What is your suggestion?: To revert the NPC aggro timer that was recently changed to 5 minutes.

Is this in OSRS?: No

Has this suggestion been accepted already?: No

How would this benefit Alora?: This was not asked for, polled, or suggested from what I can tell in any capacity. Not that it should be a determining factor, but I feel like Alora provides a more laid back OSRS experience and this was a benefit for a long time. It isn't even 100% from what I have experience when you do have to reset aggro as sometimes teleporting away or running far away doesn't always reset them. It would be nice to be able to AFK Vyrewatch and Sand Crabs, etc without really having to pay any attention.

Support. Never had a reason to need this on alora. More cons than pros with this change

Support, there's no reason Alora should be 1:1 with osrs. The boss rework poll failed for a reason, we are playing on a private server to make things easier. If we were 1:1 with osrs the teleport wizard wouldn't exist either. Besides, being able to AFK train allows players to play multiple accounts at a time which artificially boosts the playercount even more than it already is helping to retain new players.

Weird you supported the Run energy revert though? That's not in OSRS. Maybe bring some actual feedback instead of boosting your post count on the forums. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

@Ultra Ball It was not changed to 5 minutes, the timers are 10 minutes as always. The only difference is that players need to move more to regain aggression, and this was mostly an anti-cheat implementation. As of now, I don't see any good reason to revert these changes.

Its like, imagine a spirit in heaven, its planning it's new earthy life.

The spirit plans beautifully.

 

But - heres the kicker:

 

as the spirit is born in to human body - it will have the text "You will die in X--AMOUNT OF YEARS"

burned into it's consciousness.

 

so, its almost why ever do anything - if im gonna die anyways.

 

like its okay to know, maybe 1 or 2 times, but not god damn know it 99 times a day.

it'll burn self out.

 

 

 

So is with this new timer.

 

used to be a chill time, and relaxing time..(with longer intervals..so can get mind right too)

 

vs = now became a new boss-instance, with timer counting down.

 

that sucks ass tbh, but it is what it is.

 

idk, food for thought

@Green eyes There is no new timer, it was 10 minutes before and it's 10 minutes now, the difference being that you have to move a bit further away to reset aggression. Also, the aggression doesn't change in instances, npc's in raids/instances, as well as bosses, are always aggressive.

So for something to be in alora it has to be in osrs? Say bye to monkey cape, teleport wizard, bonus xp, all bonuses, teleport commands, ;;empty. etc.

support to reverting to how it was, but can see why it won't if it is an anti cheating method

Support for revert, i can understand what Omi is saying but in some cases its honestly just annoying to run "a bit further" For example in catacombs, deviant spectres when i run away further to make them aggro again, now i have to deal with dagannoths attacking me again every time want to regain aggro on the spectres.. and that's just one example. Another thing is as Ultra Ball stated they don't seem to always reset for some reason even when run far/tp away, so that's not helping the situation.

Like most said this wasn't polled, suggested, or probably making anyone happy but who knows maybe someone out there is XD this just feels like the run energy situation and since that one was reverted because community disliked it, I don't see why this can't be reverted as well.
