[Heimdahll]

Following on from my previous post suggesting implementing Castle Wars / mini games we managed to get a lot of positive feedback and support from moderators and players. I would now like to officially push this suggestion to a content poll to see exactly what the percentage of players are in favor of Castle Walls being implemented. Hopefully this may provoke a potential implementation of Castle Walls. Happy Voting !

Not sure what castle walls is but I don’t mind seeing castle wars, I mean it could be inactive at some times but I guess there could be some events hosted by the event managers to solve that and even some sort of castle wars shop where you can spend your castle wars point.

This would be amazing. I absolutely loved playing castle wars when I played OSRS and I think even if it would be considered “dead content” at times, I still think it would be worth implementing for community events.

OSRS remake NEEDS Castle Wars. Clans/Community Events - I think it'd get enough use, especially if we implement a shop with some unique items.

Although I love the idea of adding a minigame that is loved on OSRS, I just feel like it would be dead content. I'm sure the hype with the new minigame would bring a lot of players but looking at it in the long-run leads me to think that it won't be as popular shortly after it's release.

 

Look at another minigame like Pest Control. A minigame like that offers items that most new accounts use for a long time, especially if they're an ironman. Pest Control sometimes has trouble getting players just to play to achieve their Void set, or whatever else they're trying to get.

@Xuf  Yes i agree entirely with what you say about pest control but this is really only done in order to achieve items, no one is really going to PC for fun because games are only 1-2mins long.

 

Personally I don't believe Castle Wars would be dead content because it is generally a fun minigame against other players , something this server is missing drastically (safe pvp minigame). A shop could also be implemented and from the community events there is always huge turn out for SAFE pvp events. Not to mention clans would be able to battle it out in Castle Wars as well.

I know exactly what you're saying but, as you're saying in the long run, it's another arrow to Alora's bow. The more content packed an RSPS is the more appealing it is. Castle Wars is an iconic mini-game and I think, although it wouldn't be the most popular content, it would get a fair amount of use and serve it's purpose of bringing fun entertainment.

I genuinely don't see this getting enough use to justify the time needed to create the minigame.

if it were added it would have to be a weekend event or it would just be overkill/dead content.

As it stands, adding castle wars is not the right thing to spend time into, it has a huge chance of being dead content. Maybe in the future if we see a revamp in OSRS.
