Hello everyone, The Cow boss is now live! You'll find many different rewards from this low-level boss, including the Beef pet and Cow slippers. For those of you looking for even more of a challenge, you can take on Demonic Brutus for a chance at Cow slippers. We've also released the latest skill guide interface & music tab from OSRS, allowing you to have a more convenient toggle-able skill guide, as well as the ability to create playlists for your favorite music tracks. In addition, we have changed the way killtime is counted and stored, meaning that you can now enable precise timing to show you the exact number of game ticks you took to kill a boss (eg. 1.8 seconds, 3 ticks) rather than just rounding up or down. Also, Elite Ironman can now purchase EIM partner swap tickets from the store to conveniently change partners should their partner disappear on them. We also have some very exciting news coming very soon -- keep an eye out for a dev blog in the next few days! Store changes: Elite partner swap ticket: The EIM partner swap ticket has been added to allow players to choose to partner up with a new EIM player. This ticket can be purchased for 500 tokens, and the prospective partner must be online to accept your request. Mobile changes: Android: The ’m’, ’b’, and 'k' keys when entering numbers (eg. 1b, 10m, etc) will now work properly when entering them from an Android keyboard. The "fill password" and "credit card" buttons above the keyboard will no longer appear. The Cow Boss: Brutus You can now take on the Cow boss, a low-level friendly boss that anyone can challenge. Or, for those of you looking for a harder challenge, you can also attempt to fight Demonic Brutus (provided you've completed Desert Treasure II). Brutus: Mechanics: Brutus has two special attacks: Slam and Charge. Slam: Brutus will face you and slam the ground in your direction, creating a V-shape target area where you must step away from to avoid being hit. Charge: If you see Brutus preparing to charge, you have a second or two to run out of the way to avoid being hit. Rewards: Cow slippers You can swap between 3 different common color ways, with a rare chance of unlocking the 4th colorway. You can spam-click the swap option, as once you obtain the rare color way it will show you a warning before swapping to another color. Beef pet A mini version of Brutus, it has two interaction options: Emote: Beef will "sniff" the air most of the time, with a rare chance of doing a whirlwind animation. Moo: Beef will "moo", as well as a nearby cow (if there are any). Mooleta An off-hand defender with similar bonuses to a steel defender, but more fashionable. Cowbell amulet Can be charged with up to 1,000 air runes to allow you to teleport directly to the center of the Lumbridge cow field (a nearby cow might "moo" when you appear". Allows you to milk dairy cows in 6 ticks instead of 7 ticks while equipped. Allows you to "ring" the amulet to respawn Brutus more quickly (13 ticks, or 7.8s, rather than the usual 36 ticks (21.6s). Bottomless milk bucket You can store up to 1,000 doses of milk in this bucket, either by filling using milk buckets from your inventory, or taking the bottomless bucket straight to the dairy cow. Raw T-bone steak Restores 9 hitpoints, as well as a +2 Strength boost. Bull bones Cannot be looted, only has a "Bury" option while it is on the ground. Provides 40 Prayer experience. A warning will be issues the first time you click to bury these (in case a player assumes they will be picked up first). You can either cancel the burial, or proceed, or proceed without warning again in the future. Demonic Brutus: Mechanics: Similar to standard Brutus, Demonic Brutus has the same special attacks, although there are 4 Brutus' that appear for each special attack, making it significantly harder to dodge (with much more damage to take if you fail to dodge the attacks). At the 66% HP threshold, his attacks will be quicker, requiring more coordination. At the 33% HP threshold, his attacks will have a reversed order (counter-clockwise). After bringing Demonic Brutus down to 0 hitpoints, he will heal up 487 hitpoints (out of 750) and begin phase 2 of the fight. Rewards: The primary reason to kill Demonic Brutus is to obtain the Brutus slippers, a more visually impressive demonic-themed version of the cow slippers. You will obtain these 100% of the time. In addition, the only other drop on Demonic Brutus' table is the Beef pet, which comes in at a lower rate (1/273) vs (1/683) Brutus rate. Killtime changes: Mechanism: We have slightly changed the way killtime is determined on bosses, so that it doesn't include