It's very clear to anyone who actively plays Alora that lag spikes happen on a regular basis, after 4 day server up time.

One should not have to suggest something so simple, but for the sake of Hardcore Ironmen, PVMers and PVPers; PLEASE consider doing a server reboot every 96 hours.

I don't know what all goes into a server reboot, but it would help a lot of players out with overcoming server lag throughout the week. We have a big PvM community than thrives on good connections. I Support the idea. Thanks @ Jmich96 for your suggestion

I support this, as far as I know only omicron can do this, maybe make it possible that Blank or admin can also do this, or a 96 hrs timer if it would be possible, no idea.

Obviously something like this would be beneficial, but the logistics of it is something I question.

 

For instance, when the server goes down we lost a large portion of the player base that was online for quite some time - but also this would require the owner to constantly do this, as I don't think there's a reliable way to automate server resets.

I handle business servers for my family. Its literally just rebooting the physical server. Turn it off and turn it on, open the program again. I don't know the specifics for running Alora on the server end, but I can safely assume it wouldn't take more than 10 minutes on Omicron's end.

I figure a 15 minute warning server announcement (as in OSRS) for server reboots. Close off the TP At 15 min everybody is forced to disconnect and Omi reboots.
