Over these past few weeks I've seen quite a few people posting works/opening shops over at the graphics section on the forums!

 

I think it would be fun to begin hosting "Graphics of the Week/Month" competitions. The way I've seen these run on other forums is somewhat simple and makes for some cool creations! 

 

Every week/month a theme is announced that creators must follow. During that week/month users who want to participate can enter their artwork via a thread/pm and at the end of the week a post is created with all of the submissions. 

 

Users can vote via a poll on the thread for which one they like most and the winner earns the title of "designer of the week" or something along those lines. To be honest, I haven't put any thought into appropriate 'awards' for winners. 

 

 

 

I think this could be a fun way for alora's design community to create some awesome works of art and have some friendly competition at the same time that the whole community can be involved in.

I would love to see this probably will be always the users entering tho. My suggestion is to reward the winners either with a signature or unique userbar.
