As things currently are in Alora doing Chambers of Xerics with a partner or in a group will drastically decrease your chance for a purple chest.

This is not a thing in osrs and it engages you much more to do Cox in teams on there.

For persons like me that enjoy group content much more than solo content this is makes no sense in the first place.
Why this is a thing on Alora was never really answered besides the point cap being rather low. (8400 i think for solos, 12400 for duos and so on?)
Not even the donator status seems to have any influence on team raids at all.

 

With that beeing said my question is:
Does anybody have a viable idea to fix rates for duo/trio/group sized Chambers?
Or do you guys think the whole point system should get a overhaul? Being a high level donator is actually P2W on here.

this would help people learn it so i support, as long as solo's are still like they are now then its ok imo

As someone with no experience in coding, it seems like you could just improve purple rates incrementally with each additional player on the team and set a separate condition where if it’s a solo, it would just function how it already does. Or it could be rebalanced entirely with the addition of CM cox

Support! I think when trying to find a viable fix, we need to understand how it works in the first place. I believe alot of people asked in the previous Q/A with Omi on how exactly CoX works and it was never replied to. Or just increase the cap for bigger groups

As someone with no experience in coding, it seems like you could just improve purple rates incrementally with each additional player on the team and set a separate condition where if it’s a solo, it would just function how it already does. Yeah i support the idea of adding a better/higher purple rate for more people - like Rada mentioned, even a CM would be nice if that's an easier "blanket" fix, but i think in order to even suggest viable suggestions I wholeheartedly agree with Scorn 

 

 

Nonetheless, support. Solo Cox is boring as

I think you’ve got good points. The cox point system as a whole is kind of confusing. We could use some clarification on points and how they correlate to purples.

I support this, I prefer doing cox in teams rather than solo, it makes it more fun

I could not agree more with this suggestion. CoX, being a raid, should not punish you for bringing more people in with you. As you mentioned, this is not a thing on OSRS so I don't why it has been a thing here for such a long time... Balancing the purple rates with the amount of people in the raid just... makes sense.
And, as people mentioned above, not only would you be able to do CoX with your friends without that "i'm griefing my drop rates" feeling, it would be a nice incentive for clans to run learner raids.

However, as Yautja said, it is important that we do not turn this around - start rewarding group CoX but punishing solo CoX.

I support an overhaul of the CoX point system.

I couldn’t agree more. the issue isnt that duoing or masses specifically are bad for purples it’s that the whole system for CoX is broken. I’m not sure if Omi can even do anything about it at this point as people have been complaining about this for years and still nothing has been done. So as you said, it would need a complete overhaul on how it works which i doubt Omi would put the time into considering this raid is 10 years old at this point.

I support this tremendously!! Chambers does need some sort of a change!!  :( I just dont know how..  :unsure: But giving slightly better and more reasonable odds to do some fun group activity sounds fantastic!! Trios+ at cox is pretty much unheard of unless you are yelling and screaming out to the server to help you with ca's for cox lol It should just be natural for people to want to band together to raid some monsters!! All I know is that I would love to see people grouping together more for this content! ^_^ If it is worse rates for everyone the more people that want to join in, then that is a problem in itself! Raids should never punish you so much for having more people in the raid.. It scales up the more people in the raid, sometimes making the bosses harder and more unpleasant, on top the drop rates being worse from it??? Like huh???  :huh:  It just doesnt make sense to me.. And I see why everyone absolutely insists that you solo this raid, and only duo if you are under-leveled and need to be carried by someone else and are learning the raid lol

 

I just want to see and experience more group content that doesnt punish you and everyone for wanting to group together to have fun.. It's just so sad..  :( It's not much fun if there is never any loot to experience together! Yama, Nex and Nightmare are understandable, making for much faster kills (x2+), but for Raids imo is unacceptable!!! Because in my experience, raids take even longer with the more people who join, not faster.. Unlike killing Yama, Nex, or Nightmare etc in a group.. So raiding in groups is just blatantly inefficient. I would like it to not be!  <3 Please make some changes! All I see on Alora is how much people despise cox but absolutely love the other two raids! And I hate to say that I feel that same way!  :( 100 white chests from 100 solos/duos should be an almost impossible feature from average new players, but it seems to happen occasionally with only this raid somehow.. And I know cox is rather old content.. But what is stopping it from being updated for the better if people are unhappy with how it is and has been these last few years? Especially for grouping together? It only confirms that a change is needed! Even if its just a slight change! If its for the betterment of everyone, I say do it!  ^_^ Please consider!
