Their should be a filter for stuff that doesn't really matter to any players. For example:

 

When i'm trying to help players out its really hard for me to read clan chat when this is continuously going.

Couldn't you just go on the clan chat tab? Since your reading/ helping the clan chat only. It blocks out everything else.

 

Now if you said "It's really hard for me to read chat when this is continuously going." Then yes I would like a filter for that, because I would like to read yell, etc. Without seeing the "You successfully/burn a fish." or whatever skill your doing.

There is a filter for this - it's called "Game->Filter" .... except it doesn't work. Lol.