the death animation of the NPC (some have extremely long animations before the kill time is registered), and it begins counting the moment you click on the NPC to attack it (as opposed to when you animate your attack). This is more similar to OSRS. It is also now based on game ticks, rather than timestamps. This means two things: firstly, that it is more accurate, and even if the game is lagging and freezes for 10 seconds (eg. Because of a DDOS attack), your killtime won't go up during the 10 second lag spike, because the game wasn't incrementing ticks. Secondly, it means that we can now have more accurate killtime, rather than just showing you "5 seconds" as your killtime, we can show 5.40 seconds (9 ticks) if you prefer. In addition, we've cleaned up the way time is displayed: Before: 00:04 (4 seconds) After: 0:04 (4 seconds) OR 0:04.80 (4.8 seconds with precise timing enabled) Precision setting: If you open the settings interface and navigate to "Gameplay" you will now see the "Enable precise timing setting" to have the game output more (or less) precise timing (turned on by default). Impact: This means that we will likely see many boss records being shattered, due to the ability to get a slightly faster killtime with this new system. In addition, because we were rounding down the kill-time previously (eg. If the kill took you 10.999 seconds, we logged it as 10 seconds), your existing killtimes will be rounded up a little bit (1 second max) to account for the lack of precision previously. Gauntlet Dangerous Death: If an HCUIM or HCGIM dies in the Gauntlet, it will now be considered a dangerous death, causing you to lose your Hardcore status. You will receive a big red warning before entering (every time), you can also choose to mute this warning. Skill Guides Update: Players can now use a newer version of the skill guides interface. This is enabled by default, but for those who preferred the old skill guides, it can be reverted by opening the settings interface and toggling the “New skill guides” option in the Interfaces tab. This new interface offers a cleaner view skill guides, showing requirements and providing back-links to wiki guides. When a player levels up a skill, if they are using the new skill guides, the icon for the skill they’ve just levelled will begin to flash until they open the skill guide. Once the skill guide is open, the player will be able to see all of the new things they unlocked by reaching that new skill level. This will stack if the player has not opened the skill guide in multiple levels. Music Interface Changes: The music interface has been updated to now include some different buttons, and playlist options. Area Mode Button: This is similar to the previous “Auto” button, which will play area music. Shuffle button: This will shuffle the music list, playing random songs. Single Mode: This will lock the track to the current track being played, causing it to repeat when it ends. Skip Track: This is only available on shuffle mode, and will skip to the next track. Playlists: Players can now create up to 3 playlists, each containing up to 100 music tracks. To add a track to the playlist, simply right-click an unlocked track and add it to one of the 3 playlists. Similarly, right-clicking a track will show the option to remove it from any playlists it is already in. Players can use the shuffle or single mode in the playlists. Home Teleport Randomization: There is now an option in the Home teleport selection interface to select a random home teleport animation. This will only show up if the player has at least 2 home teleport animations (including the default one). When this option is selected, it will select a random home teleport animation that the player has unlocked whenever they use the home teleport. Chatbox Typing Changes: Players can now type strings that are over 50% longer. Previously, the client would limit the amount of letter that a player could type up to 80 characters. This limit has been increased to 125 characters. When a player begins typing longer messages, the message they are typing will be shifted over to the left to show the most recent characters typed. For example, if the message was “Omicron: Lowkey is bald and has” and it got too long, it would show up as “Omicron: …wkey is bald and has no hair”. Overhead chat: To accommodate this increase in message length, overhead chat messages will now be split into 2 lines if the message gets too long, rather than 1 very long overhead message. Quality of Life: Players can now make a crystal felling axe at the singing bowl if they have a dragon felling axe, a crystal tool