Seeing as there was a spam bot comment on this suggestion thread

We bringing this thread back alive lol. It is definitely not happening as frequent like it use to back in the day. I remember seeing To gain mention that the support section should not require in-game time and all the other sections should. Definitely a good idea if possible to implement. Other than that we just have to keep reporting it if we see it and go throughout our day unfortunately.

yeah I agree with you there. Having a restriction using in-game time would help. I just wonder if it is even possible

Omicron could fix this pretty quickly by either requiring new users to verify their email before they can post, or by limiting their ability to post links and images until they’ve gained x post count. Either option would only take a minute to enable in the forum’s admin control panel.

Agree. Make people have to verify email and even enable 2fa to be able to post.. just in general it should be done for account safety but would also add a few roadblocks for spam bots.

I 100% agree with having 2FA enabled to post on the forums. I think it would be the easiest solution to the spam problem imo
