That's simply how a free market works. It has been this way since server release. Person owns the eco, buys out end game items, suddenly there's none in the trading post so players that didn't want to sell their gear/older players start dumping more, then players start pvming to get these items since they're more expensive now, and eventually the eco holder stops buying and the price corrects itself. Tldr supply and demand.

I was an eco holder in like 2017 and I remember buying out bandos/prims/ags/zenyte jewellery, the price would double for a few days and then I'd check the TP again and there was like 30 of each item again.

Every time this has happened it's been temporary, we're not going to start pming these eco holders to stop spending their cash.

And to be honest, I like when the prices go up every year or 2. I had bulk amounts of random gear that I didn't really sell because the price was too low until now. Selling Acb's and prims for like 25m each felt kinda shit so most of the time I just kept them.

#485141 Alora's Money Making Guide (2024)

Note: Prices can change, these are the prices at the time the guide is being made. If you have any other ideas or tips please feel free to share.

Starting Out

The first and most important thing you should be doing is voting and selling the vote books you receive. They sell for about 5M a pop and it's a fantastic way to start from scratch or as a new player. You can vote every 12 hours.

Once you have sold the books, go to ::shops and buy some equipment and supplies. Make sure you have some cash left over to buy dragon bones from the trading post(2k each). You need about 100 dragon bones for 99 prayer on a normal account. Ask someone to use their POH altar, After doing this you can afk your stats at sand crabs to get base 70s then start slayer.

Slayer

Now that your account is ready for some training, use the equipment and supplies you bought earlier to train slayer.

Make sure to loot all

Caskets and

Ensouled heads (SELL TO THE SLAYER MASTER) as this is the primary source of cash from Slayer. As you earn more and more money, try and buy gear upgrades such as an abyssal whip, amulet of fury and Dragon boots. Unlock untradeables such as the Dragon Defender from Warriors Guild, the Fighter Torso from Pest Control, and Barrows Gloves from the Recipe for Disaster quest.

Alora Events

Events are hosted during Weekdays(Wednesday & Thursday) and Weekends(Friday, Saturday, Sunday).

To familiarise yourself with the types of events hosted on Alora, read this thread.

If you manage to get lucky and win an event or two, you can make over 100M from less than an hours work. It's important to note that you will need your own equipment to participate in tournaments, but you could ask an Event Manager to loan you some gear such as a Dharok's set for the Dharok's tournament, or a whip for the Whip/DDS tournament. An Event schedule for the entire month is posted at the beginning of every month which you can find here.

Event Threads are posted a day in advance to let the community know what types of events will be hosted. Here's an example.

Skilling

At the beginning I said to sell vote books as you get them. If you feel like you have a decent amount of cash to the point where you don't need to sell your books, you can save and open them (enable ;;2fa before you open the vote books or else you wont get any points). The vote shop has some great skilling equipment such as the

Rogue's Outfit which can be used to receive double loot from pickpocketing. This effect is usually taken advantage of at Vyrewatches (82 Thieving) and Elves(85 Thieving) to acquire double

Blood shards and

Enhanced Teleport Crystals which sell for around 60M and 30M each respectively.

Puro Puro is a hunter area swarmed with many implings. It is highly recommended to catch the Dragon Implings and Lucky Implings. Dragon Bones, Dragon Darts, Dragon Arrows and Ranger Boots can all be sold to players for some great cash. Items such as Dragon Longswords and Mystic armour pieces can be high alched.

Early/Mid Tier PVM

These money makers can be taken advantage of by players with a lack of knowledge of PVM encounters.

Vyrewatches can be AFK'd with high prayer bonus if you have stuff to do outside of Alora, or simply want to play other games, I have made over 1B from caskets alone from 50k kills while doing it on an alt.

Phantom Muspah is a great money maker too because the Venator Shards are quite common, and even the Ancient Essence sells for about 2-3k each.

Godwars bosses except for Zamorak are fairly easy and honestly good money especially if you have 2 alts with prayer bonus gear to tank for you.

If you know how to do Gauntlet its one of the best ways to make money in my opinion, you don't need any supplies or gear to enter the boss, you simply just need quest points and 70s in some stats. guide here.

Armour seeds sell for about 80M and the Enhanced Weapon Seed sells for 400M+. Gauntlet is a great way to start PVM as it introduces you to prayer switching, item switching and movement.

