Alright here we go, so my issue with this whole 2fa security is the simple fact not everyone has a "mobile" phone. I know the bonus exp is technically a "reward" in a sort of sense and not a necessity, but its not exactly fair to the players who don't have that option. Not only do we not get the extra security but were also denied a benefit almost every player has. I dont believe the 2fa system is bad by no means, just not fair at all. In my personal opinion we should be getting that exp bonus because we VOTED for your site. Im already the one who takes the risk for having a less secure account, but why should we be more or less punished and denied normal contents of the game for taking that risk?

I understand that you may feel hard done by this as you don't have access to a mobile phone but it's set up this way with good reason. The majority of our player-base in this day and age have access to a mobile phone but despite this, there remains a large number of users unwilling to activate 2FA regardless of the security privileges it provides. Reasons being as simple as they view 2FA as an unnecessary hassle, or they approach it with the mindset of "I'll never be hacked anyway, what's the point?". This is where the BXP boost perk comes into play, it provides an incentive to not only vote but to also activate 2FA. I can't stress enough how important it is to have 2FA active. Alora has a long standing history of being secure, however, the same cannot be said for other servers. Databases from competing servers are frequently leaked and with that a flurry of hacks occur, mainly due to users continually using the same log-in details across multiple servers.

I get where you're coming from but I don't see this changing anytime soon. 2FA needs all the advertising it can get.

Who doesn't have a mobile phone now days? Anyway, i could get behind this. Without 2fa you should get a 25% exp increase and with 2fa you get 50%.

I don't use my phone for 2FA, you can just download an app or use a website for 2FA just as easily. Personally, I use an app on my computer since it's more convenient than using my phone. I just press a button to pull up the app and I have everything in front of me.

Although it's not beneficial, adding Email 2FA is a decent secondary option for those who do not have a mobile device.

The only way iv found is mobile unless im just straight missing it. I understand the need for the 2fa by all means and dont want to necessarily remove the mobile feature , but if im not overlooking something then I believe it would be awesome to have an Email alternative.

As Wii has said, Authy can be used on the computer and works as mobile authentication. I use it both on my phone and my PC as a browser extension.

I can imagine there are some players out there who do not have access to a mobile device to set up 2FA. As what some of my peers have said, you can use an authenticator on your PC and set up 2FA that way. As what Foxit said, we cannot stress enough how important it is to secure your accounts with 2FA, and the bonus experience from vote books is a nice bonus to have for securing your accounts. We do our best to combat against hackers, but if you do get hacked with 2FA inactive and you lose your items/wealth, then unfortunately you will not get a refund of said wealth/items. It is your responsibility to secure your accounts with 2FA, and we are not responsible if you lose wealth/items because of not having it active. There should be no excuse to not have it active in the first place. It’s the harsh truth.

There's no excuse to not have 2FA setup, and all players should most definitely have it setup. Your suggestion has been declined.
