What is your suggestion?: I suggest a few changes in the Gauntlet to bring it more inline with OSRS and make it less frustrating while prepping.

 

-Allow Demi-bosses to spawn in 6 of the 12 outer rooms. The rooms in the outer area are the rooms non-adjacent to the corner rooms. (Straight from OSRS wiki.)

 

-As it stands, you could end up with 3 dragon spawns and no other demi-boss, so I would like to make it so that if you kill a duplicate demi-boss, it will have a guaranteed chance to drop a different weapon component, provided you don't already have one. So if I kill two dragons, the second should have a 50% chance to drop either a bowstring or a spike. 

 

-I may be biased on this, but according to the hotfixes implemented on 08-17-2019, weapon frames were said to be more common but I still think it could be dropped more frequently. In OSRS, it is the third weak monster you kill that guarantees a frame, strong monsters guarantee a frame if you haven't received one already, as well as demi-bosses guarantee one as well. 

 

-If not too much of a nightmare, allow us to utilize the 5:1 method. For example, I can attack 5 times with range then kick the boss and he will pray melee. And I can repeat this process for the entire fight.

 

 

 

Is this in OSRS?: Yes. 

 

 

Has this suggestion been accepted already?: No.

 

 

 

How would this benefit Alora?: It would not only help those who currently grind the Gauntlet, but may persuade those that are inexperienced to start enjoying this content and make it less frustrating to learn. I understand that some of this may not be possible, or there may not be enough dev time but I just simply want to shed light on some of the issues I face when doing some runs. Thank you for taking the time to read, and I welcome any additional suggestions, or changes to what I proposed.

I support the idea of more demi-boss spawns. The 5:1 method for boss I'm not sure..

Im all up for the demi-bosses and the weapon frames, had two gauntlets in a row where i didnt find any from the low levels.

Just curious as to what you are not sure about? You don't have to utilize the method, but if you want to try speed runs or just happen to go in with only one Tier 3 weapon, it can help having that option available.

The so called 5:1 method  already works.  

 

 

As to the rest. Omi has tried to fix gauntlet and everytime something else comes up. I support of course.

I support to make it more like it's in OSRS as it's very inconsistent with the weapon frame drops and demi-boss spawns right now. Also, it's just stupid that sometimes you might find 3 dragons and get 3 orbs for example...

The 5:1 method can already be used as far as I know. You start the fight (hunllef always has mage prayer on at first) with range or melee, hit 5 times and then change to something else for 1 hit and it changes the prayer. At least that's how it can be done here. I've noticed that sometimes it might fail to change the pray if you're too quick or something but not 100% sure why it happens.

I support all of these. It would make gauntlet less terrible and make it so I wouldn't smash my laptop while learning.

Do you have a source for this? I can't find that information anywhere.

Also, the 5:1 method works. I'm using the gauntlet plugin to show it clearly, but as you can see there are 4 hits left before it's supposed to change prayers, and I made sure on the last hit to use range, and he kept praying range. I can essentially make sure that the Hunllef never changes prayers using this method:

It is under the "Mechanics" drop down. It also includes the part where if you kill a duplicate demi-boss, you will get a different perfected upgrade. Also I seem to have been incorrect about 5:1, thank you for taking the time to verify.
