Wilderness Bounty/Skilling

The bh system is kind of broken in the sense that people get targets who are skilling @ black chins quite often. This leads to 2 problems. The annoyance of being hunted as a skiller for emblem upgrades, and as a bounty hunter you get no drops or emblem upgrades because the skiller very rarely carries wealth large enough to upgrade them.

 

My Suggestion is to add a "on/off bounty" toggle that would allow skillers to opt out of getting bounty targets.

 

It may seem way out there, but realistically in osrs there is only one bounty world, and all other worlds do not provide bounties.

 

We do not have enough players in order to open up a second world imo, so a on/off bounty toggle would be your easiest solution I would think.

No support. Skillers shouldn't be able to hide away from targets, if skiller are fed up of pkers having them as a target and coming to kill them, perhaps they shouldn't be skilling in the wilderness.

 

For the pkers side of it, does the target system give you a wealth guide of your target? "Low Risk, Medium Risk, High Risk, etc.. If it does, then Idk, maybe you're able to work out if someone is a skiller by using that? Then they can just log out to reset the target.

 

If there is a wealth thing for your target, possibly a "No Risk" so you know it's not worth killing that person as you won't be getting any PKP.

I support actually since if you're skilling in the wild and you toggle off it's not like you're invisible to PKers, you just don't lead them to you RIGHT AWAY. Let's be honest... A lot of people camp and periodically check up on the skilling areas in the wilderness so why do we need to make their lives as easy as a three dollar prostitute with instant announcements as soon as a skiller wants to gain a level or two, especially with overcrowding of red chins in the DZ and outside of it during peak times like BXP weekend or just peak times when most people are playing

This makes full sense and is fair enough, but I'd feel the people who are slaying in the wilderness, the one's who would have a risk and give PKP and such would also just toggle this off so they can't be instantly found and attacked. There's been numerous times I've been put as someone's target while slaying and they teleport too me and tried to kill me. If I die, I would drop any slayer drops I would of picked up and give that person PKP. If this feature was possible, he would of never known about me for that chance.

 

^ This would also be a downside for PKers?

 

This is what kind of pushed me away more so.

I see the negative of this for PKers... I wish there was a way of maybe creating a safe area in terms of "no bounties in this area" for the wildy resource area and black chins spots ONLY so you'd still have to search for the skillers if you really wanted to kill them but it wouldn't be that hard because they are small areas AND all people slaying would still be at risk since it's based on areas and not toggling. I don't know how easy that is to code though but in a perfect world!

^ I like the sound of that.. Or the bounty system to work, could even have it so you needed to risk the same amount of GP you need to risk to give PKP on death.