seed, and 120 crystal shards. The mimic pet drop rate is now slightly higher from killing the mimic. The mimic pet can now be obtained at a 1/300 (1/240 for clue boosters) rate when opening master clue scroll caskets. You can now right-click logs on the floor to "Light" them, provided you have a tinderbox, bow or gnomish firelighter in your inventory. The guaranteed hard clue obtained from killing Skotizo will now drop to the ground as a scroll box. The order of dark totem drops will now always be top->middle->base assuming that the player has an equal amount of top/middle/base components in their inventory. For example, if the player has 3 tops, 3 middles, and 1 base, they will 2 base drops back-to-back before getting another top as their 3rd drop. Adjusted the exchange value of certain items that are not traded on the trading post often, such as 3rd age druidic, Christmas crackers, etc.. The moons of peril have had their accuracy nerf increased from a 25% decrease to a 30% decrease. Yama supply drop changes: Yama supply drops will now contain 3-4 pieces of food (either wild pies or pineapple pizzas), 2 restoration potions (either prayer potion (3) or Super restore (2)), and 1 boosting potion (either super combat (1) or Zamora brew (2)). Previously players would only get one item when they hit the supply drop table. A new elite clue scroll step to bow in the legend’s build with a legend’s cape, dragon battle axe, and amulet of glory equipped has been added. The corresponding STASH unit has also been added, requiring level 77 construction to use. Mining gloves now cost 40 unidentified minerals instead of 60. Upgrading superior mining gloves to expert mining gloves now only costs 40 unidentified minerals instead of 60. The Chugging barrel can now be disassembled if to become a tradable item. Players will be warned that all potion doses stored within it will be lost when disassembling the chugging barrel, if it contains any. The items in loot keys will now be sorted from highest total value to lowest. Players can now get clue scrolls when using the sacrifice option on the royal titan corpses. The quetzal whistle's "Signal" option will now open up the interface to teleport to one of the quetzal sites. Players can now purchase a looting bag from the slayer rewards shop for 20 slayer points. The looting bag will now drop from any npc in the wilderness ranging from a 1/3 to a 1/5 drop rate. This will only happen if the player does not already have a looting bag in their bank/inventory. This is also now properly a tertiary drop, so it will no longer override any loot the player otherwise would have gotten. Players can now store Dragon Boots (g) in the POH costume room hard treasure chest. Players can now sacrifice less than 100 bone shards at a time to the libation bowl. Players can now recharge dragonstone jewellery in the Fountain of Uhld. Players who have not completed dragon slayer 2 will now be transported to the metal dragon laboratory when entering the myth’s guild dungeon. Players can now use the stash unit on white wolf mountain. Increased the drop rate of yama contracts from demons in the chasm of fire. Cow calfs now sadly count towards the Cow slayer task. Shortened the yell title of Ultimate ironman to show up as “Ult. Ironman”. Locking your FPS to a specific value will now be more precise. For example, previously, locking FPS to 60 may have resulting in 62-63 FPS. Well of Goodwill has been visually updated to use the original model OSRS used for their well before removing it in 2016. Bug Fixes: Fixed a bug where the combat interface was not showing the weapon category correctly. Fixed a bug where a player’s facing direction would always be south when they appeared. Fixed a bug where players could not right-click the alchemy spells to adjust the warnings. Echo Ahrim's staff can now autocast Ancient Magicks spells as intended. NPC Drop Searcher will now properly factor in 2.5x higher rate for Aranea boots when on-task (Araxyte). Fixed a bug where Ruptura araxytes would give slayer experience and dreadborn araxytes would not. Fixed a bug where the NPC dialogue for Theatre of Blood and Chambers of Xeric cape claiming was not providing the correct killcounts requirements. The Darklight is no longer tradable. Fixed a bug where sometimes npc loot overlays would show too many items on the ground. This generally occurred when an npc dropped the same item twice, and the ground item plugin would show more of that item than had actually dropped. Fixed a bug where the loot tracker was double-counting Skotizo kills. Fixed a bug where players would see “:tradeMsg:” at the start of some messages regarding items dropped on the floor. Fixed a clipping issue on the Myth’s guild top floor. Vengeance will now do a minimum of 1 damage when triggered. Fixed a bug where some widget overlays were not draggable properly, and would sometimes bounce around the canvas. Fixed a bug where the corrupt scavenger would sometimes just die upon entering the room in solo/duo chambers of xeric raids. Fixed an issue with the Larva tracker plugin not working properly. Fixed a bug where one of the obstacles in the Falador agility course would sometimes cause the player’s position to be visually incorrect after executing the obstacle. Fixed a bug where the “Remember username” button on the login screen would always appear to be toggled on, even when it wasn’t when the player started their client or logged out. It should now always reflect the correct state. Fixed a bug where players could sometimes get stuck on the Colossal worm agility course if they clicked the final lap obstacle too early. Fixed a bug where the royal titan's elementals would sometimes appear with the royal titan model. Fixed a bug where npc killtime records were sometimes not being announced. Fixed a bug that was forcing bald people to have hair. Corporeal beast’s maximum hit with melee is now 33 instead of 51. Fixed a bug where players would sometimes get brimstone keys when killing wilderness bosses. The frozen half of key has been added to the ice fiends drop table Fixed a bug where players could get duplicate abyssal bludgeon components from the font of consumption if the pieces were in their nightmare death storage. Adjusted the way untradable combination xsitem protection values are calculated. For example, an item like Avernic treads (max), which is untradable, is made up of a very valuable (but also untradable) pair of avernic treads, and a set of Cerberus boots. We will now calculate the total value of all tradable inputs to determine the value of the item. So avernic treads max will now correctly value the boots at the exchange price of all 3 Cerberus boots, and the base Avernic treads. Fixed a bug where the royal titans would sometimes use elemental blast twice when phase transitioning. Fire giants now have a 100% weakness to water rather than 50%. Fixed a bug where players would get sometimes get knocked onto an un-walkable tile during the fight with Doom. Fixed a bug where Bloats falling hands attack would sometimes have delayed damage until after he woke up, causing “invisible hits” to apply. Fixed an issue where trying to drag runelite overlays at higher framerates would sometimes lead to misclicks. Fixed a bug where zooming out on the world map too much with a larger sized client would cause drastic FPS drops. Fixed a bug where the tooltip in the top left would sometimes flicker at higher frame rates. Fixed a bug with the Colossal wyrm agility course floor visibility on Low detail mode. Fixed a bug where a shark fishing spit in the avium savannah would walk around. Players can now drop the christmas box on the floor. Fixed a bug where Yama would sometimes melee players when they returned from the Judge phase even if they were out of melee range. Fixed a bug with the Clockwork suit looking visually glitched. It will now also use the correct run and walk animations (running includes sliding along the ground). Fixed a bug where cave krakens would show up on the loot tracker as Whirlpools. Fixed a bug where item sprites would sometimes shrink to very small sizes. The desert disguise will now use the correct equipment slot. 3rd age druidic robes no longer require 65 defence to equip. Fixed a bug where players could not change their home teleport animation by right-clicking the spell. Fixed a bug where players could still not use the chugging barrel near a banker npc. Fixed a rare bug where players would sometimes crash when teleporting to an area where other players were in combat with a boss. Fixed a bug where the slayer plugin task count overlay would not show up on the hooded slayer helm. Fixed a bug where looking up a hardcore ultimate ironman on the hiscores plugin would not show their rank or exp multiplier. Removed incorrect npc spawns in lumbridge castle. Fixed a bug where players could not configure the default teleport options for Varrock/Camelot. Fixed a bug where player/npc outlines were sometimes offset. Fixed a bug where npc hull overlays were offset incorrectly. Fixed a bug where players could use the same falador gap jump shortcut repeatedly. Fixed a bug with Spiritual mage attack speed. Dragon bones can now be noted by the Immortal donator perk. Regards, Omicron
