Today I will be teaching you how to do Maggot King. I've never made a guide before, but I thought it would be helpful for people since this is a new boss.
Gear : Ranged gear with a 4-way melee switch (I use a hybrid setup)

Inventory : Here's everything I bring, SRA seems to work best as you need crush for this fight. Restores because there's a part in the fight where if you could potentially lose combat stats. Then the rest food.

Location : Vampyrium
Fight Mechanics :
- For the first part youre going to pray ranged. As he attacks you, just move one or two spaces over to avoid the poison splats. He will shoot poison at you, then shadows will hover where the poison is about to land, just walk to the space without a shadow. To be 100% safe you can just move 2 tiles over and the splat will never touch you.
- After he throws poison a few times, he will begin to go into an enraged phase where wind starts swirling around him, as soon as this happens you need to turn off overhead prayers otherwise you will take a lot of damage. He will then 90% of the time fling a maggot at you, which you will need to immediately range as it's flying through the air. This will 1 hit kill it. After this, rocks will fall. Just make sure you aren't standing under them as they're falling.
- Once the rocks fall, you can switch to praying against mage. After every enraged phase it'll be the opposite prayer that you were using before. Range - Mage - Range - Mage - etc. Once you get the boss to 65% HP or below, the next time he has an enraged phase it will be time to switch to your melee gear.
- In order to avoid getting hit during the melee phase, you will need to move 2 tiles to the left or right of his midsection every time he attacks, then spam click him to attack, then move 2 tiles over again when he attacks. The reason you spam click him is because you'll be able to get 2 hits on him immediately. I have no idea why, but it works. If you do not get him below 20% HP before he goes into another enraged phase, you will need to switch back to ranged and do the same thing you did before. Then he will go back into the enraged phase, and you'll be able to go back to melee.
