Have you ever done about 100 raids and still gotten no good drop?

You ever feel like it's not worth spending 25 minutes in mass raids just to get 20 herbs and 1k pure essence?

If the answers to those questions were no, you probably don't raid too much.

I thought a great way to help this was to make every raid give you a certain amount of points and after, say, every 80th raid (could even take your raids damage points into consideration when giving you random raids drop points), you could get a random guaranteed drop from the Mountain Guide (would work the same way as regular drops work e.g. Twisted bow would still be super rare but Elder Mauls and such items would not be).

It would work pretty much like Barrows points currently work.

What do you think?

(EDIT: It would probably be best if you didn't get raids item drops from the raids but just random stuff like from PKP shop

Also none of this would be needed if points actually mattered in raids :(   )

Considering that this server is based as much as possible on OSRS, I'd just say do more raids...80 dry isn't crazy.

Raid points sound like a cool system, gaining points based on dmg in the raid, and the mountain guide could be a shop. But only if avg amount of raids would give the same amount of points as the DR of the items.

Sound like dungeoneering imo, not really liking this idea, it's RNG and that makes it fun, sorry but no support.

Sorry, as stated above, i dont see a point in this, as raids is meant to be hard, and not a just an easy farm, look at the price of barrows, then look a tthe price of raids items, theres a reason for this.

Aye I understand you and you've convinced me, I get where you're coming from but as I've now edited, good raiders should be rewarded more.

Right now thieving is a much more solid / many times better money-making method than raids, which is like the most high-end content.

But the aspect of raids is, go big or go home, basic drops from raids are garbage, but when you hit that table you hit that table :o just my opinion and skilling methods such as thieving will always be more consistent because they don't rely on rng based outcomes

Hmmh. I feel like even RNG based money-making methods at high level should be more consistent over-all than something beginners do at lvl 3 when they join the server.

But aye if there's no support I guess it's only me then.

Rng is the grindiness of the game isnt that what it's all about? Making it even easier to get top tier items isn't exactly something the server needs imo, no support on this one.

I have seen people go 200+ dry on OSRS mate, I'm currently at around 50ish raids on Alora and i haven't had a single thing yet. Yes that annoys the hell out of me because im poor af and haven't wanted to touch the Arena like i would do with other servers.

RNG IS RNG. Can be amazing or an absolute bitch.

Best way is too just carry on and grind and grind until that drop comes.

No support from me sorry

This would make people afraid to die at Olm (as i have seen when i have hosted raids)

I think that you should get +1 point every raid and it costs 100 points for a rare drop, and if you get a rare drop in the raids themselves, deduct points (like 50 75 or maybe even 100)