Desert Treasure 2 bosses (Mostly Duke and Vardorvis) are a great way to make money, you do NOT need very high level gear for either boss, Awakener's Orbs are consistent money and sell for roughly 30M. Both rings from these bosses are very expensive and of course Virtus prices are dependant on what the trading post is selling them for really so you'd have to check yourself.

Demonic gorillas can be a great way to make money but I suggest doing these yourself to make your own Zenyte Jewellery. Once you have your own, you can kill more Gorillas and sell the shards.

Skotizo is a great way to make money. Skotizo spawns every 30-45 minutes in various wilderness locations, and can drop Zenyte Jewellery as well as Archaic emblems that you can either sell in the Trading Post, or turn in to the Emblem Trader north of Edgeville bank for PKP and Cash.

Bloody keys spawn around the wilderness at random places and sell fairly often at around 4-5m each, opening the bloody key chest is not worth it even if the keys are free in my opinion. Read this guide to familiarise yourself.

Supply chests spawn around the wilderness at random places which can be opened for some great loot as well. You will need 112 Combat Level and 1M risk to open these. They are by far the most active wilderness activity when it spawns, so try to loot these when the server is less populated.

If you are familiar with Pking and escaping OR you have fast reaction times, Revenants are a great money maker. Player Killers usually like to run through the caves and kill pvmers so be alert at all times.

Endgame PVM

These money makers are for more experienced players, as you'll need some knowledge to kill these consistently.

Nex is probably the best money maker in the game if your account is able to kill it (bowfa with full crystal or zcb minimum) kills only take roughly 4 minutes in trios with best in slot gear. Torva Platelegs alone sell for around 2B.

Tombs of Amascut at level 400 invocation is up there with the best money makers in the entire game. It doesn't rely heavily on Donator rank like Chambers of Xeric does, and you don't need the best equipment in the game as long as you know what you're doing. Considering most drops from tombs are expensive all you need is 1 drop and since tombs isnt as reliant on your rank, its the best one to grind for money if you like doing Raids.

Theatre of Blood is the second best choice for raids but it's second in my opinion because you need a team to be able to do this raid and on alora teams can be hard to come by especially if you are new in the community.

Chambers is last but not least with good gear and some above average skill you can easily complete chambers runs in roughly 11-15 minutes which is very good times for solo, I suggest not spending too much time doing chambers since donator rank has a huge effect on purple chances. It's worth to do on bonus with boosters though.

First progress thread! I will keep this one sweet and short.

I have been playing Alora for a month this coming weekend, and while I have a busy work and social life, I am super happy with my current progression and would love to share it!

Completing some achievement diaries was a pain in the dick, but the majority of my gameplay thus far has been smooth sailing. Special thxs to the staff team and active players in the Alora cc for their assistance along the way.

I am now going to work towards completing the skilling outfits col log, but I will be switching between that and Prayer every once in a while as I am eager to achieve 200m Prayer XP on the account!

#483891 The Leviathan Guide (Normal Mode)

The Leviathan

Getting There:

Use the teleport wizard to Leviathan -> Run East Across the stepping stones -> Continue east to the boat and board the boat -> Climb the handholds to enter fight

If you have received scarred tablet as a drop use the ring of shadow teleport to the scar

The Fight:

Leviathan uses alternating shooting orb attacks than can be countered with the correct overhead prayer. After each of these attack phases simply step one tile away to dodge a rock falling above you.

The green orb indicates protect from range.

The blue orb indicates protect from magic.

The red orb indicates protect from melee.

The Leviathan will also enter enraged phases that can be countered by using shadow barrage to allow for easy kills and longer trips.

Using the shadow barrage will freeze the leviathan allowing you to run to the opposite corner of the arena and shoot its weak spot - thus triggering a special attack.

At the beginning of the fight go through 3 Leviathan attack phases and then use shadow barrage - this will allow you to skip the enraged phase where the attacks are much quicker and harder to correctly pray against.

Lightning Special Attack:

The Leviathan will shoot lightning across the floor but this can be dodged by using the yellow tiles in the fight overview video and timing your run to other yellow tile just before the lightning reaches you.

***Note if you are using the Bowfa instead of the Tbow you will need to move your yellow markers one tile closer on each side since the Bowfa attacks quicker***

Debris/Rock Special Attack:

The Leviathan will throw debris/rocks at you which can be dodged by simply clicking one tile ahead of your character repeatedly until no more rocks are thrown. At the conclusion of the rocks being thrown make sure to hide behind one of the rocks to avoid a blast of smoke that will deal high damage.

