I would like to make a sugguestion from OSRS DMM that could be awesome fun for Alora.

 

Everyone gets a particular set (DH/NH/Pure/Max brid etc) and fights an opponent to the death, if they win they go through to the next round. Like the finals in OSRS DMM. The set up can be the same as LMS. Where you pay to join the event and all the players can join. All potions and supplies will be given free.

 

Tournaments:

• Dharok
• Maxed mage
• Pure
• Zerker

When there's 2 players left, the winner can get something like a title or forum awards or even a unique item like a cape and cash.

 

What do you guys think? Could you improve this idea?

 

 

I love this idea. In regards to the reward system you could gain points for placing in the top 3 and allow them points to be spent in the “Event Shop”

These events could run every hour.

There exists tournaments hosted by staff/clans from time to time similar to what you have suggested before with brackets and knockout stages.

 

But in an enclosed setting reserved for events like this where you don't have to bring your own gear, I like this idea.

and as what olmlet said, have it running every other hour and announcing in broadcast when it's about to begin, like the god wars event broadcast.

auto-tournys (every 2h or something) with a default armour setup that u can get free would be amazing , cuz some people cant participate cuz of the gear/lvls etc... and it would bring some nice content.

Really support this, this would be very good for the server I believe.

I have suggested a tournament system in the past and it got denied, but I support us having one!

Tournaments have been successful more often than not in my experience with them. So long as they are organized properly with fairness for every participant, I don't see why this couldn't be a thing!

Not bad of an idea. Looks nice on paper, but I feel this can be developed/presented better. At this time, the event managers host similar events with cash prices and the like, every week. Will this suggestion make it easier for them to organize it? I disagree with a forum/title as they are bigger, major tournaments such as KotS and the like that are better suited for a forum award. I’ll await to see the what the event managers have to say about this suggestion, so for now, I’m neutral.

I really like the idea of tournaments being added to Alora. But if we're being honest there is so many other servers out there with a "tournament system" it seems like they would copy an idea and it becomes repetitive.
