What is your suggestion?: Remove NPC PJ timer (currently at 12s)

Is this in OSRS?: yes

Has this suggestion been accepted already?: no

How would this benefit Alora?: fix bug?

Currently, if you engage in combat with a player, and you get PJed off by an NPC, you're faced with 2 options

1. Kill the NPC and continue the fight with your original opponent

2. Run away/freeze the NPC, and wait 12s, which gives the opponent the time to log off

I'm not sure whether the 2nd option was intended as part of the new update, or it's a bug

On osrs, I believe this timer is 5 seconds. Here's what the osrs wiki says - In the single-way combat areas of the Wilderness, the player PJ timer is increased to 20 ticks, or roughly 12 seconds. Similarly to the PvP worlds, the players are locked in combat as soon as they target a player or NPC, and cannot be interrupted. NPCs attacking the players within PvP areas have a shorter PJ timer at roughly 5 seconds. If a player kills a NPC, they can be attacked immediately. Additionally, after a knocking out an opponent the player has a 12 second grace period. Players also cannot trade in the Wilderness if they are or recently were in combat.

A 12s pj timer for NPCs is kinda broken and makes a lot wilderness areas pretty much completely safe

Sorry man but this just isn't a suggestion. You are asking a question and asking to fix a bug. Either post in general discussion or report it as a bug please.

Plus this is currently in the upcoming update:

  • Pj timer changes:
Players can no longer be immediately attacked by a player or npc if their most recent target was a player and the pj timer is still active (unless the attacker is their most recent target).
This doesn’t apply to PvM unless the player was recently in combat with another player, which would trigger the pj timer. *
