Has this suggestion been accepted already?:

I believe it's been declined before, I'd be surprised if this old suggestion was still open.

 

How would this benefit Alora?:

For one, it's always weird that Alora tries to be harder than OSRS in any aspect, but for extracts to be 3x more expensive than the main game just seems weird.

 

I know gp is easier to get on here, which I'm assuming is why it's offset, but since the recent removal of any viable shop to buy items at high alch price, irons are struggling more than ever to get gp (compared to before). I don't think runes should be so hard capped for irons to get, and this is speaking from endgame where you do a lot of barraging and already greenlogged barrows.

 

For anyone who doesn't know, scarr ess mine is 3x more expensive to do on Alora than on OSRS. A mangled extract costs 12k on osrs vs 36k on alora (for example)

 

Also if the argument is "it's still cheaper than shop prices" well maybe shop prices shouldn't be so damn expensive either.

Support! Thought it was an awesome update when my GIM group told me about it but was hugely surprised when nearly 10m GP worth of scarred essence was used all in one go for just 7k blood runes... I honestly thought it was a glitch, seems the pricing is weighted all wrong. I get it's a time save compared to normal runecrafting but it's just as quick and cheaper to teleport & purchase from multiple shops, so this needs balancing to be a functional activity...

i can only think of revs or money caskets. id imagine no one is sitting there high alching 3k battlestaves on a private server, what else is there?

A day or two of revenants sets you up for a long time, along with money caskets from regular slayer.

Alching 3k battlestaves is 2 hours work for a decent chunk of change. You get dragon and rune items from pvming so there's a lot less quantity, for much more gp too.

Can also sell dupe drops and buy crystal keys with vote books.

I'm not saying you're wrong in the different options in money making though, what I'm saying is runes shouldn't cost this much to begin with. I think it's weird that runes for some reason are being priced so highly when even jagex doesn't think it's worth pricing them that high on the main game.

If they're avoiding wilderness content, then it's their loss at the end of the day. The option is there.

Melee slayer is entirely possible, obviously a little slower, but majority of players do slayer this way, and you can make a few mil per task with the ensouled heads & caskets.

You don't have to stand still and alch. You can do plenty of activities while afking, such as agility.

Fair enough, was simply an option.

100% support. Even if it was double the price at scar ass would be better, or drop the current prices of runes!

As an ironman that has been going strong for 2 years I had a huge cash stack that has since dwindled by hundreds of millions (not joking) just from buying runes. Its dumb that I can't do certain content because I can't charge my weapons or simply don't have enough runes.

Support! It was actually even more expensive on release and was reduced by 25% after another suggestion.

 

If we use the concept of "cash is too easy to get so let's make it more expensive", then I'm afraid it will lead to many other issues. A simple example is "Anima-infused bark" via woodcutting for Forestry rewards. Woodcutting here is much faster than the main game which means we get bark much faster, so lets make it cost more bark here to compensate would be the solution if we are following the same trend. This is just artificially increasing playtime for no reason

Atleast dropping the price. Make it 1.5x the price of osrs. We still have to mine the essence and put in the leg work. Make it worth the time. Not punish the player for playing the game.
