Man, where do I begin...

 

These past few years have been absolutely crazy. 

 

Being a part of the Alora community has been such an amazing journey, I've managed to meet so many amazing individuals along the way that I can truly say I'll miss. Along my journey, I had been fortunate enough to be a part of not only an amazing community called ICE, but also the Alora staff team for almost 2 years. I want to thank all the boys in the team for allowing me an opportunity to work along side you, I can honestly say I gave it my best shot and tried to be fair when situations arised. The countless hours behind the scenes was an absolute eye opener, and to all the boys in the staff team, keep on grinding and best of luck.

 

85 Days game played with little to no AFK/bank standing. With 2 kids, Fiancé, a full time job and trying to stay actively fit for the kids, is something I'm proud of, however this wouldn't have been possible without everyone here, you all made me want to log in each and every day, what an amazing community.

 

Life is ever changing, and as responsibilities and priorities shift, as well as new opportunities. It's my time to say goodbye. Thank you everyone for the countless hours of fun and genuine friendships that have been made.

INTRODUCTION

The first time I discovered Runescape was back in 2008. A neighborhood friend introduced me to the website/game. I remember being in elementary and entering the world of Gielinor for the first time. It was like love at first sight. An instant connection was made and the rabbit hole continued to expand as I grew older. Fifteen years later and this game still draws me back.

Being older now with limited time due to work, I am looking to relive my Runescape experience through Alora (quicker rates). I heard nothing but great things about it's staff and community and chose to give it a shot. It has been about a month since I started Alora (10/20/2023) and have kept up consistently since then. My experience thus far has been phenomenal. 

I am looking forward to meeting as many of you as I possibly can! Shoutout to the staff and development team that have made my experience so far an enjoyable one. 

Support! We shouldn't be making dead content more inconvenient.

I think we already have enough bonusses available, we dont need a boss drop rate boost.
Raids take anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes depending on what raid and what invocs you run.
The average boss kill takes about 1 minute.
+ We already have drop boosters and donor rank drop rate bonus no need for any more.

+1 support "Get good" is a horrible argument. Waiting around for weeks to find some people in my time zone to get a group of people together to do my 5 runs for diaries was hard enough, finding groups for grinding it after was even worse. We can solo/duo the other 2 raids, why not this one? More people would be running it if you only had to find one person, instead of 3-4. I get certain individuals are proud of their accomplishments on a PS, but many of us come on to have fun without grinding as hard as OSRS.

100% agree with this. It's quite overwhelming asking a team that says need +1 tob when you aren't that good in the raid.

 

Honestly I wouldn't mind seeing the normal mode have this lower scaling and hard mode remaining the same with better loot rates.

 

This way the solo/duos can start with normal mode to "git gud" then join the 3-5 players in hard mode for better loot rates. Everyone wins! Well apart from the boosters :kekw:

Nice personal attack, I wonder why you're not welcome to dissenting opinions from your own. The overwhelming majority of support on this thread illustrates a need for this.

Again "just get good" is not an argument when there's nobody running ToB 90% of the time. Why shouldnt high level players just enjoy hardmode and let newer, lesser skilled players have fun in NM with 1 or 2 of their friends instead of needing to find 3 or 4?

It's not just a lack of drive, it's demotivation from the fact that you have to keep 3+ people online for long periods of time often times with repeated wipes as you're learning. Not everyone is inside of a CC, not everyone has high level friends willing to take them.

I understand it can be hard for you and other high level players to emphasize with the perspective of a new player but if alora is meant to grow new players and those not in the high level community should have their opinions heard as they are here in this thread.

ToB is not the hardest content in the game, 500+ invo ToA, inferno, and soon™ DS2 awakened variants are.

Gnomonkeys is also my favorite streamer so at least we have that in common
