helps short term, however i think the server stability issues/fps issues/runelite issues need to be addressed. I understand this is allot of work/hard to pin down, but just restarting the server and saying the issue is fixed is not a viable solution. 

I can't see any real downside to this, at least not that I am aware of. Support!

Few months ago I heard something like this would be implemented, would be nice to actually see it soon, support. :)

Hello everyone, welcome to this month's edition of the Alora Newspaper.

 

We’ve had some pretty exciting updates this month with the Theatre of Blood rework, you can read all about them here. As some of you may know, our beloved Mack has gone into retirement. With this change, I will now be taking over the newspaper.

In other news, we hope those who celebrated the 4th of July had some fun this month. We wish a happy 4th of July to our players located within the United States. We also wish an Eid Mubarak to everyone who celebrated the event. Without any further ado let’s kick off the paper!

Let's start off with Kaamea...

 

gim deathkid: What are your plans now that you're maxed XP?

Kaamea: The main goal, for now, is to get a 5th twisted bow as drop, so everyone in our team could have their own and of course passively try to obtain some cool pets.

 

gim deathkid: What does it feel like to be on the greatest GIM team ever to exist on Alora and does it help your dating life? (Question submitted by TenFour).

Kaamea: It feels absolutely amazing and as of right now, no it hasn't helped me yet in my dating life unfortunately.

 

gim deathkid: MT would like to know the story behind you being the head of the Veteran team. Could you possibly give us some insight on this?

Kaamea: I seen someone use that title on a different RSPS, if I'm not wrong his name was Fergus. I used to play a RSPS where the veteran rank was held more superior than staff rank, so kinda ripped it off from there, but overall it is just a meme.

 

gim deathkid: Where does the name "Kaamea" come from?

Kaamea: I was looking for a new name for my Runescape account around 2012 or so. Might be confusing the year, but who cares, and I was mainly looking for a unique name and just came across the word. It honestly describes my personality well too "grisly".

gim deathkid: Can you walk us through your emotions of watching Classic get the Inquisitor’s plateskirt right in front of you?

Code 002: I knew this was going to happen..... Mans RNG is absolutely fking bonkers at NM, I don't really know what I was expecting tbh. What's worse is that we were LITERALLY talking about it waiting for "that kill" to spawn.... Soon as I saw the announcement, my heart sank slightly. Idek what my drop was I just logged out, silenced Discord, Played "The Ghost of You" by My Chemical Romance, and opened up WOW. Of course after blocking Classic for a solid day.

 

gim deathkid: What do you plan on grinding once you’re done with The Nightmare?

Code 002: Well I'm really trying to simultaneously Comp and just get the first set of Inquisitor's on an Ironman Game mode. But after NM, I'd have to say the next two options I'm thinking is either The Gauntlet or CoX. Havn't done that many CoX, recently learned how to solo and was getting the hang of it for those few days.

 

gim deathkid: We’ve had a lot of QoL updates recently, which one do you like best? If you could add another QoL update, what would it be?

Code 002: Honestly my most liked recent QoL would 100% have to be the entirety of Runelite. I spent a good chunk of time using it during OSRS's Twisted League. So having all of these plugins and the plethora of QoL tools makes me feel at home. Now for a QoL I would like to have added is not really a QoL? I just want

 

gim deathkid: What are your long-term goals on Alora? Do you plan on going for max XP?

Code 002: I've always had a fancy for the collection log, so I might pursue that. I'm a man of smaller goals and will usually change my mind last minute before I start another grind.

gim deathkid: What made you stay on the staff team for so long?

MT: I wanted to be the person that players come to when they need help with anything in the game. Also because being Head Server Support helped me be a positive role model for other server supports. I provided them the tools to excel and rise up in the staff team, and it makes me happy to see how much they have grown since joining the staff team.

 

gim deathkid: Do you feel like your role as a Server Support has helped your experience on Alora?

MT: I definitely feel my role as a Server Support has helped my experience on Alora. I feel that I had a positive influence in the community and that’s all I can ask for. I also learned a lot along the way, and met some awesome people.

 

gim deathkid: What does your next chapter include now that you have left Alora? Do you have any plans/goals IRL? 

MT: Now that I have more free time on my hands due to finishing uni a while back, I’m looking to do videos again on my main YouTube channel. I’m not going to do content on “Moral Alora” anymore as I don’t have much interest to play the game these days. As for IRL, I hope to eventually find a better job so I can leave my retail job that I’ve had for over 5 years. Job searching during a pandemic can be quite difficult, without a doubt.

 

gim deathkid: What was your favorite piece of content on Alora?

MT: Flower Poker tournaments on Fridays was pretty fun to do. Was the only way to play FP as staff, and I’ve only won one tournament once because Moe planted for my GIM lol.

What is your suggestion?: I think a lot of the players never have a chance to interact with each-other in an area where everything can be taken with a bit of context, as it's hard to decipher actual emotion/intention through simply PMing someone, or over yell, yet the only platform we have for this; discord- seems to consistently be empty. I think not only would a weekly/bi-weekly karaoke night be full of laughs and fun, but it would let people talk to each-other who would otherwise never have a reason to. I'm sure with a little bit of effort of somebody screensharing a karaoke version of a song with lyrics & audio, it could be pulled off somewhat easily and successfully. 

Is this in OSRS?: No- But it should be!

Has this suggestion been accepted already?: No, and if it was in the past, it should be re-thought!

How would this benefit Alora?: Community interaction, comedic relief, fun.

@J boogs probably bugged me the most. 

What is your suggestion?: Sometimes the only way to check if you're eligible to use another boost is to actually attempt to do it, and it would be nice to have the cooldown timer show in the "show boosts" tab of the quest tab (votes, drop booster, pet booster, raid booster, etc..)

Is this in OSRS?: boosts are not.

Has this suggestion been accepted already?: i don't think so.
