Not sure if this has been suggested before, is it possible to get a filter for global chats?

I prefer to keep my game chat clean and the rainbow effect + random icons is annoying.

Edit: realised you can filter yell - can this be done for [News] etc too?

As what @Alissa said, you can turn off the yell chat via your game chat settings. In terms of [News] if you are referring to pet and item drops, you would have to filter/turn off your game chat. However, doing so will make you appear offline (which is a bug). You would appear online of game chat is set to “on.”
