What is your suggestion?: Increase the odds for a purple scaling off dono rank

Is this in OSRS?: n/a

Has this suggestion been accepted already?: no

How would this benefit Alora?: It'll give the whales more of a dopamine rush

If you are going to scale TOA purple chance off of donor rank then you might as well do it for CoX and ToB as well. Which give me the p2w vibe. Donor will be getting extra rolls on TOA, which will give you more chance at a purple. Scaling the chance of donor getting purple with their rank + the extra rolls will be op imo. No support from me.

1) Pretty sure COX works like this already. Look at any log of someone uber+ compared to a similar kc of someone with super or something.

 

2) This server is already p2w. Regardless, it would not be broken. The boosted rare drop rate would raise a 2%/4% purple for 150/300 to about 2.34%/4.68%

 

3) As of now, extra rolls only apply to common drops, which in all seriousness, do not matter. Pretty sure this is how tob is now.

So having tiered donator ranks already is not pay to win? Especially with the boosted drop-rate % that begins with Uber+. On top of that, patch notes state "Donators will now have increased loot rolls when rolling on the common drop table at the Tombs of Amass. So the extra rolls you speak of are for common drops, not purples. To me, it only makes sense with this being a private server and folks not wanting to have to slave like they would on OSRS that donator ranks should most certainly have a direct benefit regarding increased uniques.

I believe COX has extra rolls based on rank for purples hence the double and even triple drops that have been seen before. Extra rolls just for common is pretty irrelevant in my opinion for end game content like this so I definitely support. I would also like to see some information about what the rates for purples are and how they are calculated. As well as getting an idea of how raid or drop boosters would work for TOA. Nobody really knows what to use there as far as boosters and if they have any current meaning to them for TOA so I think this would also help the market on boosters. I know this is all brand new content but I think this is information players want to know.

I support, i don't think the droprate is good right now. Also, the extra rolls should NOT be just common table, it should give extra chance at purple like tob/cox. The normal loot from toa is literally laughable USELESS

I do not support, considering the amount of rares we've seen since the release and the amount of kc people have in total, it is pretty decent already.

Donator rolls are already super powerful in raids as is. There's no need to add this extra purple chance imo.

 

If you check #game-news in discord, there have been 34 drops since the raid came out 5 days ago, plus 1 un-announced fang. 7 of those drops were on accounts with only super donator, with 3 going to only one person (who's also super donator). I really don't think there is any reason to increase the drop rate just yet/at all.

 

BUT the common loot table does suck pretty bad. There is literally no use for cactus spines on Alora.

If the boosted drop rate % (uber+) work for cox/tob, then it should apply to toa aswell.
So if this isnt the case atm support.

When this post was made, it hadn't even been a full week after release... give it time to get more data and there can be more discussion about drop rates/donor rank.

I am assuming base drop rates as same as OSRS as they have been for other endgame content such as nex/Tob. It is a RSPS, I would play OSRS if I wanted those drop rates. No reason why this should be excluded either. With that being said, at 150 invo, purple chance is 1/50. Getting 25 min runs, that it just under 21 hrs/purp on avg. If immortal's 17% boosted rate applied, that goes to just under 18 hrs/purp on avg. Yes, it is obviously better, but still a grind. Again, it is a private server, so there should be a buff if you pay.

 

I agree COX is easy because I am almost positive purples can happen on any roll, so more rolls with dono = more purples. TOB, though a purple can only happen on first roll. I do not know where you coming from with the TOB comment with that being stated. Most TOB logs are crap (As of now, only 6 accounts finished TOB). 

 

I do not know what makes you assume I do not know how RNG works. With that being said, this will not ruin the content as the raid is very fun to complete.

 

Overall, I feel like this comment boils back down to the not wanting a p2w aspect here.

This isn't OSRS. We come here for a more relaxed experience and less of a grind. Go read the Donator FAQ before complaining it ruins content when the Boosted drop-rate % is a main driving factor and selling point for shelling out thousands of dollars. No one complains about donator rank being applied to any other piece of content, this should be no different.

Another point for those who think that current ToA rates feels like playing OSRS:

 

Firstly, Alora has an overall boosted drop chance, which is like 1.2x or 1.3x, don't know the exact amount. That means that if a 150 invo in OSRS would have a 1/50 chance for a purple, it would become roughly 1/40 with the overall boost that the server has.

 

Secondly, the drop rates are calculated without any drop / raid boosters, so if we would use those aswell, the purple chance would improve by another 15%, becoming roughly 1/34. Also we hopefully do have a ToA 1.2x bonus loot event coming into the game, all the other endgame content has it, so would be fair for ToA to have it aswell, again improving the chance.

 

 

And finally, ToA runs in Alora are not nearly as complicated as they would be in OSRS. This is mostly caused by increased accuracy, which can make players brute-force the content without much consequences.

 

 

So all in all, I do not think that it's fair comparing current rates to the OSRS, when the content is easier and the drop loots are boosted anyways. Let the items have some value for once, we don't need fangs or masori armor become the new p scrolls and avernics which p much have no value opposed to other items you could obtain from previous two raids.
