What is your suggestion?: Have the ability to dismiss pets to remove them.

Is this in OSRS?: Don't think so? Honestly no idea, haven't played osrs in like 3 years

Has this suggestion been accepted already?: Well, it's currently not a feature so don't believe so.

How would this benefit Alora?: This could greatly improve the qol at minimum the new HCUIM game mode since the only way to get rid of a pet is to die, or alch the thing. With the abundance of skilling pets it's quite annoying to have to stop what we're doing to get rid of the skilling pet.

I like, could even do something where you can toggle dupe pet drops.

While one could argue that ::empty exists, the method itself creates a ton of edge cases. The ability to right click the pet to dismiss it also does so, where the player may get their first pet, the beastly coxillian or something like that, and accidently dismiss it.

A confirm screen would solve this for the most part.

I support. Another option would be to allow you to turn off pet drops once you’ve obtained. Not sure if this would be feasible but I could see it being beneficial for certain game types.

Not fiesable for UIM's who have the looting bag, or in the game mode specific HCUIM where we literally cannot die for storage (since it's in our looting bag).

Like I understand that this is likely tailored towards a very specific game mode, but it has its benefits for everyone.

I'm sure something like this would be easy to implement and would be a nice qol.

While I agree with you, ummmm, well...... you'd be surprised. You're essentially trading an inconvenience, for an actual problem at that point.
You could almost tho, add something like a pet storage that doesn’t affect any other inventories, where you right click, “send to pet inventory”. Where a pet Inventory could be any type of storage concept, I haven’t thought that out.
Or maybe, probita collects dismissed pets, and holds them, instead of sending them to the void.

I wouldn’t be surprised but at some point, the onus is on the player to read the confirm screen.

I do like the idea of pet storage though. RS3 had a menagerie once in the poh before they removed pets as physical items. Could be a neat interface here. Would be kind of custom though so not sure how doable.

The menagerie does exist in the POH in Alora. Problem is, the max one which holds unlimited requires a magic stone. And it only holds one of that kind. So you can't put in dupes.

(My POH is like 2 rooms and enough to get 99 lol)

Hearing that, that would be a cool perk to some degree. If the coding is there, wonder how difficult it would be to up the store limit since pets are physical items?

The item number wouldn't be the issue. I think it would be an entity number issue since they roam your POH.

It’s probably been 15 years since I actually used the menagerie in actual RuneScape. Wasn’t there a cap on how many displayed roaming around?

Not sure from a coding side but a clean way to do this would be to have the actual pet house act like a bank for pets allowing quantities of the physical item than have the poh only display 1 of each pet in the game world (ie, your POH as an entity). Since the idea behind this suggestion is QOL, I don’t particularly care about how it would be implemented but more ease of implementation. If a right click dismiss option is the easier (and less disruptive) path, that would be the one I’d support. Same with treating menagerie as a storage unit.

You can get rid of the pets in your inventory by speaking to Probita south of ::home