After one of these special attacks conclude the normal leviathan attacks resume. For 2 attack phases (instead of 3 phases like when you begin the fight) use your overhead prayers and then again stun the leviathan with shadow barrage, unless you reach under 190 hp left on the boss.

The final enraged phase:

The leviathan will spawn an abyssal pathfinder that you will want to stand under as you complete the kill. The pathfinder will move in a giant square around the boss and you must correctly pray range/mage as you stand in the pathfinder and attack the boss. In the fight overview video the blue tiles indicate the path you will want to follow during this phase.

A toxic blowpipe can be used here to make it a bit easier, along with using a webweaver bow if you wish to use the special attack and bring the fight to an end quicker.

H: Who do you most admire in life?

Charizard: Growing up I always admired celebrities and superheroes. As I’ve grown older I’ve come to admire the adults who’ve raised and supported me in life. My father for helping and teaching me to do good business. My mother for showing me how to be kind.

H: What is a skill you'd like to learn and why?

Charizard: I’ve never learned how to play an instrument and piano is something that I’ve always wanted to play. It’s the most chaotic or relaxing instrument, and I will eventually learn how to play even basic songs.

H: If you could witness any event of the past, present, or future, what would it be?

Charizard: Would have to be something to do with music. Going back and seeing Queen in concert is something I’ve always said I would do if I had the opportunity.

H: Tell us a little about your journey to secure 1st place in the Alora Leagues tournament.

Charizard: Playing Alora leagues was the most fun I’ve had playing a game in 10 years. I’m not one to grind anything video game like anymore but seeing my points go up gave me a reason to keep going. I had intended on stopping at T7, but I was having so much fun doing everything I couldn’t stop. I took no longer than 12 hours without at least playing 1-3 hours after each break. I’ll miss playing leagues, but I am glad it’s over. I’ll need a nice break from grinding like that again.

H: What are your plans for 2024, both in real life and on Alora?

Charizard: I’ve recently started a new GIM on alora with some irl friends, I’ll likely be playing that from here on out as it’s something new and gives a nice challenge compared to my maxed gim. In life I don’t have any major plans. Just enjoying my family and friends when I can. Always aiming to be a better person/husband/father for my wife and kid.

H: Who do you most admire in life?

Fire: I most admire my fiance in life, when life gets hard and is all over the place she's always my constant.

H: What is a skill you'd like to learn and why?

Fire: I'd really like to learn drifting, It is very theraputic to watch and I feel like i'd enjoy it and be at home behind the wheel while sideways.

H: If you could witness any event of the past, present, or future, what would it be?

Fire: I would like to witness the first interaction publicly known with aliens or life from another planet. (as long as its a peaceful meetup)

H: What update would you like to personally see happen?

Fire: I WOULD LOVE to see some custom bosses added with new weapons and armor, nothing wild like AK-47's like other servers have, just reskins with same stats for current weapons, give us anime katanas, new glowing maces, flaming swords, etc. Not saying new power caps but like matches for a fang/rapier that can be achieved without needing a 4 man tob party. :BONUS: please add more boss pets for everyday things, give us a slayer pet (make it like 1/50k from any slayer monster and 1/200k for a transmog crystal or something), a barrows pet.

H: What are your plans for 2024, both in real life and on Alora?

Fire: I plan on working as much overtime as I can and saving for a house, in my spare time I would like to take as many motorcycle trips as I possibly can with my fiance and finally get married this summer. On alora I WANT TO FINALLY GET MY TBOW, 1115 KC DRY BAYBEEEEEEEE.

Hey, I have returned to playing Alora 1 month ago and decided to post and see myself the progress I would have at this month.

Wanted to get at least 2000 total level but I most focused in playing the game than skilling this month, but for sure the focus in the incoming monrth will be at skilling, also because of irl business this month, and in the next, I won't be able to play that much. :Kkomrade:

To end up, I have decided to get Imcando hammer and 5 Pet boosters from Store to train Construction, Thanks to 99 for the motivation, Always thought Construction would be that boring to train but I went from 85 to 99 Construction in like 6 hours yesterday (Roughly saying). :whew:

After spending a good money with planks, vote book and pet boosters, I have decided to gamble to try to get it all back but it ended up very bad, lost "full bank" tbow, anc set, tbody, ghrazi rapier, bunch of coin etc.. yeah, It didn't ended well. :fp:
