Summer's finally here, and I came up with a few event ideas that I'd personally love to participate in or watch for some entertainment over the next few months. If anyone else has ideas, feel free to share them in this thread.
King of the Skill
The last King of the Skill was about 8 years ago(?) Since then, skilling has evolved quite a bit with all the new training methods that have been added. It’s a straightforward but enjoyable competition, and it could be a fun way to give players something competitive to do while waiting for larger events like Leagues.
For those who haven’t heard of King of the Skill, it’s a temp game mode where players compete to gain as much xp as possible or reach the highest total level over 24 hrs of playtime.
Forum Scavenger Hunt
The host posts a series of questions, riddles, or clues, and participants race to find the answers by searching through forum pages, threads, categories, or archived posts. Whether it's tracking down information, images, or specific links, the goal is to find everything as quickly as possible. The first person or team to complete the challenge and submit the correct answers wins the reward.
Staff vs. Community Castle Wars
A special Castle Wars event, where the staff team will battle against the entire community across a series of Castle Wars games.
To keep things interesting, staff members will enter each game with boosted HP and Defence, giving them a significant advantage on the battlefield.
The challenge is pretty simple... If the community can win more matches than the staff by the end of the event, everyone will unlock a weekend of bonus perks and boosts across a variety of in-game activities.
Duo PvP Tournament Clan Wars
16 teams of 2 will be randomly seeded into a single-elimination bracket, with each team facing off against another for a spot in the next round.
Success won't come from skill alone, as communication, coordination, and trust in teammates will be just as important. Every match brings higher stakes as the competition narrows down to the final contenders.
The top 3 teams standing at the end of the tournament will earn rewards and bragging rights as Alora's best duos.
FashionScape
The host invites everyone to their PoH and asks them to show up in their best FashionScape outfit. Throughout the event, the host gradually removes their least favourite looks until only 10-20 participants remain. Once the top 10-20 have been chosen, more staff members join the judging panel to help decide the final 3 winners, who will then receive prizes.
Prop Hunt
This event was suggested by H earlier today. Whether it was intended as a serious idea or a joke, it has the potential to be a highly entertaining and engaging event.
The host will announce a large region somewhere in the game world. Within that area, several staff members will be hiding, but not as their standard characters. Instead, they will disguise themselves as objects, NPCs, or other entities found in the original game.
Our goal is to search the region, locate the hidden staff members, and be the first player to trade with them. Each hidden staff member can only reward the first player who successfully finds and trades them.
