Hello, so as you all have realized alora is the biggest rsps but pking is dead. Pking needs some more content and we need more pk players instead of pvmers. I have some suggestions that might make pking actually active if omicron takes his time to actually add them.

 

1) add a new pk game mode were u can ::pure/::master but u cannot do anything but pk so it doesnt make pvming to easy

2) collide with another pk server bringing all the pk players here which will fill the wilderness and have people talking more about alora and pking

3) add a ::pk command that teles u right to edgeville ditch so it's eaiser to advertise on yell to come to edge ditch

4) have more edgeville ditch pk events instead of pvm events so it gives people a taste of what pking is like

5) advertise on youtube/rsps lists more about pking instead of just "raids" and inferno" say "active wilderness" and make pk videos

7) actually do all of this^^^^^^^^^^^^ instead of just saying you want more pkers actually do something about it to gain pkers.

1. No thank you, we're an OSRS based server.
2. Not sure how this would work.
3. Everyone knows the wilderness ditch is 5 seconds away from home.
4. There's been a significant addition to the number of wilderness events in the last few weeks. I think they're common enough for a PvM server.
5. That would be false advertisements. Since we don't have an active wilderness. People are free to make pk videos though. They all contribute to bringing new people!

While I agree that I would love to see the number of people in the wilderness increase. I just don't see how any of these would further improve that except for maybe having more frequent PvP events.

Literally home teleport and run 6 steps north

We do weekend PK events, I can look into running more.

PK videos are a matter of how active the scene is. If we had more content makers and more video makers you could see more. It's a PvM-oriented server so you won't see massive PK advertising.

2: merging only causes complications between staff

4: pk events happen on weekends, go to skotizo if you want pkers

5: servers predominately PvM based, advertising an active wilderness would be false advertisement.

1. No thanks. PK servers can keep that content to themselves. No support.

2. This is easier said than done. No support anyway.

3. No need for a ::pk command when there was recently an implementation of ::edgepvp that is similar to an OSRS PVP world. Check it out! There is also ;;thieve which is relatively close to the ditch.

4. As others have mentioned, there are PK events for the server to enjoy. There is bigger reasons why we're not a PVP server, one being easy item obtainability.

5. Alora has done more great for itself with the minimal advertising. We're a huge word-of-mouth community. 

6. This skipped this # but is irrelevant.

 

I've thought since day 1 of joining Alora the major reason we're not a PvP community is simply because of amount of time one would need to play before obtaining items used in PvP. Well, that and combat needing some love and attention.

1) This is definitely not going to be added, takes away from what Alora is.

 

2) I don't see in any case Alora merging with another server.

 

3) Something like this is just not worth Dev time. Omicron has a lot of things he could be working on, and although this is a simple thing I don't think it's necessary.

 

4) There are usually a lot of PvP Events that are hosted every weekend, but I will talk to the Event Managers about hosting more PvP-related events.

 

5) This is something that I can't really agree with seeing as most of the playerbase is more PvM focused. Sure, a better PvP economy would be great, but I don't think this is the way to go about doing this.
