What is your suggestion?: Allow for ironmen to use tradeable items they have on The Collector NPC. (Only Irons.)
 

Is this in OSRS?: Yes
 

Has this suggestion been accepted already?: Yesn't. The NPC is functional, however irons cannot use their achieved items on it (Present example being the metal boots or granite parts to get the clogger.)
 

How would this benefit Alora?: Get closer and closer to that 1:1 OSRS-like.

I would say to be more specific, only Normal Irons/Normal Hardcore Irons/UIM

 

As these 3 iron modes have 0 trading interface like GIM/EIM

I would prefer it if we just stopped adding items to clogs if the content has been out for years already.

Support! OSRS allows ironmen, hardcore ironmen and ultimate ironmen to use almost any item on the collection log book to add it to their collection log.

Why? Bringing Alora to as close as possible to OSRS in terms of collection log is awesome and adds way more grinding goals in all facets of the game, early, mid and late game. (Just please don't add brewing trouble minigame or castlewars xdd)

As someone with 1k+ clogs I wouldn't say adding misc. items like bronze boots, granite sword, ..., is awesome or much of a grind, more tedious and annoying than anything.

I'm sure it wouldn't be setup to skip items from alora specific content, like an arcane from bloody chest, you could just break down the spirit shield and then use the 'collector' to bypass the normal way of obtaining it.

 

Also, if it's supposed to add more grinding goals, why would he let people auto-skip it with the collector.

To the last point - Because some people already obtained those items (before they were added as collection logs) and may have them in their banks or PoH, why not let them use the Collector to get the clogger of something they've already grinded?

As for the Spirit shields from Bloody keys.. not sure how to deal with that, but people already get some collection logs from voteshops or other ways that aren't the actual grind of the meant monster/drop, so i don't see the big issue since at the end of the day, not that many irons are opening hundreds or thousands of bloody keys to get a spirit shield sigil.

Then they should have to re-grind it just like every other game mode has to do, or like to my original suggestion, stop adding misc. collection logs after the content has been out for years.

Arcane was merely one example, there are many items that could fall under this, the onix from tekton, SOD/magic fang from bloody chest, ....

Just my opinion but there aren't many multi-year old ironmen who had items before the collection log came out like there are in OSRS, this suggestion just seems like it would be taking time away from working on content like Huey, Doom of Mokhaiotl, fixing other stuff ingame.

Although I like the idea, @Mhk brings up a valid point, a lot of items can be gained through things like bloody keys, current method is fair for all game modes since we’ve all had to start from scratch.

Your suggestion has been declined, due to the fact that Elite ironmen can de-iron to the regular ironman game mode, which muddies the waters on what was truly obtained by the player.
