Just an idea, shoot me down if it's not practical. What if we added Rental items into the game. Let's say a player has a Tbow for instance, they can put it in their "rental store" for a specific amount of money for a specific amount of time

 

10M - 1 hour

 

25M- 3 hours

 

100M - 6 hours

 

ECT.

 

Possibly at the end of the their rental time they can get a pop up saying their rental time is up and maybe give an option to buy it from them (with owners consent) I just think it's a try out a weapon or armour before they make the decision to buy something.

Hmm i'm intrested in what people think of this, so it's like the Lend option in Runescape 3. I wouldn't see why not.

I’m going to stay neutral on this. I can understand the pros for it, but I feel this shouldn’t be a feature we need on Alora right away.

Honestly, I am all for a "Lending System" as I borrow quite a bit of items from people that I have to return later.

 

If we implement it just like RS3 we could have a 24-48 hour lend period and people would have the option to charge per hour/day ect. And at the end of this period the item would automatically return to the owners "Return Box".

 

Additional features could include:

 

- Unable to take into wilderness

- Unable to trade/put on TP

- When the *Borrower* dies the item will automatically be sent to the owners return box OR the reclaims NPC

- Option to lend till "Log out"

 

Of course there could be tweaks and such involved but I think a Lending System would work nicely on Alora for those who can't fully afford one or have that friend who wants to lend but doesn't trust said person for a trust trade method.

 

So all in all I say SUPPORT

I can see why people would want this but I am just gonna straight up say NO support, as this just kinda gets rid of the point of going out and earning the item yourself, plus can bring a lot of bugs into game if added.

100% support this ^^^^^. I loved the idea of their lending system and definitely think it could be a nice feature here. If this way is implemented, I could support this idea.

Support because not every player can afford the best items in-game. I think there should be a limit for 1 item lent per session. 1 hour - 48 hour maximum lend time for a single item. Prices set by the owner of the item in a separate shop or even part of the trading post, but in a different section. In RS you could logout and still have the item till your time is up which I think would be best. Dying like stating above returns item to the owner and you cannot take the item into the wilderness AT ALL or another option would be you cannot enter the wilderness at all if you have a lent item on your persons/in your bank.

Neat idea for people to make money off there big ticket item(s). However I believe some people might not like the idea of the rich getting richer. However I also think this is a cool idea that was implemented before in RS, and was fun to use. So I'm neutral until more input is shown for this.
