Hello everyone, Happy 9-Year Anniversary! A few days ago, we officially entered into our 9th year since Alora first launched. It is a surreal, incredible accomplishment that we've managed to stick around for this long, something nearly unheard of in this RSPS scene, and it's all thanks to our incredible community that has consistently stuck with us and made Alora their second home throughout all of these years. It goes without saying, but we wouldn’t be here without you helping us steer the direction of the server, supporting us through difficult moments (whether it be major bugs or uptime issues), and showing us how much you care about this thing that started off as a small idea over 9 years ago. Whether you’ve been here for nine years or nine days, thank you for believing in us, pushing us, and helping Alora grow into what it is today. Here’s to the past nine years — and to the many more ahead! :withlove: Mobile updates: A music button for the login screen has been added, and your preference will be remembered. We have pushed a fix to prevent the "flashing UI" issue that sometimes showed up for players and made the game unplayable. Halloween items: Speak to Postie Pete at home to claim the Grim reaper top, bottom and gloves, along with the Spooky halloween lantern. Anniversary event: To celebrate our 9-year anniversary, grab a slice of cake at home or at ::event, and have a word with Party Pete to claim your Classic imp hood & tail! Forestry Kit: The forestry kit can now be purchased from the Forester for 1 anima-infused bark. This is a cape-slot item that can store anima-infused bark and Forester’s rations. If the kit is equipped, it will automatically store anima-infused bark the player obtains while woodcutting, and will automatically consume Forester’s rations if they are using a felling axe. Clothes pouch blueprint: This is a new Forestry collection log item that can be purchased from the Forester for 10,000 Anima-infused bark. It can be combined with the Forestry kit if the player has at least 50 Crafting and Woodcutting. After it has been added to the Forestry Kit, the player will be able to store the lumberjack/forestry set in the kit, as well as the woodcutting skillcape. When the Forestry kit is equipped, the bonuses from these items will be automatically applied. So players will get the bonus experience from the forestry/lumberjack set pieces without needing to equip the entire outfit. This also applies to the Woodcutting cape bird nest boost. The Forestry Kit can be stored in the POH costume room Magic wardrobe. Donator Perks Visibility: Clicking on the player’s rank in the Server statistics tab, or typing the ::perks command will now give the player an option to view all of their active donator perks. Players will also have the option to browse all donator perks available by rank. The active perks will not show the same perk from a lower tier. For example, if the player is a Master donator, they will only see 30% chance of an extra item from raids for that perk, since it is the highest active boost given the player’s rank. Quality of Life: The special attack orb can now be used in PvP encounters. Players can now repair noted broken barrows pieces with bob. The charging sound will now continue playing during the fight with the Doom of Mokhaiotl when it is in the car phase. The ancient godsword special attack will no longer highlight npc’s larger than 1x1. The ancient godsword special attack will no use the closest tile of the enemy to determine the distance. Previously, the south-west tile would be used, so for many larger npc’s they would often easily be 5 tiles away from the player after they used their special attack. It will now check based on the closest tile to the player. The ancient godsword and saradomin godsword special attacks will now work when used against the Doom of Mokhaiotl during its shield phase. The damage dealt will still be 0 (resisted by its shield), but the effect will still apply based on the damage that would have been dealt. Players will no longer attack doom without delay with range/mage during its melee punish phase. This will only work for melee weapons. Adjusted the Zaryte crossbow special attack projectile to move a bit slower. The zaryte crossbow special attack now plays the correct sound effect. Ruby/sapphire/emerald bolts (e) now use their own unique sound effect when their special effect is triggered. Adjusted chat colours for summoning thralls, death charge, mark of darkness, soul flame horn, and Yama. The ::maxhit command will now calculate magic DPS when attacking an npc and using the command. Changed the "Ancient wyverns" slayer task to the "Fossil Island wyverns" slayer task. Fossil island wyverns include Ancient Wyverns, long-tailed wyverns, taloned wyverns, and spitting wyverns on fossil island. Players who currently have an Ancient wyverns task can still complete it normally. Players with the Immortal donator status or higher can now enter the Colosseum training without using a training ticket. Vengeance will no longer be removed when entering the Gauntlet. Viewing another player's collection log will take players to the Overview interface first. Players will now obtain grimy snapdragons from the Kingdom of Miscellania. Players will be eligible to receive up to 5 snapdragons per day with 10 workers allocated to herbs. Trident of the Seas drop rate changes: The Trident of the seas has had its drop rate increased from both the Kraken boss and the Cave krakens. The base rates are now 1/416 from Cave Krakens, and 1/162 from the Kraken boss. The completionist cape (g) will now be shown with the other completionist capes in the Transformation interface. Eternal donators now have an option to be re-assigned their previous task when speaking to a slayer master. Players will now be notified when a dark totem piece drops from non-superior mobs in the Catacombs of Kourend. Bug Fixes: Fixed a bug where the Yama Divine severance contract would cause prayers to turn off after 1 tick if the player already had any prayer active. It will now always turn off protection prayers after 3 ticks (increased from 2). Yama will now only attack at 7 tick attack speed rather than 6 ticks during sigil contracts in phase 3. Fixed a bug where the inventory would not refresh when purchasing items from the mixology shop. The Mixology vote book bonus now says "Mixology Points" instead of "Mixology Resin". Fixed a bug where the Mokhaiotl drift task was not completable. Fixed a bug where the Zaryte crossbow was using the normal crossbow animation for it's special attack. Fixed a bug where returning to the Guardians of the rift area from a runecrafting altar would cause the shield healthbars to be empty until an abyssal creature attacked the shield. Fixed an issue where leaving the fight caves/inferno would reset a player’s autocast. This also caused an issue with built-in spell staves. Fixed a bug where relogging during the fight caves would restore player’s hitpoints and prayer. This will also fix an issue where logging back in would cause players to staff bash with built-in spell staves, such as tridents. Dragon hunter weapons now deal bonus damage/accuracy against wyverns. Fixed a bug where the moons of peril "high hitter" combat achievement was requiring players kill the moon before it used 1 special attack rather than 2. Fixed a bug where the ruby bolt (e) special effect was draining double the hitpoints that it should. Fixed a bug where the dark bow (deadman) did not consume any special attack energy.
