Hey guys,

 

As some of you may know, @ Lowkey and I were answering questions on his stream yesterday, and we received plenty of suggestions from you guys. Some of these suggestions were quite straight-forward, being bug fixes or small things that make Alora more similar to OSRS. Others were slightly larger changes, particularly those which strayed from Old-school content, which we generally like to stick to.

 

We've decided to poll a lot of these suggested changes to see what the general opinions of the community are on these topics. Please note that even if a vote passes here, it isn't a 100% guarantee that the proposed change will find its way into the game.

 

Some of the proposed changes to the Runecrafting shop include some pieces of equipment that isn't in OSRS, those being the Runecrafting robes and the Omni staff. I've included some pictures of these below, though they'll look slightly different on OSRS character models of course:

Look forward to hopefully seeing some of these in-game, Also liked the idea of the Q&A would be pretty cool if you did one like once a month or so but only like 30minutes so the players can ask more about future QoL updates and etc

I’m loving the content ideas for March! Storages will be absolutely amazing for raids and a slight buff would be amazing.


There’s one thing I stand strong on though. Please do not reduce the price to remove a player from their group in GIM. They were warned in the beginning that teams are permanent. The fact that there is even an option to remove from group now is a gift and a blessing by itself. EIMs had to Pay $40 to change their partners and that seemed fair. I don’t see anything wrong with 350 tokens.

I'm really glad to see some very good poll questions coming up. Although I am against a few ideas which are;

 

1. The legendary drop boost rate. The legendary donator rank is pretty easy to obtain and their 3-5% drop boost rate would be too overpowered for their rank, especially in raids. That's a big no for me.

2. The Runecrafting robes and the Omni staff. I personally think they shouldn't come into the game at all due it's a non-osrs custom item. I knew in the past you were against customs items, which is why the original Completionist cape design didn't appear in the game either. It would sound unfair to have these robes ingame rather than the completionist cape design, due it's a ''custom'' item while the completionist cape design is just a cosmetic change.

3. I shouldn't think the price reduction of the GIM ticket should happen, due it was already settled to 350 tokens, which made most of us(including me) had to buy 4 bonds. It sounds a bit unfair to the rest who already bought the ticket to hear that they spent an extra 100 tokens for nothing. Hence why I vote no.

 

About the rest of the ideas, I will definitely vote yes. Looking forward to see most of them coming to the game.

I think it is better to keep the serve clean and don’t add non-osrs items.

I definitely support a slight raids buff, 1000~ runes per day with rc points and the brimstone keys :)

Really nice updates looking forward 2 new perks,benefits,changes on Alora even tho im still new myself and playing and exploring the server in its whole. Id also like 2 say that i requested a custom donation and pm'd you about it @ Omicron

Loving these QnA streams and what they do for the server and community. I'm personally against most things that aren't in OSRS as I think our resemblance to OSRS is one of our best selling points for bringing in dedicated players.

 

As a Legendary Donor myself, I'd prefer to keep the drop bonuses to the Uber and Master ranks because they are prestigious and more difficult to obtain. There are already a lot of great perks to the ranks as you climb the ladder.

 

I'd love to see the Raids 1 storage chests added along with a few other changes like being able to turn Olm's head, falling rock shadows, the ability to kite Tekton like in OSRS and of course the purple light.

 

Perhaps we could make it more of an incentive to stand on the skeletons during the Xarpus healing phase instead of getting rid of it altogether. Something like decreasing the amount of time it takes for Xarpus to reach full health for each skeleton a player stands on. I understand being annoyed about having to stand there for two minutes but I do like keeping the mechanics for the bosses as realistic as possible.

I'd love a small drop rate boost for legendary donor since it doenst have alot of perks compared to extreme.

 

Also the increased change for raids drops / storage boxes in raids are great.

 

Also please add purple light to raids 1 chest too :)

 Is there any chance we can also get a dummy added into to home or something as ;;maxhit isn't accurate on what you can hit. Would be very nice for us Pkers to see what we can hit :)

some great ideas! i like the raids 1 buff and storage chests especially. Can you please add purple light for raids 1 chest and head animations for olm to?  (so people can run the head at olm especially good for solo raids if you dont have a dhcb/twisted bow) Brimstone keys sound great to
