What is your suggestion?:

Make it so skilling related minigame boss pets are 15x more common post 200m xp in the skill it trains.

To be specific, these minigame bosses:

*Tiny Tempor: Tempoross (post 200m fishing)

*Abyssal protector: Guardians of the rift (post 200m rcing)

*Smolcano: Zalcano (post 200m mining)

Is this in OSRS?:

No, but wintertodt is, and i personally feel like these are almost the same content, it feels weird to me why jagex decided to put 1 but not the rest. I think we can fix that on alora.

How would this benefit Alora?:

First let me state that Omicron has said he would be willing to change the proposed drop rates with enough support (screenshot below):

53dDMhG.png

I don't understand why Jagex decided to make the Phoenix 15x more common on OSRS post 200m fming xp, while listing it on the bossing section of the collection log, but didn't do this for the rest of the skilling minigame type content (like the ones I listed).

I think this is a chance for Alora to fix this wrong and adding them all, speaking to some of the high level community members and collection loggers, they aren't opposed to following what they did with Wintertodt, especially since it's a lot easier to run KC's constantly on OSRS with the thousands of active players on there vs Alora.

Man came with receipts.

I don't see any reason why not tbh, especially if Phoenix is that way on osrs and is going to be added here.

My opinion, these pets are a mini-game specific rewards. I don’t think they should be linked to a 200m skilling exp boost as traditional pets are ie. Fishing - Heron and Runecrafting - Rift Guardian.
On the other hand with wintertodt, I think k that works because that’s the only pet for the skill Firemaking.

This can be a dangerous path to go down as you could argue Slayer Bosses (Hydra, Cerb, Snole devil etc) should have 15x pet drop after 200m slayer.

This is just how I see it.

I see what you're saying, but the interaction is completely different. Those require actual combat, while the others are simply minigames just like Wintertodt. Having it being limited to 1 pet per skill also doesn't make since, Hunter has quetzin and baby chinchompa for example

How would this work or be fair across game modes though?

A normie that spent 10 hours getting 200m mining shouldn't be given more favorable drop rates than a GIM that spent 100 hours getting 200m mining.

If anything, the drop rates might need to be adjusted so they're not as painful

Well this is already a thing for phoenix and quetzil for example, so this just falls in line with those. Players who pick higher xp rates are picking an easier version of the game, so that also makes sense for it. Also, it only effects pet drop rate, not any other item on their drop table, so the only advantage is in a cosmetic pet.

Also normal players (and classic/realism) can already buy certain pets, like jad pet, by buying emblems, trading them in for fire capes, and gambling them, so if anything there's already grinds for a lot of the player base that isn't being balanced across game modes, and I think that's just the nature of Alora, this just falls in line with that.

Fully support this decision, it represents a meaningful step forward for pet hunters. Improvements like this contribute positively to the overall game experience.

Absolutely support this and the reasoning is the exact same as the proposed reasons from @vari

Great suggestion.

I don't see why one pet should follow this ideal and not the rest. As for the argument that boss pets could be made easier to get after 200m slayer, come on. Players look at these suggestions ready to tear them down. No one is going to make any boss pets easier to obtain, nor is it going to pass "inspection". These are mini game pets. I think it's a great suggestion Variant.

Support. Should bring it in line with the other skilling pets as mentioned.

I can see both sides of the argument here. I understand that having 200M in xp gives you a 15x chance at the skilling pet, but these aren't necessarily skilling pets in the typical manner. That said, I can't see any negative from it. Realistically, if someone wants the pet, they can either rush 200M and then enjoy the increased rate, or do that minigame to earn xp moving towards 200M anyway.

I support it.

I honestly wouldn't have suggested this if OSRS didn't do this with Wintertodt already, but seeing as they did, I don't see why they do 1 and not the other minigame pets. I personally consider 'boss pets' to be ones you have to be in some sort of combat with, not ones where you drain xp doing other types of activities, although Zalcano i was hesitant to put on this list because that to me does feel more like a boss encounter, after speaking with  some people they did say it's probably best to just add it on there now, instead of have people complain later, and if it passes or not, at least it was posted.
